Law of Attraction: Are You Cheating On Yourself?

Sometimes it’s fine to cheat a little. Like giving yourself a day off from the gym. Sometimes, our body do need a break to recover from all the pumping and huffing. But don’t let it run into another day or weeks. Or perhaps, a scoop of that Häagen-Dazs won’t disrupt your glucose control. But then, the truth is, a diabetic can’t do totally without sugar either. Just don’t over-indulge yourself!

So you think giving yourself a break this once won’t hurt you? Well, it will if you let it become just once too often! It’s the same with the Law of Attraction. When you give yourself a break once too often by letting negative thoughts and emotions overcome you, it’s going to hurt you. Because, with each break you give yourself, you break your habit to sustain positive thinking. Like when;

  • You stepped on the weighing scale and you grumbled for missing one day at the gym …

  • While driving, someone cuts you off in traffic and you responded angrily …

  • When you are stuck in a long queue at the food counter, you are exasperated by the delay …

So the saying goes, “Old habits die hard!” It’s not going to be easy to break those old habits, But allowing yourself to fall back to those old habits every now and then can only mean you are cheating on yourself!

If you want to start making your intentions work for you, you’ve got to start to discipline yourself. Every thought you have is working towards creating your future. Be wary of what you are bringing into your thoughts. Start thinking of your negative, unhappy thoughts like a virus, they must be killed quickly, or they’ll infect every healthy cell in your body. Stop them quickly in their tracks and turn them into something that makes you happier or feel good.

It's about time Make positive thinking a part of your life all the time. Make conscious efforts to repeat positive thoughts to a point that they become habitual. Once they are on autopilot, they will be difficult to undo by any circumstances.

Today, inside my bubble ...

This morning, I posted a couple of questions to Ray ...

  • "If someone bought a product or engaged a service but failed to pay when due, is it cheating?"

  • "If that someone failed to pay and after a threat of legal actions, negotiated payment at a much lesser amount, is it still cheating?"

A contract of sale involves one party who agreed to provide the product or service and another party who agreed to receive the same at an agreed value, payable at the end of an agreed period. Failure to pay as agreed and subsequent payment made at lesser amount, irrespective mutually agreed or not, in my opinion, tantamount to CHEATING!

Friends, do you agree?
What's your opinion?

Oddly this evening, the issue of cheating arised again. Ray, Nicky and myself was out for dinner at this new steamboat shop in Bukit Tinggi, Klang. After selecting the menu, I had specifically requested the waiter for small portions which he duly acknowledged aloud. When the food arrived, we found them to be of generous portions and struggled to finished our dinner. To our surprise, when the bill came, we were charged for large portions. We paid the bill followed by some complaints, no doubt!

We were not angry though but were rather tickled by the waiter's lack of common sense! There were only 3 of us. So, a steamboat for 2 persons with added 4 small side dishes would have sufficed. After all the laughing, it suddenly crossed our minds ... was the waiter trying to cheat us?

SneakyWhen we first arrived at the restaurant, the waiter kept recommending expensive dishes which we turned down. We just wanted a normal steamboat meal, nothing elaborate. Perhaps, every which way possible to get us to spend on a hefty dinner!

Today, being a public holiday, the daily newspaper in our neighbourhood would normally be sold out by the time we are awake, NOON! On the way back from dinner, Ray, adamant and in his last bid to get a copy for his read, went into a Petronas petrol station to find one. None on the rack but the cashier pulled out a copy from under the register. He happily paid for it without checking. At home, he found it to be yesterday's newspaper, with cut-outs inside!

Law of Attraction: Is Your Dream A Message From You To You?

Have you ever awaken from your sleep in the middle of the night and felt so frightened because you had just gone through something terribly bad? It was possibly a bad dream!

Bad dreams normally arouse the feelings of intense terror or distress. During a bad dream, you would usually come upon a threat to life or safety. Bad dreams are often linked with your emotional state. In times of great mental stress and pressures, one often has bad dreams. These anxieties, unfounded fears, self-doubts and repressed feelings need to be healed and it is your own subconsciousness that's prompting you to act on these imbalances that need attention. It is an intuitive guide from within you!

I myself have frequently had bad dreams. I once had this bad dream repeatedly over the duration of several years. It was always exactly the same as if a repeated movie scene. I would wake up in anguish and felt distresssed over the next few days. I am unable to share the details of my bad dreams but sadly, this dream manifested and made my life topsy-turvy as mentioned in my earlier post: http://insidemybubbletoday.blogspot.com/2008/12/today-inside-my-bubble_04.html. Did my subconsciousness sent me a warning? Perhaps I could have avoided my sad predicament if I had paid attention to the message I sent to myself. No regrets, I just have to learn from it, make the best of it and move on.

According to the Law of Attraction, you attract into your life, whether good or bad, according to your thoughts and emotions. When you suffer inabilities to resolve your problems, you become vulnerable to fantasies, more inward looking and often think negatively. Thence, you send out negative vibrations and attract the like. Your dreams are your own subconsciousness calling out to you to stop your self-sabotage and act effectively towards bringing in a positive change into your life!

Just 2 nights ago, I had a terrifying dream of some ghostly voice calling out to me from my bedroom window. I awoke with fear and immediately reached out for my rosary. What's my dream telling me? For the last 2 days, I was not feeling well with bouts of diarhoea. Well, I guess I have over-indulged myself with food over the Christmas holiday. My deep submerged fear of gaining back those lost weight has creeped out to warn me ... PLEASE STOP THE BINGING!

Believe it or not, your mental and physical health largely dictates your dreams. Dreams are created by your own thinking processes. Thus it is important to understand your dreams for your best interests and healing. They might be suggesting something.

Law of Attraction: Hot Chocolate?

Whether you are a believer of the Law of Attraction or not, or even if you've never heard of it at all, it's either working for you or against you right now in your life.

A good friend of mine, Gilbert, sent me a very interesting email yesterday entitled 'Hot Chocolate' and I thought it's an appropriate idea to just share it with all my readers too.

Everyone seek to be successful in every aspect of their lives. However, before you can truly enjoy success, you must firstly be happy with your life. You are thankful for what you have already achieved and whenever you choose to give or share, it's your gratitude that moves you. Happiness, appreciation and gratitude are the essentials in allowing the Law of Attraction to work for you. Simply said, you can't manifest success to make you happy ... you need to be happy to manifest success!

Happy Boxing Day To You!

Today is Boxing Day! It's also known as St. Stephen's Day. St. Stephen was one of the first Christian martyrs, stoned to death in Jerusalem for believing in the teachings of Jesus.

Its origin dates back to past centuries when it was the custom for the wealthy to give gifts to employees or people in the lower social class, mostly household servants and other service personnel. Gifts among equals were exchanged on or before Christmas Day, but beneficences to the less fortunate were bestowed the day after.

An 'alms box' was placed in every church on Christmas Day. Worshippers will placed gifts in them for the poor in the parish. These boxes will then be opened the day after Christmas, which was how this day had come to be known as 'Boxing Day'.

Boxing Day is still celebrated and observed as a public holiday in many countries today. But in the spirit of modernity, can this social distinction between the lowly and the nobles or the servant and the master or the less fortunate and the rich, be an acceptable culture? Should this day continue to be practised with the same significance?

God "has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings" (Acts 17:26). We are all descendants of Adam. While we are divided between different nations, languages, ethnicities, religions and cultures, we are all the same human beings, created by the hand of God.
Make A Difference Social rank should neither be a yardstick in extending our helping hand. Embrace the spirit of sharing and giving because we know it's right and it makes us feel good, not only during Christmas but all year round!

What's Christmas To You?

Christmas is one of the most popular holy days on the Christian calendar which honours the birth of Jesus, and is observed by most Christian churches throughout the world. Christmas is the reflection of faith and togetherness which we've so easily forgetten with the priorities of our daily activities. It reminds us of our greater purpose in the Light of God's Will. It is a joyous time for all Christians as they give thanks to God for His infinite love and mercy.

Many ancient Christmas customs have survived to this day. Decorations of evergreen wreaths, holly and mistletoe, along with Christmas trees, are found in many homes during the season. Colored lights and candles are often displayed. Christmas gift exchanges fuel the children's excitement. Their eyes light up at the mention of Santa Claus or Father Christmas.

Christmas is celebrated in the churches with services that often include candlelight vigils, plays re-enacting the Nativity and hymns sung by children. Ceremonies on Christmas Day include masses, special readings from the bible and elaborate hymns and carols. Many churches are decorated with candles, greenery, and nativity scenes.

The fact that Christmas comes toward the end of the year gives the season a special meaning and a kind of closure to things. The spirit of hope mixed with a genuine sense of goodwill. The struggles of the year gone by culminate in this one week leading up the New Year, when everything is forgotten and people come together in the greater interest of Peace on Earth.

It's my last day in the office for 2008 too!
Whew! ... I'm off for a long stretch upto 2009.

Planned but yet to be confirmed ... Singapore here we come!
Just loved the Christmas deco along Orchard Road. However, heard it's been tone down this year due to the looming economic downturn. Anyhow, it's the atmosphere that counts.
For my Singaporean readers, I might just be roaming amongst you .....

Law of Attraction: Remembering The True Spirit of Christmas ...

'Tis the time of the year again, Christmas! The malls are packed with shoppers, lost in the rush to buy the ideal gifts they assumed their loved ones would appreciate. Meanwhile, we wander what we'll be getting this time round. It has become a season of materialism. Ask yourself, "have we lost the true meaning of Christmas?"

Through time, the real meaning of Christmas has slowly faded into the background. Perhaps it is time now for us to remember what Christmas truly means. It is a time when we should celebrate peace, love and forgiveness and the closeness to God. It's a time when the spirit and joy of giving makes us realise who and where we are. We should try to see beyond our own material perception and be of service to humanity.

While we enjoy the gifts, food and fine wine during Christmas, let's not forget to experience the joy of making a little difference in someone else's life too. Money is not always the only way and there are other forms of giving that can be as enjoyable and fulfilling. Here are some ideas:

  1. Offer someone a smile or a kind word, it can change someone's day.

  2. Be supportive and give encouragements to those around us.

  3. Volunteer our time for a worth cause.

  4. Share our knowledge freely with others who may benefit by it.

  5. Use our skills or expertise to help someone who can’t afford to pay for them.

  6. Reach out to help someone see beyond their pain and bring them closer to God.

  7. Offer a prayer of gratitude to the universe or God and ask for help for the needy, hungry and sick.

The spirit of Christmas is all about selflessness. Find that spot in our heart to be benevolent again and our scarcity thinking will soon dissolve. A mindset of abundance will flow through our reality to attract more abundance into our life.

Today, inside my bubble ...

Marketing is communication. So, marketing events have the single-minded goal to help the company connect with the eyes and ears of the customers. It is a platform for the customers to have a solid understanding of our products, to discuss the market trend, for the company to communicate its business direction, and also to socialise with the valued customers.
My employer held a 9-Ball Pool CompetitionBilliards
today for the second year in a row. All customers were invited to participate while some us employees were encouraged to participate and join in the fun. I could see that the competition were male dominant as there were only a handful of female participants, me being one of them. Is pool a man's game? The response was better than last year as there were more skilled players in the midst. There was also plenty of food and beer. This year's event is definitely a success again as the revelry could be heard from miles away. Everything ran smoothly, well organised and most importantly, everyone enjoyed themselves. I'm sure everyone's looking forward to next year's and I'm pretty sure the competition is going to be harder!

Couldn't post any pictures yet as the cameraman's Snappya little bit shy of the computer. He clicks but we will have to download the photos for him on Monday.

Law of Attraction: Getting Egoism Out of the Way ...

The primary motivation of the ego is one of outer self-importance and self-image. The ego is what keeps you separated from everyone and everything else. It hinders you from living the self-empowered and fulfilling life you so deserve to live.

Attempting to minimize the ego can be important as you begin your journey using the Law of Attraction. The Law of Attraction inculcates non-competition in an abundant universe. There's simply enough of everything for everybody. The abundance of the Universe is simply unlimited and you too have an access to it, if you can get your ego out of the way. To help minimize the ego, try practising some of these restraints:

  1. Try not to judge anything or anyone else around you, including and especially yourself. Don't give in to your ego's nagging, criticism or worry.

  2. Simply listen and give your full attention when others talk to you. Do you normally worry more about what your response is going to be instead of actually listening to what another person is actually saying? That is just your ego butting in again, looking for an intelligent response.
  3. When you are in conflict with someone else, ask yourself, "Is it better to be right, or better to be happy?" Your ego is the only one who cares whether you are right.

  4. When you feel that people are judging you and your ego feels the need to respond, simply say, "SO WHAT?! We are all the same, you and me."

  5. Appreciate all the people and things that exist in your life. Be at peace with where they are now.

  6. Make peace with yourself and affirm your own worth. Let go of the need to be externally defined and sustained.

Remember Friedrich Nietzsche said "Whenever I climb I am followed by a dog called Ego". It will not be easy, I assure you. You are about to find out how difficult it can be to get rid of ego. But as with anything, with practice...you will get better.

Today, inside my bubble ...

It's time again for the annual brainstorming session at my workplace. It's when my CEO gathers all the managers to his 'round table' ... 'King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table'. 'Tis time to put all the heads together to evaluate, plan and strategise for another year. It's going to be another 5-6 hours of post-mortem, SWOT analysis and forecasts. It's all about $$$ and cents.

The Law of Attraction is always working. How can we activate the Law of Attraction for the business' success? How do we get it to work in our favour and "transform the business into a powerful magnet to attract the perfect customers and employees?"
Thumbs UpI do hope 'King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table' stumble upon this blog to prod them along.

Law of Attraction: Keep Your Enemies At Bay ...

Which is worst?
The enemy within or the enemy at the gates?

  • Enemy Within:
  • The Law of Attraction shows how you can create the events, things and people who come into your life. All our feelings, thoughts, words and actions produce vibrations and energies which in turn will attract likewise. If you are negative, you will attract negative people into your life. If on the other hand, you are positive and release positive energy, you will attract people with positive energy.

  • Enemy At The Gates:
  • While there are many who will have you believe that you are the sole creator of all the negative circumstances in your life, this is not always the case. Humans have a highly developed brain, capable of abstract reasoning, language, introspection and problem solving. Unfortunately with this mental capability, they complicate the good and the evil influences over their decisions. So you have those who choose to love you and there are those who choose to hurt you.

While it is true that you are the center of your reality with full authority on what you will allow into your space, you are still part of the human race. Everyone's connected. Everything's energy! This contradiction of the positive energies from within you and the negative energies from the environment may be holding you back from manifesting your desires.
SO ... WHICH IS WORST? Duh
Which do you wish to change first?
    Which can you change?

    Today, inside my bubble ...

Wow! This is my 100th entry.
Imagine I've come managed to come thus far. I'm so proud and thankful!
Unlike my other earlier blog, I couldn't even sustain to the 2oth entry. It died out by the 15th entry. Why? Because it was a blog on negative issues. It just got more and more depressing after each entry.
Computer "Inside My Bubble Today" is positive and motivates me daily. It's a place where I can share my thoughts each day and capture the positive vibes into my Vibrational Bubble. Sometimes, the most negative of all negative persons or situations could drive my mood spiralling downwards. However, penning my thoughts into this blog and receiving the generous feedback from my Readers are a great tool to perk me up and de-stress me!
Thank YouTo all my Readers, thanks for your valuable support. I visualise myself posting my 200th, 500th and 1000th entries in the very near future.

    Today, inside my bubble ...

I so want to beat myself up now!Club
    I failed ... I failed ...
    I succumbed to temptations!
    Thumbs DownArghhhhhh!!!
    Talk about self-sabotage!
Had a sumptious lunch with my friends, Jess and Lynn today.
    Oh noooooo!!! Broke my diet!
Supposed to have something light ... couldn't resist the temptation!
    That "Mee Rebus"!
Treadmill Now I have to sweat and pant my head off to burn off those carbo!

Well as I was mentioning, met up with my friends over lunch today. While it had been wonderful exchanging the latest in-things with each other, I failed so miserably later when we got into talking about the workplace and colleagues. How could I fell into my own trap? Those dastardly acts called bad-mouthing and gossips! No wonder there's this saying "Old habits die hard".

Well, no point beating myself up anyway. The fact that I continue to be vocal negatively about the workplace clearly meant I still have unresolved issues. I have not move on! It is without doubt that I must reassess and ask myself:
    • why am I still unhappy at the workplace?
    • what are the issues still bugging me?
    • are these issues of my own doing?
    • how can I remove these discontentments?

I guess I'd better self-interrogate immediately before I continue to self-sabotage further. As Ralph Waldo Emerson nicely put it, "Go put your creed into your deed."

Law of Attraction: Sustaining Through Recession ...

It was back in 1997. I had just left a company I've been with for the past 7 years and joined a new one. Coincidentally, I had also left the previous job after 7 years too. Noticed the peculiar attachment to the number '7'. I thought it was the '7-year itch' that made me switch jobs. Then, just 7 months into my new position, I was retrenched. Last in first out! That was the 1997 financial crisis. Not knowing what I did not know then, I rode through that crisis alittle scathed but the wiser.

Now the bells are tolling again for another global economic crisis. Do you think this is reality or someone else’s opinion? Are you one of the millions who check the papers, TV, radio or Internet daily in anticipation of the recession? Does it really have to affect you?

Let's face it! The growth or slump of the global or the regional or a nation's economy are beyond us. Let the elected statesmen or women manage it. Let' not fret over what's not inside our bowl but concentrate on how not to be distressed by the economic disposition. So, how can you consciously apply the law of attraction to sustain yourselves until the economy recovers?

Learning to apply the law of attraction confidently will greatly benefit your life. Use this law of the universe to attract the changes that can help you manage positively during the times of distress. First and foremost, unlock your subconscious mind to harness a positive outlook and send out your positive energies to the universe. Remember you want to attract what you really want into your life, so if you don’t want a recession in your life, don’t attract one by dwelling on it!

Here's some simple pointers to get you along:-

    1. Be thankful each day for all the goodness in your life at the moment and you'll be satisfied that you have enough. When you send thoughts of enough, the Law of Attraction will want to send you more.

    2. Instead of constantly thinking how the recession's going to affect you, as this will only attract the lack in your thoughts, think "I have all I need" or "My needs are enough" so that you focus on having enough.

    3. Continue your deliberate attraction for all the goodness and the Law of Attraction will unfold and orchestrate all that needs to happen to return them to you.

    4. Do not be zealous with the information you received about the impending recession. Don't complicate it but focus on the positive to look out for the opportunities when they come around.

    5. Give back at every opportunity. When the economy goes into reverse, many become more reluctant to part with any money, in case they turn out to need it themselves. But during the more difficult times, the number of those in need increases. All the more it is important for charitable giving.

There's no point to harbour fear over the effects of recession anymore. Remember, it all depends on your belief, thoughts and actions. Believe in the power of your subconscious mind. Think the right thoughts and where necessary take action to capitalise on the delivered opportunities.

"The only thing to fear is fear itself" says US President, Franklin Roosevelt for he knew that fear is a powerful emotion that attracts negative results. It is all up to you, just as it is all up to me what happens in my life.

    Today, inside my bubble ...

Many people do not realise that they are self-sabotaging themselves. They believe that if they can shut out the miserable part of their life and focus on the good one, they are happy. WRONG! They are so wrong. You can't send out positive vibes to attract goodness when deep down inside you carry an unwanted baggage. You can't truly feel good when you have not truly expel all the bad thoughts and emotions.

I've a colleague who faced a domestic inquiry a few months ago. I'm not going into details about the inquiry but the fact that she's my colleague should suffice to know the outcome. She was a young lady with a very strong character. A good trait to a certain extent but she can be a real pain otherwise. The inquiry has left her a bitter and negative person. I can't blame her for all the anger inside while also feeling obscure at the same time. She had such a bright future in the organisation, but whether it had been her own fault or otherwise, her career has come to a standstill, unless she reclaim control.

It is so common for people to say, "time heals". It can only be true if we choose to allow it to happen. By allowing means we tell ourselves to move on. As I've mentioned in my previous entry, make peace with the past and free ourselves to live in the now. Holding on to the past do not benefit anyone and only affect ourselves. "Like attract like".

I feel sad for her because she has chosen not to move on. She has been reassigned to a new role with different responsibilities. She may not like the type of responsibilities but the choice is not up to her in our organisation ...

Paris Is Free ... To me, she has 2 options within her grasp:

    1. Choose a fresh start in a new organisation with a job function of her choice; or

    2. Choose to prove her capability in her new capacity, if not BETTER!

Friends, what would be your choice if you're in the same predicament? If she chooses to remain in the organisation, what's your advice for her? Please feel free to contribute your comments.

Law of Attraction: How To Tune Out The Saboteur ...

Yesterday, I wrote of self-sabotage. Are you puzzled how you could possibly be a saboteur to your own success? If you are willing to take the time and explore deep within yourselves, you may find that you still harbour limiting beliefs caused unaware by some of these buried negative thoughts and emotions:

    • Anger - Refused to let go of the past
    • Fear - Intimidated by expected changes
    • Contentment - Reluctance to move out of the comfort zone
    • Mis-interpret - Expecting your desire through your desired means
    • Impatience - Expecting instantaneous results
    • Frustration - Pre-occupied with the evidences
    • Unappreciative - Failure to see and appreciate the small improvements

With the Law of Attraction, you learn how to manifest what you want, and you do understand the mechanisms involved. In the end, you are simply sending out positive energy surrounding your desire, but you must trust the Law of Attraction to send it back to you in its time. While the Law of Attraction is orchestrating all that needs to happen, overcome your self-sabotaging habits and start investing your energy to create feel good habits. How can you tune into the flow of all good things when you still feel stuck in your old habits?

    Here are some simple tips:

    1. Make peace with the past and reclaim your power over the present. Free yourself to live in the now. Tell yourself you're worth it!

    2. Set achieveable intentions - start with simple realistic ones and put in the determined actions. When actions match the intentions, there will be success!

    3. Everytime success happens, even the smallest, let yourself get a little 'high' with self-confidence. Tell yourself you deserve it!

    4. With the developed confidence, think YES, think BIG, think I CAN! Now face the challenges. Tell your fears to get lost! After a few times, you'll probably tell yourself that it wasn't that bad after all. Future challenges will be a breeze.

    5. Lots of small successes will lead to bigger ones, don't forget to be thankful for every one of them. Incorporate your progress toward feeling good.

There are more focused activities that you can do, that you can learn to do quickly, quietly and efficiently, that can help you to tune your subconscious mind into your biggest supporter.

Law of Attraction: The Need to Overcome Self-Sabotage ...

If you're struggling to achieve your aspirations, despite being inspired and knowing exactly what to do, yet things still do not seem to fall in place, you may be self-sabotaging yourself. How? What's really happening when you sabotage yourselves?

Firstly, let's not forget the power of your subconcious mind. You create your own circumstances through your subconscious mind. Most individual have been conditioned to think and react negatively whenever uncertainties loom ahead due to an instilled fear, fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of regret, fear of change and so on. Subconsciously, you are frightening yourselves into self-sabotage!

Before anyone can overcome self-sabotage, there's a need to explore your thoughts, emotions and actions. You need to understand where these fears are coming from and how they are influencing your actions or inactions. Once you have determined the causes, you can then take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

As an example, you want financial prosperity. You are inspired and know exactly what to do to energise yourselves and the infinite intelligence sends you leads in the form of opportunities and ideas. But subconsciously, you may be frightened by the thoughts of failure or change. You understand the risks you have to take, yet you become weakened in your actions. You react too slowly that the opportunities slipped away.

On the other hand, you may be frightened by the thoughts of regrets or missed opportunities, so you just jump right in without any evaluation. You react too quickly that you failed to realise whether you have the know-how or if you are prepared for the long haul.

As another example, you may dream of a successful relationship. You energised yourself well that you found yourself in a relationship that you always dream of. But no matter what you do, it still did not last. Perhaps subconsciously you fear making the wrong choice. Even if the relationship hits the mark, you belief the next relationship could possibly be better.

You have no awareness that there are destructive efforts from within your subonsciousness due to the uncertainties in your mind caused by your doubts and fears. Prepare to ask yourself what you are afraid of. Explore any possibilities from your past to present to help you get out of the self-sabotage rut. When you have established an insight into your inner fears, you will rein full control of your thoughts, emotions and actions. You will be able to create the outcomes the way you want and stop the self-sabotage.

Am I sabotaging myself? It's a question I've been asking myself for weeks. And the answer ... ohhhh ... regretfully, a resounding YES!!!

While I've worked hard to remove the negative spell of the past year, certain situations or persons sometimes trigger the memory and emotional reactions. It feels as if I'm on “auto-pilot” with little control over my reactions of anger, sadness, fear, guilt or even, jealousy. I am the saboteur to my own desires, denying myself from what I am capable to achieve in the shortest of time whenever I lose control. I know I need to reclaim my control over my subconscious mind. I need to strengthen my psychological immune system by making peace with my past. To forgive and to forget!

Last Sunday, while I was waiting for Nicky to finish work, I popped into Carrefour to grab a few grocery items. Never did I expect I would end-up with an unpleasant encounter with a rude and angry cashier.

It all happened unprovoked. I had only 3 items in hand. So I headed for the express lane to pay for them. I was 3rd in queue. However, as the cashier was accepting payment for the gentleman in front of me, she very rudely asked me and the rest behind me to change queue as she had to get small change for her cash register. Quietly I changed to the next queue. However, the queue wasn’t moving at all when this cashier returned to her counter. Politely I asked her if I could pay at her counter. She nodded without looking at me while extending her hand to accept my items. While punching in the cash register, suddenly this was what followed:

Cashier: “Make sure you have small change with you!” … (she blasted rudely in Bahasa Malaysia to all of us in the queue)

Me: “I don’t have small change just a RM50 note” … (She ignored me and finished punching all 3 items, so I had to give her my RM50 note)

Cashier: (yelled!) … “Didn’t I told you to make sure to have small change!”

Me: (taken aback) … ‘What can I do, I don’t have small change? What if this man here also don’t have small change too, what can he do? You don’t have to be so rude, we are paying customers here. We are not taking things for free.”

Cashier: “I already told you to have small change ready. I already got scolding from my supervisor just now!”

Me: “That’s your problem with your supervisor, don't take it out on us!” … (I took a closer look at her name tag “Sha Rina”)

Cashier: (she challenged) ... “Go, go ahead and report!” … (while handing me the receipt and my change)

Boy, was I fuming by then! I didn't want to say anything else and proceeded to report to the Duty Manager. Their customer service subsequently called me yesterday to get a feedback on what actually transpired. I don't feel bad for complaining. If I had not, then the problem would have persisted. Look at the long run, Carrefour's image is affected. Their industry is so competitive and quality service is as important as pricing. All this can spiraled down to affect their bottom line and subsequently all their employees too.

All this over the fuss about small change. She had the change anyway... just give me the change and I would be off! Probably she did have a bad encounter with her supervisor earlier but must she be so inconsiderate and take it out on innocent bystanders.

Would you have react differently? What would have been your reaction? How would you expect Carrefour to handle this situation? Please feel free to contribute your comment.

Law of Attraction: How to Tame That Temper ...

There's nothing wrong with getting angry. Anger is a natural and important human emotion. There are always those moments when you feel irritable or moody or when you just want to scream to release those frustrations. Anger can be very healthy when it's handled correctly. It's one of the ways your subconscious mind is telling you that things aren't going the way you need them to be. How it's expressed will determine how each situation will turn out.

Sadly today, I've failed to control my temper with Nicky. All of us got up late this morning after a late night of movies and computer games. Nicky had been moody the whole time and was further aggitated because he was having a login problem to his Maple game. When I enquired, he was rude and his line of answer were just eating up my patience. In the end, disappointingly I blew up and scream at him. Thankfully, we've ended the hostility with a truce ... we both admit that we've been wrong. To prevent any future negative outbursts, I realised I have to take control over myself more effectively.

So how do you stop from reacting angrily? How do you prevent explosive reactions?

According to the Law of Attraction, you are just like a magnet, sending out energy on one end, only to receive it again at the opposite end. The Law of Attraction is about thoughts and emotions. It rewards any thought with the same thought or any emotion with the same emotion. The reward of patience is patience. The reward of anger is anger. The reward of love is love. This is your CHOICE!

If you find yourself irritable, moody or carrying some pent-up frustrations, see what is causing them and make corrections immediately. Search inside you and try forgive which will include yourself too. Move forward firmly towards what will bring you happiness. When you focus on positive thoughts and emotions, your anger will start to dissipate.

Here's some simple tips to take control of yourself:

    1. Think carefully before you say anything so that you don't end up saying something you'll regret.

    2. If you're too angry to think rationally, remove yourself from the situation.

    3. Give yourself a few quiet minutes alone to cool down. Think of something relaxing.

    4. When you feel your body relax, take a few deep breaths.

    5. Return to the original situation and try a different approach.

    6. If your new approach doesn't help you stay in control of your temper, repeat steps 1-4.

    7. If you've got a problem with someone, don't hold it inside, let him/her know about it.

    8. Use humor to release tensions, such as imagining yourself or the other person in silly situations. Don't use sarcasm, though — it's just another form of unhealthy expression.
    Always remember: Devil

    • The reward for patience is happiness.
    • That 5 seconds stand between you and logic, count to 5, and remember that logic always beats anger.

    Today, inside my bubble ...

Wow! A tiring day... my feet aches and I can't wait to get to bed.
While I'm very sleepy right now, I still want to share this.

It's a proud day for Ray and me. At 11.00 this morning, we sent Nicky to Carrefour for his first day's work as a promoter. It's not that he had never work before for his own pocket-money. He did his own business washing cars around the neighbourhood when he was 14. Then he waited tables at the neighbour restaurants last year. But this time, I believe the job will allow him more exposure to life experiences.

While waiting for him, Ray and me spend the whole day at Sunway Pyramid ... walking and walking and walking ... of course it's not just window-shopping, luckily ... buy buy buy ... munch munch munch ... then walk walk walk some more ... Tired? Definitely! We were just wandering how we are going to reach Mt. Kinabalu summit come February.

Nicky finished work almost 10 pm. We discussed his first day over our late dinner. No doubt he was tired but he seemed so discouraged. He complained about the lack of customers at the supermarket, eventhough it's a weekend and his encounter with some insensitive customers. We listened and we advised him to just hang-in there and take every bit of the experience as an eye-opener. I had to remind him ...

"Good or bad the way things turned out, it's all in our mind.
If we think it's bad, it's bad.
If we think it's good, it's going to be good.
If it's bad and cannot be undone, find an alternative to get out.
Don't sulk and whine, be PROACTIVE!"

    Today, inside my bubble ...

Guess my friend here says it all ...
    It's the weekend again!
    Time to chill out!
    Clubbing! Shopping! Movies! Eat! Sleep!
    Next 48 hours ...
    TIME TO LIVE ALITTLE!!!

Wherever You Are ... The Muar Misiput Gals!!!

Looks like the 'Muar Misiput Gals' are moving along, albeit a little snail paced. We've got 8 members to-date. Well, some of the gals may just be very busy with their work and family commitments while the others may not be readily accessible to the internet.

I feel so happy and excited each time one of the old gals sign-up. Can't wait for the group to grow and the gals start flooding with their posts, each trying to catch-up with the other. Meanwhile, I wish those already signed up can be a little bit more active ?????

    Today, inside my bubble ...

In my post yesterday, I wrote about applying the Law of Attraction towards making your new year resolutions. In the past, I rarely made any resolutions, not because I was lazy or anything but because I did not find the necessity to as I was happy and contented the way things were. I thought I was so blessed with the man I love supporting me all the time and a son that's constantly creating upheavals to liven our lives with a job that I loved very much and a boss that I adored.

Then something very destructive happened to me last year (it's too personal which I am not able to share here) that turned my whole life and career upside down. My perfectly energised world collapsed. Everything was topsy turvy and I couldn't find a way out until I discovered 'The Secret'. As I delved more and more into the Law of Attraction, I realised that it is important to have clarity over what I desire out of this life. Without that clarity, I am susceptible to wander off my path towards abundance. Without that clarity, how am I to go the next level of achieving true success in life?

So it's a time now for me to reflect on the changes I want to make and resolve to follow through on those changes with immediate effect. Why wait till 1st January 2009? I'd better get going and have a head start!

    1. Forgive And Forget:
It’s best to forgive and forget because thinking on the misdeeds means I have not forgiven completely. I vow to Move Forward! Look to the future and be thankful that I am stronger from it all. This experience of forgiveness can be therapeutic!

    2. Enjoy My Life:
Given the hectic and stressful lifestyles of modern living, I shall be a little selfish to ensure a happier and healthier me! Apart from our usual clubbing nights, I am already discussing with hubby to include watching theater performances and the philharmonic concerts. I intend to try hydro-therapy at the local wellness centre to bring a balance to my body, mind and soul! Work shouldn't always come first!

    3. Spend more time with family and friends:
I vow to appreciate my loved ones and spend more time with family and friends. I will make plans to meet up with friends, go on family excursions and get-togethers. With the 'Muar Misiput Gals' group already under way, long lost friends shall become regulars!

    4. Health and Fitness:
I vow to make my regular trips to the gym more enjoyable as I increase my fitness and longevity. I know the exercises keep me healthy and my diabetes in check. Mostly importantly, I feel and look good! Weight loss target ... 6 kgs!

    5. Join In The Workplace:
Until it becomes the right time for my retirement before my 46th birthday, I vow to remain engaged in my work with less tenacity. I vow to be a little more open and interact with fellow colleagues. I shall even bless them with my lustrous pearls of wisdom!

    6. Improve My Financial Health:
Getting a handle of the Law of Attraction, I am thankful for all the financing I've received and I vow to reduce if not all my debts. I intend to generate my first quality income through my blog on the Internet. I envision a life of plentiful with the RM20 million Jackpot!

    7. Try Something New:
I vow to try something new and I am looking forward to conquer Mt. Kinabalu in February 2009. I aimed to reach the summit and enjoy that enormous victorious feeling. It's definitely different!

    8. Charity Through Gratitude:
Gratitude shall not suffice unless I put forth the action to give. I vow to make the space in my heart and roll with action for those less fortunate than me. It applies all year round!

Wrapping up 2008, it's been a trying year but I know I have wrest over the controls. I have made marked improvements over my thoughts, emotions and health. I still have alot to change for the better towards receiving the infinite abundance.

Friends, thanks for taking time out to read my resolutions.
I believe it's time for you to start on yours!

"Character is the ability to carry out a good resolution
long after the excitement of the moment has passed"

Law of Attraction: Apply Law of Attraction For Your New Year Resolutions

As Christmas approaches, the year 2008 is also almost at its end. Here comes 2009! The New Year is not only a time for making resolutions, it is also a time for hoping for a better year. Any new resolutions made yet for your future? It’s a perfect time to focus on what you really want to attract into your life.

Before you decide on your new resolutions, try asking yourself these:

    • Am I happy with my life?
    • Am I thinking positively?
    • How did I fare for the current year?
    • Am I enthusiastic about life or just contented with the way things are?
    • Am I determined to achieve whatever I want?
    • Am I sabotaging myself with how I feel, how I act and what I say?
    • Do I truly believe that I deserve better?

According to the Law of Attraction, your thoughts shape your actions and behaviour. If you are a positive thinker and believe you have control over your destiny, you will consistently release a highly energized vibration, ENTHUSIASM! Just as Henry Ford said:

“Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes
your hopes shine to the stars.
Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eyes,
    the swing in your gait.
The grip of your hand, the irresistible surge of will
and energy to execute your ideas.”

The Law of Attraction has been around since the beginning of time. Jesus, Lao Tzu , Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr and even Oprah Winfrey, are well-known believers of the Law of Attraction. So, if you are already thinking positive with high-energy thoughts, don't wait any longer. Just as Michael J. Losier coaches, create your ideal desire statement NOW!. Allow it to happen by complementing your enthusiasms with your actions. You’ll surprise yourself with what you can attract.

    Today, inside my bubble ...

The SPM examinations' finally over for Nicky.
Yesterday, he sat for his last paper.

Hmmmm .... I thought I saw a slouch on my couch yesterday evening!
It won't be until end-March 2009 for his results to be out.
Until then ... what's he got lined up for himself?
    1. Get a driving licence ... need to start driving lessons soon!
    2. Join a youth camp ... let's see if the Church has anything lined up after Christmas.
    3. Get a part-time job ... what can a 17-year-old do? Waitering? Assistant trainer at the local gym?
    4. Maybe sign up for a lifeguard course ... after all he is a good swimmer.

Ahhhhh ... if I allow myself not to be so uptight about his future and by 'Just Being', I am thankful for all that's him. He may not be the perfect angel but are we? He's maturing and growing up to be quite a handsome young man now ...

"A CHIP OFF THE OLD BLOCK!"

As much as I want him to have a secured and successful future, I guess the choice is still his to make. As far as Ray and myself are concern, there is always room for negotiation and compromise.

End of the day, no one can claim success if they are without HAPPINESS!

    Today, inside my bubble ...

Hey! It's the first day of the last month of the year,
    1st December 2008!Balloon
'Tis the time of year for giving and receiving. Present

Before you get down to list your gifts for this season, take a short while to appreciate all that you have received for this whole wonderful year. Write down whatever that comes to your mind and make a list. It can be just a smile or a new friend or an old friend who stuck by you or a beautiful present or some 'ang pow' (monetary gift) you received. Spare a quiet moment to be thankful for these gifts you have listed. Feeling good, you will find your list that gives straight from the heart. If you are at a lost for gifts to give, a simple 'Thank You' card will just be as valuable.

When you acknowledge and are genuinely grateful for all you are receiving, you create a positive energy of abundance in your Vibrational Bubble to attract more.
3D Santa Ho ho ho ... MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Law of Attraction: Living With Diabetes ...

Diabetes is a disease in which the body does not produce or properly use insulin. Insulin is a hormone that is needed to convert sugar, starches and other food into energy needed for daily life. The cause of diabetes could be due to either genetics and environmental factors such as obesity and lack of exercise. The World Health Organization (WHO) has predicted that there will be a doubling of the number of people with diabetes between now and 2030. In Malaysia alone, over 1.2 million people are diagnosed with diabetes and the number is rising. Therefore, it has become crucial for everyone to realise the importance to adopt a healthy lifestyle to contain the disease from progressing.

Being diagnosed a diabetic is not the end of the world. A diabetic can still lead a normal, happy and active life as they did before their diagnosis. Living with diabetes is a matter of taking control over the disease and preventing complications. If you are not proactive about control, it can lead to some common effects such as vision problems, kidney damage, nerve damage, heart and circulation problems. No doubt various modern medicines are available at hand but you must compliment them with the most potent factor of them all, “YOURSELF!”. If it is not possible to eliminate, at least you can decide to minimize or control the root cause of the disease.

Here are some basic efforts within your grasp that can allow you to live fruitfully with diabetes:

    • Begin with a positive attitude. You have the ability to determine your health. Studies showed that happy people have exceedingly lower numbers of health problems.

    • Change of lifestyle. Continue to be proactive about your health. Educate yourselves on the latest information when it comes to diabetes.

    • Educate yourself about your diet. Your nutrition and diet is important towards initiating control. Be inventive about wholesome healthy meals and you can still maintain the joy of eating.

    • Monitor your weight. Obesity and sedentary lifestyle are pre-cursors to diabetes. Adopt some form of regular exercise may it be just brisk walking or cycling or jogging or strength training etc.

    • Water is extremely important. It is nature’s gift. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day will help flush your body system and maintain blood sugar levels.

    • Find the right supplements. Being diabetic requires additional intake of certain supplements such as omega-3, chromium, coenzyme Q10, garlic, magnesium and potassium. It is vital that you undertake any supplemental regimen with the close consultation of your doctor.

    • Finding a natural health therapy that best suit you such exercise and relaxation (yoga, taichi or qigong) or hydrotherapies (such as hot tubs and spa baths) or chromotherapies (colour illuminations).

I’m diabetic too and I choose to live positively to keep the balance between my body and mind. Let’s start to EMPOWER OURSELVES now to overcome our inner barrier towards effective diabetes management. ENERGISE our vibrational bubble with OPTIMISM and CELEBRATE OUR LIFE as much as living with or without diabetes.

    Today, inside my bubble ...

I've been feeling under the weather since this morning.
Having a bad headache and my body aches all over,
I think my joints are dropping off.

Big SneezeMust be this flu going around this past week.
Almost every time, someone near is sneezing or something.
Funny thing, my internet line seems to be feeling under
    the weather too!
It is so DARN SLOW since yesterday night.
Will have to continue later. Sleeping

    Today, inside my bubble ...

Today I am overwhelmed with calm. I feel less conflict within myself today and I am delighted that whatever I had started out to do are progressing well. I am grateful with the happy and peaceful moments that's growing within my family. I shall continue to overcome my mental conflict by affirming frequently:

"I am one with my inner consciousness.
I release my request with faith and confidence.
It is my right to be rich, happy and successful.
Day in day out, I am being prospered in all of my interests.
Money flows freely to me and endlessly.
I know my true worth and give my talent freely.
    I am wonderfully blessed financially.
    It is so Wonderful!"

Law of Attraction: Manisfesting Troubles At The Wheels!

Ever wondered why some drivers frequently faced mishaps on the road?
Why some are so prone to car problems than others?
Why some are so reckless yet so confident?

When I had my first brand new car, a Proton Saga:
~ a public bus swerved right into my side while stationary at a red light, 4 months-old only!
~ Twice! my windscreen was shattered by flying pebbles, consecutively one after the other!
~ bumped into the rear of a Nissan Sunny when the driver applied emergency break!
~ ran over a dog that dashed in front of my car, luckily dog not harmed but my car was!

Next, I switched to a brand new Proton Wira:
~ a lorry driver purposely let his lorry glide into mine during peak hour traffic jam!
~ a youngster hastily reversed his car right into mine because he and his friends were excited over a parking!

Then changed to a brand new Proton Iswara:
~ couldn’t understand why there’s always some sort of mechanical problems …
~ subsequently discovered that the car had prior accident!
~ so CHEATED! Bought the car from an authorized dealer!

Geez! Lost all confidence in the National Car! But still couldn't afford the foreign-imports, so turned to the Second National Car, PERODUA.

    Got myself a KEMBARA.
    Such a under-powered 4WD …
No pickup … a PETROL-GUZZLER! However, its wonder is ...
I HAVE CONFIDENCE! … Fear not the road bullies or the reckless ...
except for BUSES & LORRIES! In some ways, I guess when you drive a 4WD, you get RESPECTED! It's the power of the sub-conscious mind.
    NO FEAR = NO DENTS!
