Fundamentally, we attract what we give energy, focus and attention to. We are bombarded with all sorts of stuff every day. In reality, as we walk or drive down a street, we see only a fraction of what is in front of us. So, we see what we are tuned into. Ever buy a new car and all of a sudden, we see that same car in the same color all over the place. That’s what we are tuned to. We simply see what we are focused on. In any situations, we are naturally influenced by our surroundings, be it happy or pleasant or hostile or treacherous. We react according to what we see and absorb the positive or negative energies that comes along with it.
Both positive and negative energies take a strong role in attracting what we do and don't want in our lives. So the longer we remain in the presence of negative people the more negative experiences we will have. Eventually, our energy and outlook will be pulled downward. We will become as negative in our thoughts and emotions as our environment. If we work in a negative environment, it is vital to keep our thoughts and emotions as positive as possible all the time. It is much harder to lift up negative thoughts and feelings than it is to drag down positive ones. Check out: http://insidemybubbletoday.blogspot.com/2009/01/law-of-attraction-repel-negative.html.
That's why it's so important to surround ourselves with like-minded people. After being submerged in the energies of those with low self-esteem or high levels of anxiety or those who are basically disgruntled with everything and anyone, our personal environment must be cleansed and renewed with positive energy to maintain our light and health. However, before anything else, it is important to have the desire and self discipline to create change in our surroundings. Remember we can never bend the will of another to ours with good result. If the people around us choose not to change, then release them gracefully and accept the opportunity to move on. Don’t be afraid to move forward! If we don’t see any marked improvement through our continued efforts within our desired period, we may need to consider a change of environment.
Being around positive energy can help to increase our own. Allow ourselves to receive those good things that come to us. Create a sanctuary within ourselves that resonates with positive energy and in turn, we may help to energize positively someone else’s environment.
