Today, inside my bubble ...

Just the other day during the Nite Run By The Lake, Lavin, one of my newly acquired running friends, had described herself as ‘young with a body of an old woman’. And she’s only 25! That got me thinking …

Since I’ve unabashedly described myself as a baby-boomer … my age would be no less than 45 with my biological clock supposedly slowing to a halt and my eyes requiring correction with bifocal lenses. Am I over-the-hill or is there still a glimmer of possibility for me to be ‘old but with the body of a young woman’?

There’s no denying the fact, I’m not the young woman I once was! And reality do sunk in when I’ve been suffering aches all over for the past 2 weeks. My right shoulder hurts when I lift (think I have a torn ligament), my knees jammed whenever I go up and down the stairs, my bunions hurts too … OUCHHH!!! Right now, I would truly truly claimed myself to be ‘an old woman with the ancient body’. When did I grow so old?

In instances like this, my constant reminder to me … ‘I’m YOUNG-AT-HEART, EASY-GOING and I want to enjoy the NOW!’ Pain! pain!! pain!!! ... go away, you're not welcomed anymore!

Let’s look at some of those popular celebrities who are growing old gracefully … older than me but with bodies that even the young would die for … Madonna, Demi Moore, Tina Turner, Cher, Susan Sarandon, Michelle Pfeiffer, Sophia Loren, to name a few. I wonder ... do they suffer body aches like us too? Being rich can be an added advantage but not necessarily the main ingredient to their fountain of youth since we can still noticed other celebrities who are unable to achieve the same feat. So, what’s their secret?

Well, do you believe in the Law of Attraction? I do … and I believe these women who have outdone the forces of nature, do too! If you want to know, check out my next post.
