My Bubble: Out Of Commission

I'm down! I'm down!! I've been hit by the FLU BUGS!!!

To all my friends, readers and followers out there in the blogosphere, thousand apologies. I'll be out of commission for a short awhile. It's been stressful these past few days, trying to pull myself together, warding off those crummy flu bugs. But alas ... the flu bugs won! A runny nose, a dry throat and worst, a bugging headache! Feverish at times, hopefully I'll be up and running to the office by tomorrow morning ... I have to if I'm going to prove myself worthy of an employment confirmation by the end of 3 months' time, if not earlier.

A big thanks to Cheryl and Steven for the hot-brewed herbal soup over dinner just now. I'm already sweating as I type here and Ray feels the same too. I guess the herbs must be starting to work its wonders right this moment.

Hey! After sweating it out, I should be alright come morning. It's all in the mind ... it's all in the mind. I must convey the message to my subconscious mind, "I'LL BE FINE AND STRONG TOMORROW!"

Happy 52nd Birthday Malaysia

Merdeka! Merdeka!! MERDEKA!!!

Malaysia celebrates its 52nd year of independence today. This year's theme is "1Malaysia. People First. Performance Now."

As our Prime Minister had called out in his speech on the eve of this celebration, "Let us ensure the hallowed banner of our Jalur Gemilang flies proud in the eyes of the world. Together, let us pray for this noble journey to continue, blessed and guided by God", may all Malaysians here and abroad move forward towards a united nation where we are not judged by our race and religion but respected as an individual in our own right. Malaysia is for everyone because it belongs to everyone!

HAPPY MERDEKA DAY ALL MALAYSIANS!

My Bubble: You Never Try, Then You'll Never Know

Have you ever been pressured into doing something you don't want to in the first place? Did you do it to please or you just wanted to give yourself a chance? As the commonly used adage goes, "you never try, you'll never know".

I've entered my very first race today. The Pacemakers 5th Anniversary Relay or in short, PAR5. It's a relay race comprising 4 runners to a team, each completing a distance of 2.6km. Total route's 10.4km. It was held at the Lake Gardens in Kuala Lumpur this morning. Of the 33 teams registered under the competitive category, Kota Kemuning Pacers registered 5 teams and my team was named 'KK Pacers Xtra'. We managed to complete the race in the 27th position. My timing could have been better if not for a prevailing flu as I completed my leg at 16:27 minutes. The other teams were 'KK Pacers Uno' who finished at 8th position, 'KK Pacers Racers' at 18th position, 'KK Pacers Juniors' at 29th position and 'KK Pacers X' at 32nd position. Not bad huh for a new running club that's less than 5 months old.

Anyway back to my question. I've emphasised many a times before that I do not like running except for health reasons. Regular running is part of my effort to manage my diabetes. There's no pressure to train, no expectations to excel but a personal assurance that I'm fit and in control of my health. So, how on earth did I ended up in a race? And the worst embarassment would have been for me to pull out because I volunteered in the very beginning!

One of my running friends, Grace had a good point when she said "with experience you can motivate others more effectively". She's right no doubt but it is not necessary so though. Participation is definitely a personal choice. Motivation contributes only 50% to the decision and we don't necessarily must have the personal experience to motivate others. Our understanding and moral support can motivate just as good. But what the heck, if I never try I'll never know right? ... so when is it going to be the right time for me to experience running a race?

Now that I've got a taste of it, I still don't fancy it. Maybe slowly in time but for now, my decision is final ... I do not intend to do something I do not like and one of them is running a race. However, I do find pleasure and excitement by being behind the lenses. I've found my purpose when I join my hubby and friends at the races ... I'm the CAMERAWOMAN! Freezing in time, the joys of triumph when my running friends cross the finish line. Their triumph is my triumph and their joy is contagious!

Law Of Attraction: How Our Inner Ego Can Misjudge A Person

A lady in a faded grey dress and her husband, dressed in a home-spun suit walked in timidly without an appointment into the Harvard University President's outer office. The secretary could tell in a moment that such backwoods, country hicks had no business at Harvard and probably didn't even deserve to be in Harvard.

"We want to see the President" the man said softly. "He'll be busy all day" the secretary snapped. "We'll wait" the lady replied. For hours the secretary ignored them, hoping that the couple would finally become discouraged and go away. They didn't and the secretary grew frustrated and finally decided to disturb the president.

"Maybe if you see them for a few minutes, they'll leave" she said to him. The President, stern faced and with dignity, strutted toward the couple.

The lady told him "We had a son who attended Harvard for one year. He loved Harvard. He was happy here. But about a year ago, he was accidentally killed. My husband and I would like to erect a memorial to him, somewhere on campus". The president wasn't touched. He was shocked. "Madam" he said gruffly, "we can't put up a statue for every person who attended Harvard and died. If we did, this place would look like a cemetery".

"Oh no" the lady explained quickly. ”We don't want to erect a statue. We thought we would like to give a building to Harvard". The president rolled his eyes. He glanced at the gingham dress and homespun suit and then exclaimed, "A building! Do you have any earthly idea how much a building costs? We have over seven and a half million dollars in the physical buildings here at Harvard".

For a moment the lady was silent. The president was pleased. Maybe he could get rid of them now. The lady turned to her husband and said quietly, "Is that all it costs to start a university? Why don't we just start our own?" Her husband nodded. The president's face wilted in confusion and bewilderment.

Mr. and Mrs. Leland Stanford got up and walked away, traveling to Palo Alto, California where they established the University that bears their name, Stanford University as a memorial to a son that Harvard no longer cared about.

Most of the time we judge people by their outer appearance, which can be misleading. And in this impression, we tend to treat people badly by thinking they can do nothing for us. Thus we tend to lose our potential good friends, employees or customers.

Remember ... in our life, we seldom get people with whom we want to share & grow our thought process. But because of our INNER EGO, we miss them forever. It is up to us to decide with whom we are getting associated with in our day to day life.

Small people talk about others;
Average people talk about things;
Great people talk about ideas!

My Bubble: Feeling Under The Weather

I'm feeling very much under the weather since these past few days. I guess it's best to admit that my immune system is in overdrive, trying to ward off all the viruses floating around me. People sneezed, coughed ... even Nick's just recovered from a sore throat and cold. I'm almost succumbing to it right now as I write. Water ... water ... water ... need to drink more water. NO to H1N1!

Why's my immune system weakening? Must be the stress from the excitement of working on my new job. I've lost a few nights' sleep over my work in the office since I started. It's not about the workload and of course, I'm not complaining. I'm very happy actually. How can I not be when everything seems to be turning out the way I've envisioned throughout my career. There's just no easy way to express but again ... "THE LAW OF ATTRACTION WORKS AND I'VE MADE IT HAPPENED FOR ME!"

I'm losing sleep coz I'm happy, isn't that great?! The job position, the office, its management system, the people ... in fact I'd to pinch myself each morning when I report for work. It's just too bad I've spent 9 years focusing on the wrong company. Driving developments in a company that's just not willing to move forward, each time taking 3 steps forward and 2 steps back. Regret not coz I must be doing it right nowadays. Alas the time is NOW ... continued honing plus an undeterred belief in this universal law has paid off ... I'M CONFIDENT MORE IS COMING MY WAY!

The same can happen for you too. Just open your mind to what the Law of Attraction is all about and how it works. Then try to analyse your past to present ... there's nothing to lose, at the very least, you'll learn to pick up PURE JOY & HAPPINESS!

Law Of Attraction: Become The CEO Of Your Reality

Part of getting the Law of Attraction to work for you is understanding that you are the head honcho - the CEO of your personal reality.

This means that you have ultimate control over what you experience in life; and that you also have ultimate responsibility when things don't turn out the way you want them to.

Exciting huh? And scary too.

So as the CEO of your life, how can you ensure that your empire is running smoothly? These tips will help you get the most out of your position, lining up your life to be exactly as you want it to be:

  • Assume the position - This means that you take on the job of CEO with authority. Make a conscious decision to begin running your life (instead of life running you) and mentally take command starting today.

  • Bring in your support team - The Universe is like your executive manager, ready to take care of the details and attend to day to day operations. Make use of that manager by asking regularly and often for what you want, from a cup of coffee to a brand new Ferrari. The more you get in the habit of asking the more the Universe will deliver until to the outside world it seems like you can almost make things appear out of thin air.

  • Set your standards - Every CEO has a set of standards they expect to be upheld. In your personal empire this may include things like ethical and moral standards, financial standards or health standards. Take some time to decide what is and is not acceptable to you and declare that to the Universe.

  • Expect results - A CEO doesn't beg his or her employees to do the work. No way! As a CEO you set your expectations, issue directives, and expect results.

Once you take control of your manifestations (and your life) in this manner you will immediately gain self respect which will command respect from the world around you. This attitude coupled with your knowledge of the fundamentals of manifesting will go a long way toward helping you achieve the life of your dreams.

Happy Manifesting!

My Bubble: Jungle-trekking In The City

I had a great workout this morning. I went jungle-trekking within the city. Surprised huh? A jungle in the city?

Yes, a hill right here in suburbs of the city. Fortunately, there are still several green lungs for many of us cityfolks to enjoy some unwinding during weekends. Bukit Gasing is one of them. This morning a group of us went hiking up this hill. Not a massive hill but still good enough to sweat it out ... DRENCHED!

I was really surprised that my stamina is still bearable despite so many months after my climb up Mount Kinabalu. I guess the almost daily run round Kota Kemuning Lake has made the difference. I'm kinda proud of myself too considering that I could guide others up the trail this morning. YAY!!!

Look at me ... all drenched but still look GOOD, right?

My Bubble: Happy Birthday To Ray!

EAT, EAT, EAT ...

Yesterday was Japanese food and today, Chinese! The worst is the desserts. Yesterday, Cheese Brownies. Today, it was Durian Cheese! My blood sugar's definitely shooting upwards ... sky high!

Anyway, I guess I've got an exemption tonight. It's a special ocassion for Ray. The whole family got together to celebrate his 46th birthday. It won't be yet for another 2 days but it's better earlier that late, a no-no in the Chinese tradition.

Just Laughs: Busy In Heaven

Three men were standing in line to get into heaven one day. Apparently it had been a pretty busy day, though, so St. Peter had to tell the first one, "Heaven's getting pretty close to full today, and I've been asked to admit only people who have had particularly horrible deaths. So what's your story?"

The first man replies: "Well, for a while I've suspected my wife has been cheating on me, so today I came home early to try to catch her red-handed. As I came into my 25th floor apartment, I could tell something was wrong, but all my searching around didn't reveal where this other guy could have been hiding. Finally, I went out to the balcony, and sure enough, there was this man hanging off the railing, 25 floors above ground! By now I was really mad, so I started beating on him and kicking him, but wouldn't you know it, he wouldn't fall off. So finally I went back into my apartment and got a hammer and starting hammering on his fingers. Of course, he couldn't stand that for long, so he let go and fell-but even after 25 stories, he fell into the bushes, stunned but okay. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I ran into the kitchen, grabbed the fridge, and threw it over the edge where it landed on him, killing him instantly. But all the stress and anger got to me, and I had a heart attack and died there on the balchoy."

"That sounds like a pretty bad day to me," said Peter, and let the man in.

The second man comes up and Peter explains to him about heaven being full, and again asks for his story.

"It's been a very strange day. You see, I live on the 26th floor of my apartment building, and every morning I do my exercises out on my balcony. Well, this morning I must have slipped or something, because I fell over the edge. But I got lucky, and caught the railing of the balcony on the floor below me. I knew I couldn't hang on for very long, when suddenly this man burst out onto the balcony. I thought for sure I was saved, when he started beating on me and kicking me. I held on the best I could until he ran into the apartment and grabbed a hammer and started pounding on my hands. Finally I just let go, but again I got lucky and fell into the bushes below, stunned but all right. Just when I was thinking I was going to be okay, this refrigerator comes falling out of the sky and crushes me instantly, and now I'm here."

Once again, Peter had to concede that that sounded like a pretty horrible death.

The third man came to the front of the line, and St. Peter asked for his story.

"Picture this," says the third man, "I'm hiding naked inside a refrigerator..."

My Bubble: I've Survived The Second Day!

Hooray!!! I've survived the 2nd day on the new job!

Good thing, I don't feel intimidated anymore. The stares have somewhat softened and turned friendlier. The handover seemed less mind boggling and most importantly, my self-confidence is back!

It was really a great pick up for me today when I found the opportunity to share alittle about the Law of Attraction with new colleagues. Whether it did good for them or nothing, I'm glad it served me well ... it was a reminder to myself!

"I'VE SURVIVED THIS BEFORE AND I'LL SURVIVE THIS TIME TOO!"

Just came back from dinner at Shogun, a Japanese restaurant in Sunway Pyramid. A group of my ex-colleagues decided to buy me dinner to toast my departure from the organisation. It would be so unjustified to call it a farewell dinner since friends never say farewell. So, to put it correctly, I would say that this dinner is to launch my journey into my latest endeavour aboard a new ship.

To my friends ... JOAN, OOI, KOK, CHRIS, YAP, GILBERT & FAMILY, thanks for the wonderful dinner and most of all, the great company. Too bad, LEONG couldn't make it.

FRIENDS FOREVER ... Stay in touch always!

Law Of Attraction: How To Use The Law Of Attraction In 3 Steps

Most likely, you know exactly what the law of attraction is. You're very well aware that your dominant thoughts become reality, and that the way you feel is the best indicator of what is coming next. However, you are still wondering how to use the law of attraction. In other words, how do you focus your thoughts to create your dream life, and how do you feel good to attract more things that feel good.

Step number 1 - you must talk about what you want and WHY you want it. When you talk about why you want something, you get into the true vibrational essence of what you want, and you can create things with very little essence. Many people hold in their awareness that they want something (usually by complaining that they do not have it yet), and don't really focus on why they want it. If you're wondering how to use the law of attraction, determine why you truly want what you want. Most likely, you want it because it will make you feel incredible, so try to create that feeling.

Step number 2 - be ignorant. Most likely, there are currently circumstances in your life that you may see as unfavorable. For example, you do not have as much money as you want. When you give your attention and focus to the way things currently are, you don't feel good. You feel sad, sorry for yourself, and perhaps even depressed. When you feel this way, the things you want will NEVER come into your experience. NEVER. You must look aside from current reality, and use the power of your mind to think of that which makes you feel good. It takes practice, but it is very possible.

Step number 3 - If you're wondering how to use the law of attraction, this is perhaps the most important thing you can do. You have probably heard this a billion times before, but I guarantee that you don't apply it in your life. You have to believe that what you are asking for is already there. You have it. There is nothing to worry about. You have everything you want, and life is perfect. When you do this, you are letting go of resistance. You are no longer a slave to the feeling of not having what you want. This step alone can create miracles in your life.

These three steps are a great starting point for learning how to use the law of attraction.

My Bubble: First Day On The New Job

T'was my first day on the job today. New faces, new bosses, new colleagues ... Wohhh! My brain's like a sponge!! Absorb ... absorb ... absorb ... trying to remember as many names as possible.

Excitement turned into apprehension if I must admit. A totally new environment, to say very different from my last company is not so but to say it's similar, it's neither. As much as I looked forward to making new friends, I was kinda intimidated not by the new faces but by their stares. If look can kill, I would be dead by mid-day! Anyhow, I SURVIVED DAY ONE!

As it was at the old office, no one knew I was leaving till the very end. It was the same with my predecessor. Curiosity turned into surprise for many when I was introduced as her replacement. An official announcement was subsequently made today.

Tomorrow will be another day to absorb like a sponge. I know I'm in good hands coz my predecessor is such an organised person that I'm so embarassed for the lack of it myself. She seemed to have left no stone unturned to make sure I would have a smooth continuance from where she left off. I still can't figure out how I'll fit in yet in the organisation but I truly hope I'll be independent enough when I go solo on Monday.

Before that, let me survive DAY TWO!

Law Of Attraction: Live In The Joy Of The Moment

Many people will go through their everyday lives feeling as though they are not experiencing life at its fullest or wanting to change their experiences. But, they are missing out on one of the great secrets to living the life that you really want to live and that is to enjoy and appreciate the life that you have and the moments right now.

The law of attraction works based on the feelings and the thoughts that you continually have in your life. If you habitually think of all of the things that you do not want in your life, then that is what you are going to experience more of in your life. And if you want to have more happiness and more success, then you have to reflect upon the things that you already have to feel happy and joy for in your life.

THE PITY PARTY IS DEPRESSING!

Many people quickly join the pity party and complain about all of the things that they do not like. They ignore what they have that is good in their life. There are always that you can appreciate no matter what your situation is. If you have a good friend or good health, then that is something to appreciate. The law of attraction will only work in the direction that you are heading in. If you want good things, then start to feel good right now.

Make the law of attraction work for you by deciding what you want to have to feel joy and start feeling that way right now! You can attract the life that you truly desire.
