Oscar Wilde said “ We are each our own devil, and we make this world our hell.” How true and our head's the devil's playground. I totally believe I'm happy but why am I losing sleep over nothing? Funny huh? Well, I did a psycho-analysis on myself ... hahaha!!!
Let this quack share her opinion. Actually, I don't see any negative reasons for losing sleep but the high probability is due to the excitement I'm experiencing at my new workplace. There's just so many stuffs happening that put me on my toes. Noooooo ... I'm not complaining! It's more like the anticipated involvement to partake in stuffs on the next level that were snuffed out in my previous employment. They called it "cold-storaged."
No wonder, I've been affected by sinus infections, joint pains and high blood-sugar. Of course, I've overcome these setback ... they are just temporary disturbances and I'm still feeling great about everything. How come, you might want to ask.
That's because I'm following the principles of the Law of Attraction correctly. Let me share with you, my friends, followers and readers, a little tip to creating a more positive way of life. Allow the Law of Attraction to work for you;
- Frame your thoughts the way you would create positive affirmations, by focusing on what you do want rather than what frustrates you. See mine every Mondays.
- Keep a gratitude journal, where you record the things for which you are grateful. This practice helps you develop an attitude of gratitude, which creates a space for more abundance. See mine every Sunday.
- If you’re not sure how your thoughts affect your life, you can assess your thought patterns with a optimism quiz. Find out if you're a optimist or a pessimist.
- Accept What Is. Rather than spending every day focused on what you don’t like about your life and wishing things were different, try to come to terms with the bad as well as the good. This doesn’t mean that you don’t make positive changes in your life; it just means you don’t focus on your frustrations everyday. You make peace with what is, while making progress toward what you’d like to have.
I ignored my wife's not-so-subtle hints about completing certain jobs around the house, but I didn't realize how much this bothered her until the clothes dryer refused to work, the iron shorted and the sewing machine motor burned out in the middle of a seam. The final straw came when she plugged in the vacuum cleaner and nothing happened.
She looked so stricken that I had to offer some consolation.
"That's okay, honey," I said. "You still have me."
She looked up at me with tears in her eyes. "Yes," she wailed, "but you don't work either!"

Another star has been added onto my 'Stairway To Heaven' ... 46 stars altogether now. It will continue to increase ... hopefully to a 100 ... who knows, hahaha!!! Anyway, my memory will fail me every now and then, that's without denying ... our mortal bodies are just not made to last. You can prolong its state of deterioration but you can never prevent it, right? So let's do what we need to do to keep it working fine to our ripe old age.
Meanwhile, to counter my memory loss every now and then, I've decided to add a weekly appreciation list to my blog to help me NOT TO FORGET. So here goes my list for the week:-
- I've made new online friends! Great guys, MKL and Shingo T.
- I've got back my positive outlook again!
- I've reactivated and reinvented myself at work. I LOVE IT!
- I've conquered 99% of the battlefield with sinus infection!
- I've lost 1kg in weight!
- It's my birthday ... I've got 46 stars already from THE GREAT TEACHER OF LIFE!

When you are appreciating you are basically being grateful for what you have, in other words by being appreciative you are being grateful for the things in your life which allow you to feel good. In order to attract the things you want you need to feel good so this means that appreciating is a very important key to getting what you want into your life.
So how do you appreciate more. Well that is really simple, the thing most people find challenging is to actually maintain the state of appreciation. So let's begin getting you to appreciate more.
Get a writing pad and think now of 6 things you are grateful for or really appreciate in your life right now. Examples of some things are listed below:-
In fact the ones above are just a few but you could probably think of many things to appreciate, the birds, the trees, the flowers, the blue oceans, the holidays you experience. When you have a list of at least 6 things to appreciate you can then write them down and state the reasons why you appreciate the things that you have written on your list. An example of some are below:
- I appreciate the people in my life, for their friendship, wisdom and love.
- I appreciate the car I drive that gets me to work safely and comfortably, and makes my life so much easier.
- I appreciate the money in my life that allows me to do some of the things I enjoy to do.
Continue like this with your list of 6, once you have done this read the list and begin to get into the feeling place of feeling appreciation. Carry this exercise out for a few minutes until you really experience the feeling. Once you have this feeling get on with your day.
Carry this exercise out 3 times a day and each day add to your list of things to appreciate.
After a few weeks of doing this you will experience a dominant feeling of appreciation and gratefulness for so much in your life that you will then begin to attract more and more things in your life to appreciate which will include the things that you want to attract.
This is one of the best and easiest ways to get the law of attraction and money working and flowing into your life.

5000!!! Surprise, surprise! My visitor counter's showing a 5 tailed with 3 zeroes! Smacked right on the dot, what a great timing!
When I first started out blogging in October 2008, I had so much doubt whether anyone would be interested to read my entries, what more to follow my blog. I had also pinned my hope on making some real income through my blog.
Alas, time has changed everything! Money-making is of no priority anymore and I've learnt that writing entries from the heart is all that matters to touch another's.
As I blogged more and more each day, old ideas become replaced with new ideas. But one thing will never changed ... The Law Of Attraction! It's a principle I believe in passionately and this is my personal platform to share my experiences with anyone who's willing to listen, anyone who's looking for change, an avenue, the inspiration or the motivation.
For me, it is also "MY PERSONAL SPACE" where I make new friends everyday, unknown faces who somehow turned into beautiful faces in my heart, supporting each other through our life's fumble and tumble.
To all my friends, followers and readers, this is for You!
The bouncer, a very attractive guy, explains to them how it works. "We have 5 floors. Go up floor by floor, and once you find what you are looking for, you can stay there. It's easy to decide since each floor has a sign telling you what's inside."
So they start going up and on the first floor the sign reads: "All the men on this floor are short and plain." The friends laugh and without hesitation move on to the next floor.
The sign on the second floor reads: "All the men here are short and handsome." Still, this isn't good enough, so the friends continue on up.
They reach the third floor and the sign reads: "All the men here are tall and plain."
They still want to do better, and so, knowing there are still two floors left, they continued on up.
On the fourth floor, the sign is perfect: "All the men here are tall and handsome." The women get all excited and are going in when they realize that there is still one floor left. Wondering what they are missing, they head on up to the fifth floor.
There they find a sign that reads: "There are no men here. This floor was built only to prove that there is no way to please a woman."

After a month long of observing the daily fast, abstaining from basic needs and urges during Ramadhan, the Muslims started their exodus back to their respective hometowns to celebrate the first day of Syawal yesterday. It is a joyous occasion for Muslims, as it signifies a personal triumph, a victory of self-restraint and abstinence, symbolising purification and renewal.
The non-Muslims, on the other hand will enjoy a long weekend and many joined in the exodus to visit family and friends or taking a well-deserving break.
To all the Muslim world over, A HAPPY "SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDIL-FITRI!"

I was just telling a colleague of mine yesterday morning, how much I had been like her when I was her age and how I've mellowed tremendously as I grew older. Yeah, the dinosour speaks! My new colleague, Ellis is a very sweet young lady, soft-spoken but I can see through her soft demure, she can spit fire if you pressed the wrong buttons! So one thing's for sure, don't ever take this young lady for granted.
By evening, I was accepting a challenge from MKL of My Kafkaesque Life. He's an interesting new friend from the blogosphere and had just posted his Murtaugh List. Duh? What the heck's a Murtaugh List? Like me, you'll get the big picture when you check it out at Kicking At The Darkness. Simply put in my own words, it's a "Please Grow Up!" list.
With each birthday that passes, we outgrew many things we did when we were younger and cultivated new stuffs that matches our age or the fad of the moment. Sometimes, we may even jump the gun and do stuffs that are beyond our years. I'm sure doing a Murtaugh List never cross any of our minds but it was pure pleasure knocking on the thinking cap plus kicking my ass to realise that I'm too old for all these ...
... to be shy and conscious, I look good!
... to leave home without my mascara and lipstick, arghhh!
... to face the sun without my sunblock
... to read Barbara Cartland's romance novels
... to drive without my glasses, vanity!
... to wear luminous coloured earings, yucks!
... to wear any mini-skirts, with exception of denim
... to wear T's with Disney characters
... to watch Sesame Street, bye-bye Big Bird!
... to be skipping around, don't think my knees can take it anyway!
... to go on the merry-go-round, it's dizzying!
... for someone to hold my hand when crossing a street
... to wear unwired bra, need as much support possible
... to wear unpadded bra, yikes it's shrinking!
... to be oogling over hunky celebrities like Ricky Martin
... to be fantasising about John Travolta
... to play pranks on family and friends
... to suck on lollipops
... to gorge on food, oooooo ... glorious food!
... to be fat, need more exercise and watch the diet!
... to laze a whole day on the bed
... to argue with anyone, I don't need the stress
... to splurge heedlessly when shopping, need to save for old age
... to waste time being a 'worry-wart'
... to throw tantrums at anyone
... to sulk and cry myself to sleep, so silly!
... to keep a grudge, it's childish!
... to have the last say all the time, don't need to win an argument
... to bother about what other's think about me
... to live with regrets, doesn't change a thing
I know of some friends who never outgrew the immature stuffs they do in their life and some claimed it's healthy to keep those kiddy antics. However, I must beg to differ. Growing old is an inevitable process of life. We can't run from it and we certainly don't need to maintain those childishness to stay young. We just need to face it with a mature outlook, maintain a healthy lifestyle and not forgetting to stay young at heart!
I’m almost turning 46 ... less than a week's time just for info. As I grew older, I know I've grown wiser and I'm endlessly appreciative of God's gift of life. Just attended Sunset Mass at church today. Been weeks of 'ponteng' ... truancy!
So what are you too old for? Take a break from whatever you're doing and see what you can come out with. Enjoy yourself while you're at it coz I certainly did.

I like to make friends. I'm always looking forward to making new friends. But making new friends is never easy. For me, undoubtedly. That's why for any friends I've made, I will be so eternally grateful.
I have made many friends in my life ... from the school days, former colleagues, new colleagues, business associates turned friends or even friends' friends. These days, I've also made many in the blogosphere. Sadly, friends come and they go ... sometimes without a word. Some left, waving 'sayonara' to be unheard from ever again. Ocassionally, I get to bump into old friends who has however turned into strangers.
But the hardest is when friends, 'Close Friends' or 'Special Friends', leave me behind when they have newfound friends or newfound interests. Twice harder, when they turned into strangers ... we're no more in the same loop.
Perhaps I have my shortcomings but when the inclusion becomes lesser, the sense of rejection becomes stronger ... the sense of belonging disappears!
WHAT'S THIS MUMBO-JUMBO?!!! GET RID OF THE WHINING, WOMAN!
“SELF-PITY is our worst enemy and if we yield to it, we can never do anything wise in this world.”
- Decide every morning that you're in a good mood. Since the day hasn't started yet, nothing has happened to bring you down. Reserve judgment on things you anticipate will be unpleasant or difficult until they've actually happened. It may not turn out as bad as you think, and your positive attitude may just prevent it from happening.
- Learn from your mistakes but leave them behind you. Even failure is no excuse to choose misery. We learn the most from our worst mistakes. After you've had some distance from painful experiences, think about what went wrong and what you know for next time.
- Choose to have a positive attitude even in the face of difficulties. Look for hope in your life. A venture not yet realized or an experience not yet undertaken, but planned, is a reason to be happy. Opportunities are always just around the corner.
- Be grateful for the good things you have. Just as life can't always go your way, it can't always go against you either. Include not just the good people in your life and your accomplishments but also your positive qualities and what you have to give to the world.
- Have faith in what life brings. Life has a strange way of giving gifts when we least expect it. Be open to receiving success, happiness and joy. Let yourself enjoy the positive experiences of your life without hesitation.

I definitely believe in making things happen for myself. What I intend, I'll work for it. Hard and smart. Even if I need to change ... but not if it's for the worse of course!
That's why I dare declare, "I'M A GO-GETTER!"
People like me refuses to tolerate people who wait for things to happen. I can motivate, I can advise, I can lead, I can pick up after them ... but for how long? People! Stand-up please, own-up and take charge ... if you dare start something, dare to brave the change that challenge you. Ultimately, be prepared to change. Else, it's doomed from the start!
The evangelist said. "For those of you who are sick, I want to pray with you so that you can be cured of your sickness. Place your right hand on the part of your body that is suffering from disorder, and raise your left hand."
The husband placed his right hand on his privates, raised his left hand, and closed his eyes.
His wife saw what he did, and slowly whispered, "Honey, this prayer is to heal the sick, not to raise the dead!"

Malaysians! They fight over parking spaces all the time! From the roadside car-parks to the complexes and right to our own doorstep.
Neighbourliness ... well sometimes we just throw them out the window. If we've got great conscientious ones, we're lucky. But sometimes, it is not by choice, we end up with pathetically SELFISH ones as neighbours and we have to put up with them for years to come! I don't know about the housing laws elsewhere, but here it's standard for everyone ... buy a house, the land area is specified and layout indicated in the Sales & Purchase. That's what's yours and mine! Anything beyond our fence is public property. Why don't they get this!
Sadly, I've got a selfish neighbour. He just detests anyone who parks outside his house, even if no one blocks his gate. Recently one of my visitors was asked to remove her small Perodua Kancil. Poor girl, she had a tough time looking for parking after that. Worst, he wasn't even parking at all since he had parked both his cars within his compound. Mean fella! Whenever he does park his car outside, he parks right onto the edge that demarcates our two homes. Whenever he does that, we'll have difficulty manoeuvering our car in or out of the porch. His parking skill is fantastic! I've also heard from another neighbour that he once punctured somebody else's car just because he parks near his plants outside his fence. Reason, the car might damaged his plants. Geezzzzzz!!! What mentality!
Yesterday night, one of his regular visitors parked right in front of my house taking up Nick's usual parking. For his visitors, it's okay to park anywhere, huh? That's where my mean streak came about. I wanted to reverse my car to block off his visitor's car and if he's not gone by the time Nick's back, I intended for Nick to just park alongside the car. This will totally block the visitor from leaving. Well, Ray ticked me off! Hahaha!!!
It was just a thought! A NASTY THOUGHT, that's all. Not that I'll really do it. It would have felt good though but served no purpose except create further tension between neighbours.

The first guy said, 'My son is my pride and joy. He started working at a successful company at the bottom of the barrel. He studied Economics and Business administration and soon began to climb the corporate ladder and now he's the President of the company. He became so rich that he gave his best friend a top of the line Mercedes for his birthday.'
The second guy said, 'Darn, that's terrific! My son is also my pride and joy. He started working for a big airline, and then went to flight school to become a pilot. Eventually he became a partner in the company, where he owns the majority of its assets. He's so rich that he gave his best friend a brand new jet for his birthday!'
The third man said: 'Well, that's terrific! My son> studied in the best universities and became an engineer. Then he started his own construction company and is now a multimillionaire. He also gave away something very nice and expensive to his best friend for his birthday: A 30,000 square foot mansion.'
The three friends congratulated each other just as the fourth returned from the restroom and asked: 'What are all the congratulations for?'
One of the three said: 'We were talking about the pride we feel for the successes of our sons. What about your son?'
The fourth man replied: 'My son is gay and makes a living dancing as a stripper at a nightclub.'
The three friends said: 'What a shame. What a disappointment.'
The fourth man replied: 'No, I'm not ashamed. He's my son and I love him. And he hasn't done too bad either. His birthday was two weeks ago, and he received a beautiful 30,000 square foot mansion, a brand new jet and a top of the line Mercedes from his three boyfriends.'

Of late, my mind has been a jumbled-mix of worry, disappointment, frustration and distrust. I've become judgemental too. I seemed to be reluctantly drawn into negative self-talks inside my head. Why? Why have I allowed myself to stray onto this path, knowing pretty well that this is a direction that I'm never ever suppose to take. Why?
Everything had been fine ... all things were unfolding in the right way for me, even now. So why am I doing this to me? My self-sobatage is rocking the boat and there's just no rational explanation for this!
Help me ... help me seek clarity again! I need positive energies!!
