Law Of Attraction: Where Does Faith Fit In?

You do not have to be religious to believe in other Laws of the Universe do you? You can choose to ponder who set up these Laws of the Universe, but this is not necessary.

There are similar beliefs between religion and the Law of Attraction. The greatest similarity is prayer. You ask God for something and he or she will grant it. The Law of Attraction states you should ask the Universe for what you want and it is brought to you. The process is slightly different but the results are essentially the same. The other similarity is the concept of belief or faith. In religious practice you acknowledge that God exists and that you must have faith. In the Law of Attraction, you believe that the Universe will provide for you. The greatest difference is that you do not have to go through an intermediary such as a priest, minister or rabbi. You can ask directly.

You do have to have faith that you will receive what you ask. It is a faith that a natural law is at work. You must believe in the process. You are the director of the process. It is not different than planting a seed in the ground. You have faith that if you provide sunshine, water and the right nutrients that a plant or flower will grow. You don't have to be religious to believe that it will happen. It is just a biological law of nature. Seeds will grow into a plant when the right components are present. A religious person may wonder how God created such a beautiful flower and see it as proof that God exists. However, the lack of this belief will not prevent that flower from growing.

Atheists may not believe in God because there is no tangible proof. They need to be able to observe things in order to accept that they exist. They believe there is a Sun and Moon because they can see them. They may believe in gravity because they have tripped and fallen as a child.

Here is a secret revealed - there is proof of the Law of Attraction. You can record it by getting a notebook and paper. As you go through your day, write down when you see progress toward your goal. No matter how small the progress is, write it down. It becomes your written proof of the existence of the Law of Attraction. When you achieve your goal, you can look back through your notebook. You will be able to see that Law of Attraction at work and how it brought you and your desire together. It will be all the proof you should need. It will increase your belief in the process and your future goals will come to you even quicker and easier.

The Law of Attraction does not require that you sign up for any organization. It does not require that you join a church or believe in a certain deity. It does not include a concept of sin or repentance. It does include within its concepts the idea of self creation and responsibility. Since you are the creator of your reality, you are totally responsible for how it turns out and what you do along the way.

The idea of sin is that if you do something bad or negative, then something bad will happen to you. The Law of Attraction is similar in that negative things attract negative things, good things attract the same. The more positive your life is, the more positive things you will bring into your life.

The other thing about the Law of Attraction is that it does not require you give up anything or make sacrifices to appease it. It works regardless of who you are and what you believe. It does not judge you nor does it judge what your desires are. It will serve you what you ask for, no questions asked.

The Law of Attraction neither needs religion nor is it against religion. It works well with most world philosophies and religions and does not contain anything that would offend anyone. There are those that would say that being the creator of your own universe excludes God. Creating your own reality does not mean that you, as a physical extension of non-physical energy created the stars, the moon or mountains. It means that you create how you interface with the Universe. If you choose to be positive, then you can create a shining life filled with brightness and abundance.

My Bubble: No Normalcy At All!

Things have not been normal, not at all ... not since my dream 'RETIREMENT' in February. I believe I did managed to put in 2 weeks of pure enjoyment just before the Chinese New Year. I was also about to complement a couple of friends' business using my free time before unplanned incidents led one thing to other.

It started with the joyous occasion of selling my home. An excitement rather, until Nick got himself stucked without his own transport when he trashed his car. Luckily he wasn't hurt. The 3 of us were left to juggle between 2 cars and then only 1 when hubby sold his car. We waited like a month for his new car to be delivered and 6 weeks for Nick's car to be repaired. This threw us into quite a fair bit of inconveniences. Then the surprise addition to our family, Bowie. It kinda took alittle getting use to a dog in the home again in the first 2-3 weeks. Oh yes, let's not forget the draggy and frustrating search for a temporary home to rent.

Ahhh ... I thought my quest for normalcy was soon beginning to pick up again when Nick trashed his car a second time last Saturday, just a few hours before we were having a small do at home to celebrate his birthday. Now, we're back to 2 cars again ... until when? I've no idea!

I don't forsee any normalcy to my daily routine, not at all until end of June ... at least until we've fully settled into our rented abode and when Nick's car's fully repaired. Right this moment, I still kinda cracking my mind how to pack and move my home ... hhhelpppppp!!!

Where's the calm, peaceful life of an early retiree? So far it's not according to my perspective ... it seems rather elusive!

Happy Birthday To My Son, NICK!

I'd always referred to Nick as 'not a boy but not yet a man' since his 18th birthday. Time really flies and another year slips by. 23rd May ... Nick celebrates his 19th birthday today!  Still very much a teenager at heart while adulthood beckons around the corner.

To my darling son, it's time to grow up alittle and pursue alittle harder your aspiration for your future.

Sorry Nick, Daddy forgot to count the candles!!!

Happy Birthday & Make A Wish!!!

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

There's nothing more fulfilling than to celebrate a birthday in the family. In mine, we celebrate 3 important ones each year ... dearest Nick in May, then dear old hubby's in August and lastly mine in September.

I am so grateful that we are celebrating Nick's 19th Birthday today. He had invited a few of his closest friends over to share the fun. I feel so blessed and I certainly look forward to another year of developing maturity from a boy who's becoming a man.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY NICK! MUM & DAD LOVES YOU VERY MUCH!!

Simultaneously, hubby also held a 'drink and gamble' session this evening with some of our closer friends. Most people would have a housewarming gathering for moving into a new abode but for Ray, it's completely the opposite! He's celebrating our departure from our home of 10 years ... I guess it's just his way of being thankful for a 'home sweet home' where we've had so many happy moments, opportunities, positive developments and successes.

IT'S SUCH A WONDERFUL DAY TODAY!!!

My Bubble: Online Tutoring Vs Old-School Tuition Centre

I was just having an interesting debate with Nick just awhile ago … attending tuition class the old-school style or via online tutoring. I was more inclined towards the old-school tuition centers but of course, this echo boomer from the Millennial Generation begged to differ.

Born into a period when the world was becoming borderless through ICT, he is very sure of himself when it comes to internet-related issues. What’s more, he’s already partially doing his studies and assignments online nowadays with his college.

To prove his point, he showed me an online tutoring site, TutorNext that offers one-on-one supplemental education for K-12 and college students. Students connect to a tutor as often as they may need to learn and seek assistance. Qualified tutors are available around the clock 24/7 and this service is available to all interested across the globe. On further examining, their service does look convenient and affordable, possibly the cheapest rate so far.

Nick had always love algebra but yet weak in its application at the same time. He then showed me how he had obtained detailed step by step explanations to solve his Algebra 1 problems. He even showed me his latest developments on Algebra 2, from equations to functions, sequences and series, relations and functions and factorization.

Ouch! I hate to be proven wrong but I was tongue-tied by his vast improvement as well as how fun and easy it was for him to just show me around the Algebra 1 Help and Algebra 2 Help sites.

Well, what more could I say? He has certainly found a very effective way to improve his weaknesses on algebra.  I was more than impressed and rest my case. So to you, parents out there, you may want to take an Algebra 1 or Algebra 2 or maybe both 'free demo sessions' and experience the benefits yourselves. It may just turn out to be the perfect solution you’ve been looking for. Good luck!

Law Of Attraction: A Spiritual Journey With LOA

I understand my current life clearly as a culmination of all my thoughts, feelings and actions I’ve had to date. Practicing the Law of Attraction is not a new concept for me. I was first introduced to God’s natural law all my life by the Bible and later reinforced by authors like Napoleon Hill, Wayne Dyer and Neal Donald Walsh. Simply put, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Whatever you focus most of your attention on in life is exactly what is manifested in your outward experience.

We are spiritual beings having physical experiences. It took me a while to understand that every thought, negative or positive, is a creation, a prayer to the Universe (God). Depending on the degree of focus we give these thoughts, certain things become beliefs, which either manifest positive things or severely limit our lives.

I am made in the “Image and likeness of God,” a perfect manifestation of Him. God’s entire plan for me is one of complete and total “Well Being.” When Well Being is being manifested in my life, I feel really good. When I am blocking my “Well Being,” life becomes, sad, depressing and very difficult. Both of these contrasting experiences are as a result of what I think and especially what I’ve come to feel and believe. As a spiritual being, I am constantly seeking my connection with Well Being by daily prayer and conversation with God, declaring what I desire from the Universe and checking in constantly with my feelings and emotions.

I have learned to create my life. We are in complete control of all our outward experiences. Whatever I desire from God and His Universe, I first of all have to declare it according to His natural law. We are all great at declaring, because our entire life experiences, including the ones we are having today, started as a conscious or subconscious thought. The next step that happens is that God not only acknowledges my intentions, they are all answered without exception. The next step is where it becomes tricky and where most of us have problems manifesting. This step is another natural law called The Law of Allowing.

We are all ‘vibrational’ beings, meaning that through our thoughts and actions, we are always communicating our needs to the Source from which everything flows (God). However, in order to experience our desires that God has already provided for us, we must ‘allow’ it to become a part of our physical experience. To do so, we must be in harmony with those desires. We must spend as much time as possible feeling exactly how we would if we were experiencing those desires in the here and now. The Universe will then begin to match those good feelings and send to us the people, places and things we need to manifest those experiences in our outward life.

Subsequently, as things begin to line up and we become inspired, we must take action and act on those inspirations immediately. We must not find ways and reasons to disallow our dreams. We must commit to making our desires manifest into our physical experiences as God provides them. Do not let apprehension and anxiety hold you back, God will continue to provide the way and all that you will need. Concentrate at all times on the positive end result, not the conditions that you don’t want. Energy will flow where your attention goes and the Law of Attraction will grant exactly that which you focus on and that includes the negatives. Always remain with and feel positive about the end result of what you desire in life as often as you can.

It is also very important to be grateful in life. The more we are grateful for on a daily basis, the more abundance God will supply us. Wake up every morning and before getting out of bed, give thanks with corresponding feeling for what you have. Be genuine about it. There are many things that I am grateful for…I love my life! Being grateful and happy is an inside job and no one else’s. To be happy is to be connected with God, because Well Being is your birthright. According to the author of “Conversations with God,” Neal Donald Walsh, “SATAN is Seeing Any Thing As Negative.” Therefore, make happiness your #1 priority and you will always be on the receiving end of positive God Energy.

My Bubble: A New Hairdo!

I've been trying to sent Bowie to this groomer in my neighborhood for the past one week but unfortunately without success. They were fully booked until today.

Voila! I've finally managed to get Bowie a new look ... a new hairdo! Sent him just before noon and only got him back just now around 7pm. Am I happy with his new hairdo? Not exactly what I had in mind but at least it will be less of hassle to groom him every morning from now onwards. It'll grow back soon anyway. Check out the difference!

I'm thinking of changing his name to "BOTAK"
which literally means 'baldie' ... kakaka!!!

Though he's not half as cute and cuddly as before, the new hairdo will be more comfortable for him with our prevailing hot and humid weather. He won't drool so much due to the heat. Yay! there'll be less hair flying around the house for now ... arghhh! that really stressed me up!

Just Laughs: A Great Retirement Present

The neighborhood postman was retiring after 25 years. On his last day of delivering mail, all of the people on his route left him something in the mail box in honor of his retirement. Some left money, some left small gifts, and some met him at the door and invited him in for a meal. This went on all through the neighborhood. As he proceeded through his route, the gifts got better and better. One house even gave him a gold watch!

He was so satisfied, but the last house paled in comparison. As he was putting the mail in the mailbox, the door opened, and the woman of the house stood there in beautiful lingerie. She invited him inside. He knew that this woman's husband was a truck driver and was away, so he went inside. She proceeded to give him the day and night of his life.

The next morning he woke up to find she was bringing him breakfast in bed. He found a dollar bill under his plate as he ate and asked her about it. She explained, "When I called my husband to tell ask him what we should give you for your retirement, he said, 'screw him, give him a dollar.' Breakfast was my idea."

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

Another week's about to end, another random list of gratitude to share;

1. I've finally found my temporary abode ... one that the whole family accepts in unison.

2. The flexible mobility in our home is finally over ... we don't need to juggle transport between the 3 of us any further.

3. Brought Bowie to the vet ... he was given a clean bill of health and now we know he's only 2 years plus.

Being grateful for even the simplest thing in our daily life makes a lot of difference on our outlook. Spare a minute, you'll find one.

Law Of Attraction: The Karma Equation ...

The law of attraction has been around for centuries, however, only recently has it come into the eye of the world through the book and DVD 'The Secret'. Once known only by successful business men and women of our time, and times before us, the law of attraction has become a wide-spread phenomenon, allowing just about anyone to benefit from the vast powers of the universe.

The secret law of attraction works by you believing in something so strongly that it manifests itself into reality. If this sounds like something from the X-Files, just hear me out.

The teachings of the law tell us that no matter what, the universe is with us and for us, waiting to be used to our advantage. To truly harness the power using the law, we cannot focus on what we don't have or what we need, instead, we need to believe that we will have more in the future. We will have more happiness, more money, more love, and more children. What ever your true desire is in life, you must focus on believing it will come true.

If you focus hard enough, and truly believe according to the law, you will see a change, and you will experience the true joy of the law of attraction working in your life.

Karma fits into this equation because we reap what we sow. What we send out to the world, thoughts of happiness, or thoughts of hatred can come back to us. Karma is basically a manifestation of our anger, greed, unhappiness, or misery. If we create these things, they come back to us.

The law of attraction owes a lot to the Hindu concept of karma and dharma. Karma implies a cause and effect. Each of us is different and hence, contributes differently to our lives. But we ourselves reap the results of our conducts. Good conduct breeds good results. Dharma is relevant to the law of attraction as dharma means purpose in life. Each of us has a purpose in life. The law of attraction speaks to identifying the aim of ones life through self discovery. Hinduism supposes this end to be universal welfare, an extension of the law of attraction.

Ancient Hindu doctrines preached the idea that a persons place in the world is dependent upon his thought and practices. Ancient Hindu philosophies suppose that a persons course of life is determined by his conducts in the previous birth. This implies that if someone had contributed significantly to universal goodness in his past life, they are likely to follow the same path in his next life.

Positive thinking, which is an oft quoted phrase in the law of attraction, also finds its place in Hinduism. One, who is optimist in his attitude towards life, strives for a positive end, whereby he will find happiness. This happiness, according to Hinduism, does not mean wealth or power, but a sense of satisfaction and a feeling of completeness.

Both Hinduism and the law of attraction posit the concept of spiritual unity. Spiritual unity points to mental integrity. The mind should be absolutely clear of its mission and this should correspond in the actions. The mind, according to both Hinduism and the law of attraction, should be able to withstand all external disturbances and remain focused on what it wants to achieve. The means or the ways to attain the end may change in the course of action, but not the end.

Hinduism defines the end as something abstract. It is the success of ones will, fortitude, and perseverance. It does not refer to monetary success, or a gain of power. The success is a state of mind, a sense of fulfillment, a sense of satisfaction. This is what is referred to as abundance, by the law of attraction.

My Bubble: It's A Funny Habit!

6861 => 6 + 8 + 6 + 1 = 21 => 2 + 1 = 3
1368 => 1 + 3 + 6 + 8 = 18 => 1 + 8 = 9
5379 => 5 + 3 + 7 + 9 = 24 => 2 + 4 = 6
7297 => 7 + 2 + 9 + 7 = 25 => 2 + 5 = 7

I have a very odd habit. Everytime any vehicle were to pass me on the roads or highways where its registration plate somehow attracts my attention, I'll do a maths ... I'll add the digits on the plate right up to a single digit.

I guess it's a great way to improve my arithmatic but I'm seeing red at myself for doing it so rampantly every day ... does not matter I'm driving or I'm a passenger. I think I've developed an obsessive-compulsive personality disorder.  Hush, please don't tell on me!

This calculation method actually started more than 5 years ago when I took an interest in human aura reading and healing crystals. The young master had advised that the numbers 3, 6, 8 and 9 are good numbers that will bring luck and wealth. So car registration plates that totalled to any of these numbers would be of tremendous advantage, apart from having at least one or more of the digit '8' forming the registration plate which is most sought after among the Chinese.

Do you have an odd or unusual habits of your own?

My Bubble: Q&A Tagged!

Last week was a very frustrating week ... the never-ending search for a temporary abode and the inconsistent bandwidth of my broadband. Normally, I'll turn to my blog and my blogroll for some destressing, peace and comfort. Else, I'll probably turn into a couch-potato, doing practically nothing at all. Then I'll be lazy ... lazier or worst, a bum.

Anyway, I had a surprise when I was catching up on RicAdeMus' blog, Waiting For Wisdom. Ha! Rick has tagged me for a Q&A game. Aiyo yo! I've got to crack my partially-retired brain to find the answers. Like I've mentioned to Rick, I'd probably be giving the same answers as his. Please don't mind me if you think any of my answers are nonsensical.

1) A vampire or a wizard (and why)???

Naturally a wizard! I'll have magical power, so don't play play with me, you won't like me when I'm angry ... kekeke! I don't fancy being a a vampire ... I can't see the light of day. Moreover, I'm claustrophobic ... so I cannot sleep in a coffin.

2) If you could change one thing about you, what would it be - if anything???

OMG, there's just so many things to change ... which one first? Ahhh, my nose ... it's too FLAT!!! I can see across to my other eye!

3) Would you rather live like a rock star or like a president? (in other words: fun or power?)

Both lives are appealing, especially since they come with loads of $$$ ... fame and fortune but in reality, I don't fancy ... too stressful and worrisome.

4) What's your favorite cartoon character???

Favorite cartoon character? When was the last I watch a cartoon show? Nope, not a kid at heart ... NO FAVORITES.

5) What's your (most) guilty pleasure?

I guess I must say 'clubbing'. It's a waste of money and detrimental to health, I know! But but but I enjoy it coz that's when I'll let loose and be free!

6) If you were a song, what would it be??? Travie McCoy's 'Billionaire'

7) What's your biggest dream?

To enjoy and appreciate the beautiful and happy extended family that Nick will be building sometime soon.

8) Do you prefer to be the one who asks questions or the one who answers them, and why???

There shouldn't be any preference here. I don't have any. Communication goes both ways becoz before one can ask, one must listen first.

9) What is your biggest turn off and turn on???

People who takes others for granted and lack integrity are a big turn-off
Genuinely friendly and caring people with great sense of humor are a big turn-on.

10) Have you ever broken any law?

I know I'm no angel, especially behind the wheel ... the devil in me suddenly took over! I've been pulled over twice for using the handphone while driving. I had been summoned (lost count) for driving exceeding the speed-limits. I had been summoned for running the red light too.

Thank goodness, the end of the questionaires. Phewww!!! I hope it makes sense to you, my friends. And to continue with this tagging, I'd like to pass it along to Amelia, Alice, Sonaksha, Daphne, Shemah, Ai Shiang, Bananaz, Angel and Clarisse

My Bubble: Outsmart!

Dear Friends, look at this cute little doggie. What do you think lies behind that adorable exterior? That innocent look.

On Sunday evening as I was leaving home to catch Ironman 2 with dear hubby and Nick, I realised that I had not cooked rice for Bowie's dinner. He prefers rice to dog biscuits. Without a second thought, I just gave him the biscuits for dinner. It'll have to do or else, he'll be having dinner after 10pm. So far when he's truly hungry, he'll still clean-up the servings of biscuits. But this time, unexpectedly he did not touch the biscuits at all and it remained until noon yesterday. The whole morning he had seem so lethargic and refused the biscuits and water despite my coaxing. He was just not his usual self and was exceptionally stubborn. I could even hear his stomach growl several times and yet he still refused to eat.

By noon, he was beginning to get to me ... could he be sick or something? I was getting abit worried and so I decided to just serve him some rice to see his reaction. This is the first I've served him lunch. When the rice was finally ready, whiffs of the delicious pork complementing the rice drove him down the stairs in a jiffy. The bell worn round his neck was chinking continuously as he rush down the stairs. I could see his excitement over the meal as he finished it within seconds.

That's definitely a healthy dog with a voracious appetite! My my my, there's nothing wrong with him. He had me fooled!!!

Imagine a grown woman, yours truly ... got outsmart by this dog named Bowie!!!

My Bubble: I've Found One Finally!

Weeks of searching for a temporary place to called HOME is finally over ... at least for now. This time I'm more confident because the owners have given their greenlight.

Hubby said, "Why get frustrated? You shouldn't be unless you're too hard-up for the place. Not ok, we look somemore!"

Well, that's what he says when the search's over. Actually, I'm not hard-up for the place. I just want to end the search! Each time, I thought the search's over, I've got to start all over again. All the wasted trips running around to view the houses, calls made to the agents ... it's just too time consuming. It's not FUN either, unlike looking to buy your own home, that's different!

I certainly hope this time round, the search is finally over and I can look forward to the dreaded packing for the inevitable move. One small perk though that I'm more than eager is the shopping for stuffs to make the temporary place our comfortable abode for the next 3 years.
