What Am I Grateful For This Week ...
Better late than never ...
I'm late again to post my list of gratitude this week. It must be the hazards of retirement! Too laid-back that I'm getting too slow at many things ... this included. Anyway, talking about retirement, I am so grateful that I will be celebrating the 1st anniversary of my retirement in a day or two. Time passes by so quickly.
I am also grateful for all the opportunities that has come my way since and for the wonderful support and encouragements that I've received from my family and friends.

My Bubble: Live & Love This God-Given Life ...
It's been quite a hectic past week I must say. With 2 freelance projects running simultaneously, I have to admit that I had been under a whole lot of stress. Ask Lo Kong and Nick, they'll probably endorsed it HARD & LOUD! The one most affected had to be Nick, who inadvertently stepped into the receiving end ... many many times.
Finally, I've submitted what I'm required to do with some remnants for completion next week. Ahhhhhh ... I can breathe easy now and catch some entertainment on Astro TV. I have been missing a lot of my favorite shows lately.
Anyway, I managed to catch the American Idol 10 re-run a few hours ago. After taking delight in the talented performances of the aspiring singers as well as the squirms in between for those (I wonder where they put their faces after their horrendous performances on TV) who has no talent whatsover, it was Chris Medina's turn. He was the last candidate at the Milwaukee audition. He definitely can sing and reminded me so much of Andrew Garcia from the last season but what moved me was his personal story that brought tears to my eyes ... lots of it actually!
I found out later that he has become the most famous face on American Idol. The barista had shared about his fiancee, Julia Ramos who had been involved in a car accident just 2 months before their wedding. As a result, she suffered brain damage. They have been together for 8 years and he's steadfast in his vow of 'through sickness and in health' as he takes care of her with her Mom. He certainly proved that there is such a thing as UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!
As all the judges walked up to say hello to Julia, it was just as touching to see Steven Tyler tenderly whispered in her ears, "The reason why he's singing so good is because he’s singing to you.”

Watching the before and after pictures of Julia, reminded me that life should not be taken for granted. Love and live this God-given life to fullest. Remember to be thankful for all the good that we have now and learn from the bad that frustrates us now as tomorrow may changed without any notice.
See out the words ... "I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES!"

Just Laughs: Definitely!
One day the teacher wanted the class to use the word "definitely" in a sentence.
Suzy raised her hand so she called on her. She said: "the sky is definitely blue!"
I'm sorry Suzy thats wrong the sky sometimes turns different colors red ,gray etc.. any body else?
Timmy raised his hand and said: "the grass is definitely green".
I'm sorry Timmy that's not true either, sometimes the grass dies and it may turn brown, anybody else?
Little Johnny raises his hand and says: "Teacher do farts have lumps?"
The teacher says, no why?
Johnny says: "Than I definitely Shit my pants!"

Poetry: On Distinction
Poem By: A. F. MORITZ
We won’t pretend we’re not hungry for distinction
but what can ever distinguish us enough?
This country, this language won’t last long, the race
will die, later the cockroach, earth itself,
and last this beer bottle: silicon fused by man,
almost indestructible, like a soul:
it will go spinning ever farther from the nearest thing
until space, continually deepening, drowns in itself.
Yet we keep a hungry eye on old schoolmates
and everyone born in the year of our own birth,
and spend the nights in ranting over them,
their money, fashionable companions, pliant critics.
To live just a little longer than they do:
that would be triumph. Hence exercise and diets,
and the squabble over who will write the history
of this paradise of demons casting each other out.

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...
Oh boy Oh Boy!!! I've almost forgotten to jot down my list of gratitude for the past week. Though it has been a week of ups and downs, no less there are still plenty I am grateful for.
My random list for the week are:
1. I am grateful to receive 2 projects riding back to back with one another. Once completed, there's a bright opportunity for more future projects. Oooooo ... $$$ for the holes in my pockets!
2. I am grateful for the flow of ideas that has been popping inside my head with ease. I'm so glad to have completed 16 articles this week.
3. I am grateful for the motivation to overcome the numerous emotional upheavals this past week.

Law Of Attraction: Control Your Emotions ...
When applying the law of attraction into their life, many people find it a hard thing to do. Don't worry though. While it may sound easy when written on paper, the law of attraction can be a hard thing to really understand and comprehend on a deeper level. All of the experts and gurus have gone through this at some time in their lives, so don't feel like there is something wrong with you.
There are many different ways that you can make the law of attraction really work for you. Some of these ways become obvious the longer that you study and practice using the law of attraction. Others take a much longer amount of time and some are only learned by a few people at all.
YOUR EMOTIONS ARE KEY...
Knowing how to keep your emotions in control at all times and how to interpret what they are telling you is a key that you need to know when using the law of attraction. Whatever your emotions are, they will be directing you and guiding you to a result. If your emotions are out of control, you may not like the result that they guide you to.
The more that you can have this side of your life in check, the better off you will be. If you face a setback and you instantly get angry or feel desperate or hopeless, it will be hard for you to bounce back. And bouncing back is a must if you are going to get your desired outcome.
Know how your emotions work and what they are telling you. Keep them in control and deepen your understanding of the law of attraction and you may begin to see your life change for the better!

Just Laughs: Honor Among Thieves!
Tim and Bill were standing in a bank when a pair of robbers entered the lobby.
Not only did the thieves clean out the tills, but they walked around with bags and ordered everyone to throw their valuables in.
Just as the thieves got to the pair, Tim turned to Bill and, passing him a bill, said, "By the way, Bill, here's that twenty bucks I owe you."

My Bubble: Online Match 3 Games
No new assignments?! No new projects to do??!!
Never one who's into those online games like Cafe World, Farm Ville or Mafia Wars on facebook, I'm certainly not going to start on any there. Browsing aimlessly around the web, games sites kept popping up as if drawing the bear to honey. Oh well, what the heck! I randomly clicked Online Match 3 Games, thinking that there are only 3 games to be played. I was so wrong!
Just in case I might want to try again in the near future, I went on to download Match 3 Games. What a laugh that I'm playing online games ... there's still some kid inside huh?
Suddenly it had all dried up! Must be the holiday season I had consoled myself ... hahaha!!!
Funny, I can become so uninspired, so lethargic when there's no articles to write and no books to read. Despite waking up almost at 10am the past few days, I still felt so lazy and sleepy. It was such a chore to drag myself to the gym. Astro TV was of no help ... playing all the old movies and reruns. Bad ... it was certainly BAD!!!
After finishing up the home chores, plopped myself in front of my laptop as usual. Checked out the world news online, catch-up on my regular blog-friends, update my blog and facebook and that's it, I'm free again.

There was a bunch of Match 3 Games there from puzzle quests to treasure hunts to war games such as Jewel Search, Fishdom, Magic Ville, Pizza Chef, Family Farm and many other likes. Tried out the Jewel Search, then Slime Army, then Fishdom and Bloxxy but somehow, I'm just not much of a gamer. Got bored after a few hours. I guess I'm lucky to be those who won't to get hooked on computer games unlike lo kong and Nick.
Just in case I might want to try again in the near future, I went on to download Match 3 Games. What a laugh that I'm playing online games ... there's still some kid inside huh?
I went on to iron all the clothes in the laundry basket ... felt more constructive and at least managed to burn some calories along with it!

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...
Life was so uninspired earlier in the week. Struggling to cheer myself up, I dragged from a day to two and then to a third. Thankfully, I recovered my energy by the fourth and it's now another weekend.
I am so grateful for the amazing force that came from within me and the cheers of my online friends that sparked positive thoughts to attract positive happenings for the last few days. I am so grateful to be placed on a crossroad right now ... spoilt for choice, I must make wise decisions for fruitful weeks ahead. I am also grateful that the Infinite Being has guided me with much clarity of mind.

Law Of Attraction: Build Up the Energy!
Everything is energy and exists in each of the life areas you want to enjoy. The quality and quantity of energy really matters as it defines how a particular life area works for you.
While working on projects with people, their business, their romantic lives, etc., I have seen how something that has no energy, or is in negativity, can be built to show positive results. I also felt the need for and worked on articles and book(s) showing people how to manifest happy and successful lives as the Law of Attraction teachings that exist now are very beautiful but still don't show the complete picture on how to actually do it.
Training a person's mind to be successful is a skill in itself and when a person's mind becomes capable of thinking successfully he draws in wonderful experiences.
Just like a home has to be built from down up, your different life areas also have to be built, maintained and expanded.
What is needed is the feeling of navigating towards the life that you really want.
Do you feel as if you are walking and even flying towards what you really want? The kind of life that you will like to lead is waiting for you!
As you get familiar with the Law of Attraction, and the ways of the Universe you will see that what you want is really there, if you can conceptualize it.
If you can see it, feel it, touch it, even if in your mind; then it is there for you. And as you call forth that energy, it comes into your reality for your experience.
Enjoy a smile as you sense that what you want is already there waiting.
I love the Law of Attraction, because it opens so many doors. As each contrasting experience serves to get you to realize even more of what you would really like, it takes a certain skill to let go of the contrast and focus on what you really want to experience.
There are ways to do this; there are ways to build up your life into what you want. I don't know if you have seen the Secret Riches Visualization tool on my website. Every time I watch it, I find that my gaze sharpens and what my gaze sharpens upon is what my brain is getting wired to see into actual happening. As I see things that I like, I start to attract likeness of it into my life, and the likeness solidifies into actuality as I enjoy it more and more.
It is great to be a Master Manifestor, but what is it that you need to be a Master Manifestor?
There are many qualities that will come up as you train to be a Master Manifestor, one of which is perseverance. The Universe likes someone with this quality.
Some may call it stubbornness (not a very polite thing to do) but if someone does call you stubborn, instead of getting upset, smile and think to yourself "Ahh but I will be enjoying whatever I want cause this quality in me helps me do it." And then of course if you feel that you are being stubborn unnecessarily to your own disadvantage, then let go, but you can have the consolation of knowing that this quality will help you if directed in the right way, and in a manner useful to you.
I personally love the word 'Master Manifestor'. I love it when I tell a client "You are becoming a Master Manifestor" (as we get into our sessions) and then I say "You are Master Manifestor."
How do I know it? I observe their thought patterns and what is being created.
Each situation requires a particular thought or line of thought that shifts it. The thoughts have to be skillful, clever and powerful. The right thoughts can shift the most difficult of blocks.
As a person's thought process changes, you can see if they are on their way to being a Master Manifestor, and are then that!
Meanwhile even while you are becoming a Master Manifestor (you may already be one and just don't know it yet) keep building up the energy of whatever you want to see happen, enjoying the process of doing so.

Just Laughs: The Bad News Is ...
A man receives a phone call from his doctor.
The doctor says, "I have some good news and some bad news."
The man says, "OK, give me the good news first."
The doctor says, "The good news is, you have 24 hours to live."
The man replies, "Oh no! If that's the good news, then what's the bad news?"
The doctor says, "The bad news is, I forgot to call you yesterday."

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...
We are now slightly more than a week into the new year and I am grateful that everything has almost returned to normal.
The schools have resumed their curriculums and most people enjoying their Christmas holidays are now back to work. Lo Kong has also returned to the grind after a long break while Nick's starting his new semester come Monday. I have not been left behind either as I regained my daily routines.

My Bubble: Making A Boo-Boo ...
Recently, I'd learnt from a friend that cooking can be therapeutic ... a way for her to de-stress. Perhaps it is for her but for me, it's a totally different perspective. I actually like to cook but never the cleaning up ... but they both normally goes together, doesn't it? Anyway, cooking to me is more like a feat ... cook up a storm with my dishes and then scout for compliments. If I received good ones, the ego kicks in but otherwise, I'll swear never to cook anymore till the next itch that comes along to cook. What a perverted interest to cooking!
Just a little while ago, I had an itch to bake. BAKE?! It's not my best forte but just felt like it. Heck, I've got all the ingredients at hand ... wholemeal flour, eggs, margarine and I'm in need of some healthy afternoon snacks anyway.
I decided to make some sugar-free cinnamon bread cookies. Crumbed the wholemeal flour, protein powder, flaxseed, salt and margarine together before adding fresh yoghurt and egg to make a dough. Then I formed the dough into small balls before flattening them onto the baking tray.
I should repeat that baking is certainly not my forte. Halfway into baking them, I realised I have forgotten to add honey and cinnamon. I was too excited to get to the end result. Now, I'm stucked with plain almost tasteless bread cookies ... LOL!!!
End of this story, I guess my friend was right ... cooking can be therapeutic because I can't stop laughing at myself for such a boo-boo ... and then comes this idea to post.

My Bubble: Finding Nature's Alternative For Me ...
It's 12 noon and my stomach's growling!
I've only had a shot of bitter-gourd juice for breakfast. Bitter-gourd looks like a cucumber but with ugly gourd-like bumps all over it. As the name implies, the bitter-gourd is a bitter veggie that contains a hypoglycemic compound (a plant insulin) that is highly beneficial in lowering sugar levels in blood and urine. Researchers have supported that the bitter-gourd juice can significantly improve glucose tolerance without increasing blood insulin levels.
Having not eaten anything after that, I made myself a cup of sugarless iced-coffee topped with rolled oats and ground flaxseeds. Hmmmmmm ... my stomach still feels empty. Considering that I've threw-up all my dinner last night due to stomach-cramps plus a 4km run this morning, that cup of watery concoction sure ain't enough! Ransacked the fridge and found Lo Kong's boiled Japanese sweet potatoes from yesterday. I don't mind eating it cold as it is but it's sweet! But then, what the heck ... I'm hungry!
Guilty as hell biting into that piece of sweet potato, I popped onto the net to check about the likely combination of sweet potatoes with diabetes. I've heard that sweet potatoes are healthy food but to my surprise, I did not figure it will be as good as what I've discovered.
Sweet potatoes are more than just a filling food. It is one of the most nutritious food we can eat. It is rich in complex carbohydrates and low in calories as there are only 117 calories in a 4-oz serving. With the same serving, sweet potatoes can give us half of our daily need of vitamin C and 20% of our daily vitamin E requirements to provide the protection to our blood vessels and certain parts of our eyes. They also have those good B vitamins, folate and vitamin B6, that give the brain a boost as we age.
Sweet potatoes are a great source of fiber too which means it's a good food for people with diabetes, like me! The fiber helps lower blood sugar by slowing the rate at which food is converted into glucose and absorbed into the bloodstream. Also, because they are such complex carbohydrates, sweet potatoes can also help control weight.
When buying sweet potatoes, we need to look for the ones with the most orange color as they contain the most beta-carotene. Now that I know more facts on the sweet potatoes, I don't think I'll worry about putting the next nutritious piece of sweet potato in mouth ... ever!
Next, I'm going to see what I concoct out of those sweet potatoes ... yummy!!!

When buying sweet potatoes, we need to look for the ones with the most orange color as they contain the most beta-carotene. Now that I know more facts on the sweet potatoes, I don't think I'll worry about putting the next nutritious piece of sweet potato in mouth ... ever!
Next, I'm going to see what I concoct out of those sweet potatoes ... yummy!!!

My Bubble: A Ghost Of The Past Came To Visit ...
"The past is a ghost, the future a dream, and all we ever have is now" says Bill Cosby, the famous American comedian, actor, author, television producer, educator, musician and activist.
On a rational day, it inspires me to forge ahead in my quest to re-invent my life ... a challenge that remains a struggle and made worst every time a ghost of the past came to visit. How timely it has chosen to pay a visit this time ... right on the eve of a brand new year!
All the excitement of welcoming the new year just came to a halt! The ideas, the plans ... nothing mattered anymore when my spirit was so oppressed by the memories of the darkest hours in my life. Time may have healed the wounds (more like a deep pitless stabs) but the scars are far from disappearing!
I have fought a lonely fight ... going against the current that would have sucked me into the depths of despair and depression if I had not held on to my sanity and my vacillating will to survive. There are days I wanted to give in but somehow I've managed to find strength through my blog ... I'm grateful.
Peaks and valleys in my life ... what had been the meaning of this visit? Is it a sign that I am to face another beating in my life?
Dear ghost of the past, I may have lost 2 days of 2011 but I am now empowered to embrace the balance 363 days with all its challenges ... you have awakened the giant in me. I am no more the same person I used to be. I dare you to visit again because I will be ready to crushed you with all my might and send you scampering into oblivion!

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...
It's the new year already ... 2011!!! It seemed like a whole year had just flew by in a jiffy but on reflection, I realised that there's plenty I can be thankful for.
Here's a few random gratitudes on my list this week;
1. I'm so grateful that I've had a very growing year for 2010 ... kicking myself along to discard all the unwanted habits, attitudes and fears in order to enjoy personal growth.
2. I'm so grateful for the freedom I've been enjoying since my retirement, allowing me to do the things I like at my own pace, time and by own rules.
3. I'm so grateful for the opportunities that had manisfested after my retirement, providing me with a new set of goals in life.
4. I'm so grateful to have met and made all the new friends in my life as well as my friends from the blogosphere who has contributed value-added impacts on myself.
5. I'm so grateful for my little family unit ... Lo Kong and Nick as well as the presence of all our close kins and our extended families.
6. I'm so grateful that my family is healthy and nurturing well.
Let's be thankful for a great year past and that 2011 will bring even greater happiness, joy and prosperity to each and everyone of us. God bless all!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!!!
