Random Bubbles ...
A PRAYER FOR A SAFE TRIP
Lord, be our guide and our protector on the journey we are taking,
Watch over us. Protect us from any untoward incidence,
Keep us free from harm to body and soul.
Lord, support us with Your grace when we are tired,
Help us be patient in any trouble which may come our way.
Keep us always mindful of Your presence and love,
Amen.

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...
Extracted from Beth & Lee's Blog: "Whenever you stop and thank the Universe for anything that comes into your life, the Universe will bring more of the same vibration to you. Giving thanks comes from the heart. The direct connection of gratefulness creates an opening of your heart. Your heart is the path to the inner you. It is what connects the physical world to the spiritual world."
Another week passes and it is time again for my random list of gratitudes;
1. I am grateful for the uplifting thoughts that the Lord plants in my mind each day.
2. I am grateful for the wonderful abundance that I am enjoying Now.
3. I am grateful that my son who just celebrated his 20th birthday is growing into a fine young adult.
4. I am grateful for the exciting new adventures that are planned for the coming months.
5. I am so grateful that I am RETIRED!

My Bubble: Never Knew There Are Such Friends ...
Personally, I treasure every friendship in my life with all my heart. Of late, I have even come to realize that I am quite a protective friend too. Good and bad ... depending on the type of friends you have and I actually never knew that there is such a type called 'toxic friends'.
Friendship is not something to take lightly or for granted. Here's an extract of a short article I was reading yesterday night in a very old copy of the Reader's Digest which I hope can help anyone faced with such friends and dilemma. This is certainly thought-provoking as I never knew I had such friends in my life too.
"Choose Your Friends Wisely
You may not get to pick your family but at least you still can pick your friends. Take advantage of this by picking healthy friends who don't suck the life out of you. Friends come and go; people change for better or worse. You are not obligated to keep around toxic friends just because you have a history with them.
Life is too short to surround yourself with people that don't add to your life in a positive way. Drifting away slowly from a toxic friend is often the least painful way to end these types of friendships.
Be prepared for an angry reaction. Most toxic people are incredibly self-centered and some of them will be upset when they realize that you've decided to stop being their patsy. Don't sink to their level and argue with them, just allow them to make themselves look like the fools that they are. They will probably cut off contact to spite you (which is what you wanted anyway), and perhaps they'll also try to convince others to take their side (which is good since they'll help you weed out other toxic friends as well).
By eliminating toxic friends that hold you back, you give yourself space for real friends who elevate you. I know it's hard saying goodbye to someone you've been friends with for some time, but it's a necessary sacrifice in becoming the person you want to be. Remember, life is about growing into the best you that you can become and sharing your failures and success with friends who genuinely appreciative being part of it.
Good luck!"

Law Of Attraction: Rule Opportunities With Inspired Actions
Mankind has been created with the ability to self-regulate themselves. We have the ability to control our emotions, behaviors and desires in order to obtain the rewards that we look forward to. In fact, rationally we can say we hold the capacity to efficiently manage our future through a series of decision-making and inspired actions depending on our level of self-control. With this ability, we can safely establish that we have the controls to make the law of attraction work for us or against us.
We may or may not be happy with the current situations in our life. If we are happy, we would tend to self-regulate ourselves positively and thus taking more positive decisions and actions to enhance our future. If life is on the contrary for us, we can still regulate ourselves positively into making the right decisions and making the right moves to attract the rewards we are looking for. Control our focus, thoughts and feeling positively and the law of attraction’s magnetic force will attract the likes to us in the form of opportunities. What are these opportunities?
By now, most believers of the law of attraction will understand that the manifestations of our wants does not necessarily unfold exactly in the same sequence as the visions in our thoughts. They come in various forms, directions and channels which are called opportunities. These opportunities surround us constantly and it is entirely up to us to decide where and how to seize them. Just as the great American inventor, Thomas Edison had said, “Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”
Nothing is going to change if we just rest on our laurels and go about our regular actions that keep us busy running in circles with our everyday activities. Do not forget that we are still helming our self-control and we can decide to spring into action. It is up to us to take inspired actions to move us closer towards our rewards. Remember the equation to the law of attraction is:
Thoughts + Feeling + Actions = Results
So, taking inspired actions is the final step to edge towards the results we are looking forward to. Inspired actions are initiated from the inner voice that’s nudging us to move which we sometimes called it as ‘gut feelings’. These gut feelings are coming from the bigger picture that the Universe is delivering to us. We can’t see the whole picture yet until we have taken the actions that we are being inspired to take. Every now and then, take a 2-minute sabbatical from the regular actions to quiet our mind, still our thoughts and relax our body. This will allow us to self-regulate ourselves in order to hear the inner voices more clearly and move as it speaks.
Coincidentally, there are two important behaviors we formed while we self-regulate which is commitment and perseverance. Consistently allowing these two new behaviors to sit in all our decision-making can certainly help us to be more productive with each opportunity we seize. We can be unstoppable once we have tapped successfully into the full equation of the law of attraction.

Just Laughs: Home Shopping
Two young men from up in Minnesota were looking at a Sears catalog and admiring the models.
Ole says to the Sven "Have you seen the beautiful girls in this catalog?"
Sven replies, "Yes, they are very beautiful. And look at the price!"
Ole says, with wide eyes, "Wow, they aren't very expensive. At this price, I'm buying one."
Sven smiles and pats him on the back, "Good idea! Order one and if she's as beautiful as she is in the catalog, I will get one too."
Three weeks later, Sven asks his friend Ole, "Did you ever receive the girl you ordered from the Sears catalog?"
Ole replies, "No, but it shouldn't be long now. I got her clothes yesterday!"

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...
Another week flies! Time again for a reflection of the week gone by.
First and foremost, my gratitude to the Lord for His guiding light and the emotional stamina that has kept me pushing forward each day. He is my constant companion and with Him, I feel His LOVE as I'm bathed with His quiet JOY. He is my PEACE.
Today, I am so grateful for the spiritual insights that has regained its footing in my heart and the growing rational dynamics in my mind that are propelling me back on track again in the exploration of my life's purpose and the pursuits of my personal goals.
"The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall lack nothing." ~ Psalm 23:1

Just Laughs: Malaysia Boleh!!!
After having dug to a depth of 10 feet last year, British scientists found traces of copper wire dating back 200 years and came to the conclusion that their ancestors already had a telephone network more than 150 years ago.
Not to be outdone by the Brit's, in the weeks that followed, an American archaeologist dug to a depth of 20 feet, and shortly after, a story published in the New York Times: "American archaeologists, finding traces of 250-year-old copper wire, have concluded that their ancestors already had an advanced high-tech communications network 50 years earlier than the British".
One week later, the Dept of Minerals and Energy in Malaysia, reported the following:
"After digging as deep as 30 feet in North Central Kedah region, Mahatir Mohammed, a self-taught archaeologist, reported that he found absolutely nothing. Mahatir has therefore concluded that 50 years ago, Malaysia had already gone WIRELESS."

My Bubble: Unexpected Arrival Of The Expected!
It was an unexpected delivery of the expected! Confusing huh?
I have been keeping my eyes peeled on the gate for the Citylink delivery guy to deliver an overdue goodies bag from Energizer. It was their gesture to compensate all runners who had signed up for their recently held disastrous night run. So far, 2 package had arrived and there's one more still awaiting its arrival.
Meanwhile, I am also waiting for the delivery of my recently ordered books from Amazon. Since their confirmed delivery was supposed to be June 18, 2011, I had not really expected it anytime soon. But with a loud honk from the Poslaju van outside my gate at lunchtime, I just can't wait to get down to reading my books!

Law Of Attraction: Manifesting Spiritual Powers With A Compassionate Heart
By attuning with spiritual concepts, you attract their corresponding powers, and 'become' them. Then the physical desires are raised from mere desire for personal fulfillment - to being transformed - and you become, 'more than human'.
The law of attraction is a natural law that contributes to man's contrition, and eventually man's reformation. Used wisely, it can transport man's selfish materialistic perspective of excessive striving and accomplishment, to serving and radiating divine forces for the good of others, and that is to become more than human.
The law of attraction is also our collective way home to the Brotherhood of Man, the Age of Aquarius, when man collectively experiences being eternal, with its resulting change of values and perspective. Thereby raising and balancing the desire nature. When the feeling of oneness can shine through for all, and that can only come about when our desires are turned to helping others first.
As the ‘Secret’ states, you must act ‘as if’ you have fulfilled your desire, for it to manifest. So too must we act as if we care more for others than ourselves for the fulfillment of the brother/sisterhood of mankind to manifest in our own hearts as well.
Further to: The Law of Attraction
When we focus on spiritual concepts of; compassion, forgiveness, patience and understanding, we attract those qualities into our nature. But when we focus on anger, hatred, jealousy and intolerance, we attract to us those qualities.

The difference is; spiritual energies project out into the universe and create positive influences in our state of ‘being’, (able to cope with difficult circumstances better); whereas negative energies do not project out (light projects, darkness implodes) but stays upon the aura of the person, thereby contributing to the illusion of separateness, (making someone feel stronger and more powerful, thereby attracting others who are stronger and more powerful than them), accentuating the need to remain negative in order to feel strong and powerful (that’s why we get the phrase; ‘the meek shall inherit the earth’.
The ‘earth’ in alchemy is another name for the prana, or healing life force that enables the personality to lose all sense of self, and unite with the brotherhood/sisterhood of mankind - a state of consciousness called the Christ level or Buddha level, or Cosmic Consciousness, or Humanity consciousness - a state that all humans can reach, once they eliminate their state of separateness, and begin to care more for others than themselves.
All ‘real’ power to manifest, to heal etc., requires a personality freed from this sense of separateness - a self-less condition that allows the energy to project. This condition is met because the person is aware that the ‘real power’ is not theirs, but a universal source only accessible to the truly compassionate at heart.

Random Bubbles ...
Some of us have emerged from the most painful circumstances with strong insights about who we are and what we want. Our mistakes? Necessary. Our frustrations, failures, and sometimes stumbling attempts at growth and progress? Necessary too.
Each step of the way, we learned. We went through exactly the experiences we need to, to become who we are today. Each step of the way, we progressed. Is our past a mistake? No. The only mistake we can make is mistaking that for the truth.
Today, God, help me let go of negative thoughts I may be harboring about my past circumstances or relationships. I can accept, with gratitude, all that has brought me to today.

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...
It was low morale at the lowest! Motivation unmoved and inspiration zilch!!
4 years ago, I was blindsided and cut down like a tree in the forest. My life changed forever through one painful experience at the most extreme. I thought the wound had healed, life moved on with grace and guidance from my Divine Savior. I am ever so grateful to Him for His guiding light and empowering strength that pulled me out of the drowning waters.
Regretfully, this past week the memories of a past that was to be forgotten came knocking on my door. I am only human conditioned with imperfections. The ill emotions and negative thoughts flooded several days and nights. Sleep was furthest reached as I struggled with the demons again.
I am grateful to my Divine Savior for the continuing strength He gives me to fight this battle inside.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you that You have promised to guide me always,
not just when I am up and on track, but always.
Today I lean hard on that and ask You to continue to show me the way to walk.
Father, sometimes I feel like a sun-scorched land but You promise to meet my needs even there. Today I acknowledge I need You. I am parched and I look to You to give me emotional strength, spiritual insight and physical stamina. You even promise to strengthen my frame.
Thank you Father that Your tender care encompasses all of me.
Help me to draw on that today and to praise You for it!
Through my Lord, Jesus Christ I pray, Amen.

Just Laughs: Simple Division
A 54 year old accountant leaves a letter for his wife one Friday evening that reads:
Dear Wife (that's what he called her):
I am 54 and by the time you receive this letter I will be at the Grand Hotel with my beautiful and sexy 18 year old secretary.
When he arrived at the hotel there was a letter waiting for him that read as follows:
Dear Husband (that's what she called him): I too am 54 and by the time you receive this letter I will be at the Breakwater Hotel with my handsome and virile 18 year old toy boy.
You being an accountant will therefore appreciate that 18 goes into 54 many more times than 54 goes into 18.

Poetry: Solitude
Poetry by:
ELLA WHEELER WILCOX
Laugh, and the world laughs with you;
Weep, and you weep alone;
For the sad old earth must borrow its mirth,
But has trouble enough of its own.
Sing, and the hills will answer;
Sigh, it is lost on the air;
The echoes bound to a joyful sound,
But shrink from voicing care.
Rejoice, and men will seek you;
Grieve, and they turn and go;
They want full measure of all your pleasure,
But they do not need your woe.
Be glad, and your friends are many;
Be sad, and you lose them all,—
There are none to decline your nectared wine,
But alone you must drink life’s gall.
Feast, and your halls are crowded;
Fast, and the world goes by.
Succeed and give, and it helps you live,
But no man can help you die.
There is room in the halls of pleasure
For a large and lordly train,
But one by one we must all file on
Through the narrow aisles of pain.

Law Of Attraction: Healing and the Power of Thought
The mind is so powerful that it alone can help you heal. This requires trust in yourself and your ability to focus your thoughts on what you want and how you want to feel. In each moment you can notice where your mind has gone, whether to worries, fears, judgments, and other negativity, or to thoughts that are more closely aligned with what you want for yourself.
An American named Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) was nicknamed “The Sleeping Prophet” for his ability to enter a sleep-like state and answer the health questions of thousands of people who came to him for answers. Although he died 65 years ago, his teachings are widespread today, with hundreds of books written about him and his work. The Association for Research and Enlightenment in Virginia Beach continues to teach what he brought forth from his trance state.
Although there are thousands of valuable pieces of information collected from his work, there is a theme that runs through his teachings. Cayce placed an emphasis on keeping a balanced mental attitude in order to maintain wellness. In one of his readings he said, “Through diet and exercise the greater portion of all disturbances may be equalized and overcome, IF the right mental attitude is kept.”
Cayce also said, “What we think and what we eat – combined together – make what we are, physically and mentally.” The question then becomes how do we maintain the right mental attitude and turn our minds toward thoughts that heal? Can this become a habit and if so, how?
The first step is to have an ongoing practice of noticing and managing your thoughts. This isn’t easy to do if you’re addicted to the television culture, where mass media sends a never ending stream of negative concepts into your brain. Or, if you like to get online and read the daily headlines followed by stories of horrific occurrences around the world. Or, if you like to “trauma share” with friends and colleagues about the annoying things that happen to you.
In the case of serious physical illness, we might find ourselves in a doctor’s office listening to negative possibilities and statistics that don’t sound promising. Because we are susceptible to these predictions, we often believe the bad news and accept it as fact when it isn’t. This can hinder the ability to heal because the mind is powerful enough to create what it believes.
We hear stories about people on their “deathbeds” whose families don’t tell them what the doctors have said about their dire situation. The person gradually gets well and goes on to live a full life. The mind didn’t have the opportunity to grasp onto the negative concept of doom, and instead believed in wellness. Our inability to really integrate this into mainstream medicine is a huge hindrance to our nation’s overall health and wellbeing. If we were masters over our own minds we could enhance and improve the entire medical system.
There are very few more important things you can do than to shift your mind to the positive. Any negative thought can be transformed by focusing on its opposite. Writing down the opposite thought, even drawing it out, helps change the negative thought pattern. Notice what you think about. Are you hooked in to the latest gory or fear-based story on the nightly news? Do you have people around you who enjoy talking in negative terms, going over and over the same dark topics? Do you do this yourself? If so, noticing these times and making an effort to change them is your path to making a positive mind a habit.
The best conversation I had over the past holidays was with a friend at a dinner party who said, “I’m focusing all of my attention on seeing the best in people. I’m simply not talking negative about things. My challenge is to practice this even when others around me are being negative.” Isn’t that the challenge for us all.
That was one conversation I’ve had lately that could have carried into the wee hours of the morning. When you find another person who’s on board with you, it is inspiring, uplifting, and life-affirming. It’s refreshing! This is where true healing begins.

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...
Interestingly, the rhythm of retirement is increasingly getting in tune each day. There's a quiet calm that grows along spiritual enlightenments. Maybe it is also something to do with age. As we grow older, we grow closer to the Beginning ... to where everything started and where it all shall end.
Receiving spiritual guidance will always lead to an attitude of gratitude. We are all creations of the Infinite Being and our being in the world is not without a reason or purpose.
As Whoopi Goldberg once said, “We're here for a reason. I believe a bit of the reason is to throw little torches out to lead people through the dark.”
Whatever further purpose the Infinite Being has for me, I am eternally grateful for the abundance and richness I had and am enjoying today. I am simply grateful for the guiding torches He has thrown to me to lead me out of darkness onto the path of right choices. I am grateful He had given me this opportunity to do my part through my personal journey here.

"Lord, words do not express my thankfulness.
For Your mighty power is at work in me,
transforming me, renewing my mind.
To You Lord belong thanks eternal.
In Jesus' name, Amen."

Law Of Attraction: Color Therapy To Sharpen Your Visualization
The law of attraction is all about desire, intent, visualizing, expect and finally the most important aspect is allowing things to come to you. Many hold the mistaken premise that the law of attraction is merely to think of what you want and you will immediately attract it into your life. Most of the time, this misconception leads to nothing happening and for this people, law of attraction soon bites the dusts.
Yes, the law of attraction states that what you think about consistently and carrying it with a strong emotional attachment will lead to manifestation. The emotions could be good or it could be bad ones too but as far as the law of attraction is concerned, it does not care! You will most likely receive it in the end. So to get it right the first time with this law of the universe is to understand that prominent awareness must be coupled with the appropriate feeling.
Your feelings play a major role in allowing the law of attraction to work for you. It works hand in hand with your thoughts. When your thoughts are clouded, your feelings will be blocked and there’s no allowing anything you desire to happen. How then can you begin to clear the clouds in your mind?
You can redress your emotional balance and bring it back into alignment and harmony with your thoughts through color therapy. Color is a natural element that comes from the purest healing force in the universe, light. Pure white sunlight gives life to every living thing while its colors provide the nutritive effect and energize. Colors can stimulate your mental activities and place a profound effect on your feelings and thoughts. It can calm and relax or it can swing your moods onto the far side. Try observing the rainbow, one of earth’s most spectacular light display and see how its colors affect you.
Color therapists use the seven colors of the rainbow in their color therapy. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and white. Each color is connected to the various part of your body and affects you differently.
Red is a healing color that provides power from the earth and gives you energy. It encourages grounding and purpose as it unblocks all your tension to promote courage and self-confidence.
Orange is a zestful color of creativity and sensuality. It stimulates your emotions to bring joy and a zest for life. It connects you to your senses and removes your inhibitions to make you happy, sociable and resourceful.

Blue is the color of clarity and truth that cleanses and revitalizes. Use the vibrant turquoise blue to balance your voice of communication and expression to enhance your affection and loyalty. Blue has a good pacifying effect on your nervous system that goes into promoting good health.
Indigo represent the color of deep spiritual healing and transformation. It promotes a connection with the divine to enhance spiritual enlightenment. The brilliant indigo violet increases your intuition and strengthens your search for the truth.
White in its purest is cleansing and purifying. It gives warmth and has the strongest effect on your area of highest consciousness, the centre of your manifestations. White strengthens and nurturing while it awakens your creativity. It stabilizes your energy system to allow your desires to come to you.
You can perform your own color healing at home using this simple breathing exercise. It can help to make you more centered, balanced and feeling alive. To start, find a quiet corner in your home away from any disruptions or distractions. You can lie down or if you prefer to sit, ensure that you are comfortable with the right posture, the spine straight and shoulder relaxed.
1. Close your eyes and clear as much from your mind as possible. Start to take a deep breath in and slowly breath out, trying to keep focus on your breathing.
2. Breath in again and then out and repeat several times, keeping your focus on your breathing all the time until you feel a sense of peace and tranquility beginning to envelop you.
3. Repeat the breathing until you feel a deep sense of calm as your body relaxes more and more.
4. As you continue breathing in and out, try to bring your focus on one of the colors. You can begin with red. Focus on the vibrant color in your mind as you slowly breath in and as you breath out, release some tension and blockages. Repeat this until you feel grounded and purposeful.
5. Rest a minutes as you enjoy the renewed energy that is slowly taking over you before you start your focus on the other colors.
Color therapy is non-invasive and is totally holistic. It can be made to be a part of your everyday life to fully enjoy the benefits of the colors in your life. Remember, you hold the capacity to make the law of attraction works for you.

My Bubble: Once A Year Affair ...
Just when I thought I'd put my legs to the test running the tar ... I'm now back to square one!
It's been almost 6 months since I've ran on the tar road to burn the calories, control the blood glucose and to keep the bad cholesterol at bay. The long halt had been due to a mistaken choice when buying my running shoes. I did the unthinkable despite lo kong's discouragement and bought not one but 2 pairs of Adizero ... racer shoes that do not have sufficient cushioning for my heavy body. Long story short, I've been suffering from a strained plantar fascia and peroneus longus tendonitis since.
After months of stretching exercises on the affected area as well as keeping my fitness level in control at the gym, I'd been itching to run on the road again ... more so for the fact that it burns more calories than most of the other exercises I've been doing. With a spur of the moment decision encouraged by the tempting cloudy evening, I put on my reasonably new Reebok Zigtech and hit the road again at 7.00pm.
Armed with a history of falling once every year while running, I'd been extremely careful while keeping a sharp eye on anything that litters the road. After running 5km in 35 minutes and on approaching home, I guess I've let down my guard all too soon. I missed a fallen fruit the size of a pingpong ball from a neighbor's tree and fell flat on the road. Thank God there was no passing car then.
Now I'm down again with a scraped elbow, palms and knees plus a badly swollen ankle. To top it up, I lost a gold bell from my bracelet during the fall too! Looking at the current price of gold today, that bell is easily worth RM145.00.
Geez, if my late Mom is still around, she'd probably said "bak tiah ko liao lui" which literally meant already suffer pain in the flesh and still had to lose money!
