What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

One more week on the fly ... it's so fast and it can only mean I'm getting old faster! Anyhow there must never be any regrets for the days passed but to pick up the worthy lessons that will make tomorrow a better day. That's why it is particularly important to build an attitude of gratitude so that we can appreciate waking up to every brand new day.

Whether in our best of times or during our most bleak hours, gratitude for one’s circumstances can be overlooked. Every little gratitude is precious!

"Gratitude is an art of painting an adversity into a lovely picture."
~ Kak Sri ~

During our worst times, these unfavored circumstances feel like giant obstacles in our life and sometimes forced us to travel down unexpected paths. They don’t exactly inspire thankfulness or optimism but sometimes these “terrible circumstances” in our life could be opportunities to reach towards life changing connections that will lead us to where we are supposed to be.

I encourage you to take the rest of this week to focus on the positive and give thanks for the gifts that life has given you. Who knows how an attitude of gratitude could lead to?  As for me;

1.  I am thankful for a fruitful week ... I've made things happen!

2.  I am thankful I can have everything I need easily ... food, clothing, shelter, family, friends, faith, happiness and love.

3.  I am thankful that I am able to find peace and purpose in my retired days.

4.  I am thankful for the lessons learnt from people I meet and the circumstances I experienced.

5.  I am thankful for the results from the commitments that I have made to myself.

Law Of Attraction: Angry At God??

"How can I trust God? I’m so mad and hurt by the things that have happened in my life, and recently I got some unexpected bad news. I heard one of you say that God can handle any of our emotions. But I’m afraid if I show God my anger, he’ll punish me. – Andi"

Note: Different people have different words for “all that is”. Some people call it Source, Universe, God, Higher Power…there are hundreds of names. Law of Attraction just assumes that there is something larger than ourselves, and that something is benevolent, loving, and kind. Feel free to change the word God to whatever works for you, and use he or she or it to refer to that power as you feel comfortable. Because Andi used “God”, that’s the word we’ll use in this article. We don’t think God cares what we call her/him/it, as long as we call…

God can handle whatever you feel. Including the bad stuff, including the blame and anger. Some of us grow up thinking we can hide our emotions and thoughts from God, and still have a connection- but its hard to feel open and trusting of anyone if we have “secrets.” And if God is all knowing, wouldn’t he/she already know you were angry?

We understand. It’s hard to trust God when so much has happened in your life. And if you’re feeling ungrateful, it’s really okay to say that and express it. We do feel awful sometimes. We are ungrateful sometimes. If we tap, we don’t have to stay there… but trying to force yourself out of that feeling before you’re ready doesn’t work really well. It just leaves us resentful and disconnected.

If it feels right, you can do some more tapping on this. We have been really honest with God about what we felt, including calling God lots of really bad names and sharing hatred and fury and resentment. Neither of us have been struck by lightening yet… and we felt calmer and more connected afterwards. (Cathy adds: I personally have used stronger words than are in this script, too. If cursing feels right, let God have it! While you tap, of course…) Feel free to change the words as you like.

Karate Chop: Hi God. I want you to know I HATE you… You BETRAYED me… You LET ME DOWN… I’ve been working so hard, trying to heal and feel more connected to you and you send me THIS?! How can I possibly trust you?!

You’re supposed to be so powerful, and you let this happen. What were you thinking?! I feel like you don’t love me and that crushes my heart. I am SO mad at you and I want to hurt you somehow.

Part of me is afraid to tell you this, but it is the truth. I want to trust you and feel loved by you, but this hurts too much. This is too big. I want to kick you in the shins. I want to pull your hair. I am afraid you’ll punish me for being angry…but I’m open to feeling your calm, loving, forgiving presence instead.

Top of the Head: I HATE you God.
Eyebrow: How could you let this happen?
Side of the Eye: Why would you allow this?
Under the Eye: I don’t understand.
Under the Nose: I try to be good.
Chin: I try to be loving.
Collarbone: And I’ve been working so hard.
Under the Arm: How can I trust you?

Top of the Head: I feel betrayed.
Eyebrow: I need to let this anger out.
Side of the Eye: I hope you’re strong enough to take it God.
Under the Eye: Cause here it comes!
Under the Nose: I HATE YOU.
Chin: You let me down!
Collarbone: I’m not sure how to trust you.
Under the Arm: Not after this!

Top of the Head: So much has happened.
Eyebrow: I’m not sure how to deal with this.
Side of the Eye: I could use your help with this anger.
Under the Eye: I could use some help with my fear.
Under the Nose: Even though I hate you…
Chin: Please help me.
Collarbone: Show me in LOTS of ways…
Under the Arm: That you love me deeply.
Top of the Head: And will help me through this.

Take a deep breath.

Does that help at all??

As scientists at heart, we like to base our beliefs at least SOMEWHAT on observation. We have not observed that anyone anywhere…no matter how holy or lovely or divine in their energy… is immune from: broken hearts, disease, cancer… you name it. Therefore, we cannot base OUR understanding of God on the notion that he is someone doling out favors and treats to the Good Boys and Girls… and punishing the others with disease. We see NO EVIDENCE of this.

We are not JUST physical Rick and Cathy. We have a non-physical reality, too. Call it spirit or soul, it is the Me, and the You, and the We that existed before we came into this earth world and will exist after and that has the eternal relationship with Source.

There may be places in this Universe where Souls go to have the Perfect Vacation… where fires only are used to roast marshmallows and keep us warm, where our arrivals and departures are always celebrated, where the food is always perfect and plentiful, the shoes always fit, and the friends are always true.

If there is such a Heaven, it is not this world. It is not this rock. It is not this vacation/incarnation.

We have friends whose idea of a great vacation is to rough it, to take only what they can carry on their back, to develop strength and endurance as they explore realms they have never seen before. We’d call them crazy… except…

It seems that life here on Earth for all of us is going to be a mix of deep intimacy and cold loneliness, of warm embraces and harsh breakups, of delicious foods savored with friends and… vomit. Who amongst us has not puked?

Loving God and trusting God seems to only come from knowing a broader truth, that Life is not begun and ended here, that on some deep level we are each an excited participant in a life here that challenges us… where our friends are challenged… where we cross new rivers and climb new mountains… even if we do so in pain and struggle and tears and shit. And at the end of THIS “vacation” we will most certainly have a story to tell. Just as we share our stories now.

We know that during the darkest times, when the noise gets stripped away, the God has guided us in making the “most” out of the precious time we get on this earth journey. By “most,” it doesn’t necessarily ever mean the most uninterrupted joy. It means sometimes moments of intimacy shared when sick, or when you hold someone’s hand because you would fall over if they were not there. The ONLY difference we can see between a cursed life and a Blessed Life is the perspective of the participant. And that, we do believe, we can always shift with God’s help.

Tapping while telling the truth of what you’re feeling RIGHT NOW, is powerful. And incredibly healing. Sometimes it takes a lot of courage to speak the truth, or to even admit what it is. Having the support of a caring and insightful group of people can make all the difference. It can sooth your soul and bring peace much quicker. If you are interested in finding community to share with, there are groups on many cities and towns. Meetup.com and Yahoo Groups can be great places to find connection. And our Group Coaching Program is our personal favorite place to share honestly in a place of warmth and understanding.

A Note of Awareness #49

Different people have different words for God. The law of attraction just assumes that there is something larger than ourselves and that something is benevolent, loving and kind. Refer to word to whatever works for you and makes you feel comfortable. We don’t think God cares what we call her/him/it, as long as we call …

It’s hard to trust God when so much has happened in your life. And if you’re feeling ungrateful, it’s really okay to say that and express it. We do feel awful sometimes. We are ungrateful sometimes. God can handle whatever you feel. Including the bad stuff, including the blame and anger.

My Poem: Flickers of Hope

Sometimes life seemed so unfair. Questions! So many questions we may asked at our times of distress! Why do I have to have diabetes? Why do my friends have to fight the Big C? Why has my brother-in-law been disabled by Parkinson's? Why can't my sister be free to savor her golden years?

In faith I know God has His reasons. In faith, He has given His people hope too. In times of troubles, I should not be looking for the "why's" but to look for life through His gift of hope ... to live.  Hope never abandons anyone but perhaps I have.  Embracing God's gift of hope can help us overcome our fears to emerge stronger, more compassionate and loving ourselves more.  And may we become the motivation for people around us.

This poem is dedicated to a very special friend.

My Bubble: The Fasting Begins ...

I have just started my 12 hours fasting. Why? Because I am getting prep for my full medical check-up tomorrow morning. My last meal was a bowl of 'tom yum' soup at 7.30 pm and now I am already kinda freaking hungry!

No choice! Can't turn back time and just bear with it ... lol!!

I know it is important to get an annual medical check-up but I've been late. It had been planned for October last year but it was never a right state of body and mind. So the spirit failed to pursue. Then it was planned for January ... delayed to March and finally the body, mind and spirit is ready for it tomorrow!

I won't be drawing blood tomorrow but there's definitely going to be some blood drawn from me though ... don't mind the pun! Then there's going to be 'pee pee' test plus some huffing and panting on the treadmill ... and I heard the less you struggle on it the longer you've gotta endure at it. Geezzz!!!

Jokes aside, I really hope my medical results will not be too unfavorable. With my diabetes, I know I am not in the most pink of health but I do hope it is moderately undesirable and still controllable.

Well, wish me luck for tomorrow!!!

A Day With God In My Bubble ...

It is often said when people grow older and wiser, they mellow. With age comes maturity, we become more compassionate and seek to be closer to God. I totally agree because as I reach the 5th decade of my life, I am constantly seeking to be closer to God more. I think of Him, I reach for Him and more often than not, I do feel Him close. I don't think it's because I am steps nearer to heaven's gate but more so because I have become more appreciative of his blessings through my life experiences.

I do not think I am particularly religious but I do have my faith in God through my Lord, Jesus Christ. I believe no one religion teaches us to be bad but on the contrary. It is only mankind's selfishness that has brought on extremism while calling His name in vain. I believe that God's expectation of us is to practise peace and harmony as well as love and respect for one another. His expectations is for our moderation in everything that we think, feel, say and do. This is the God I have faith in and in Him I will trust!

At times, it may not be easy to feel close to God but seek Him out with a prayer and He will channel His presence to us in surprising ways.

Today I'd spent an afternoon with a friend. Her strength and independence in the face of a personal distress is a source of inspiration. Through her, God conveyed that hope never leaves. Often when we faced difficulties, it seemed that hope has abandoned us. But she showed that hope is still there, ready for us to embrace it. To have hope is good as it keeps us strong and positive to face our challenges.

For my friend, I pray that she knows the Lord is always there with her through this difficulty. That He will give her strength in her hour of need, nourish her spirit and soul while comforting her with His presence.

Lord, please hear my prayer ... Amen.

Affirmation of the Week ...

Everyday is a good day as long as we focus on the positive of any situation. There are others around us who may be a little let down today. Let's share our positive energy with them. My friends ... I know I just made a smile happened and it is contagious!!

This is my affirmation of the week ...

Random Bubbles ...

It was 14°C when I left Paris on 26 April 2012. It has been in-between 34°C every day since I'm back in Kuala Lumpur. Talk about extremes of weather condition ... I'd choose the cold anytime!

"Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing,
wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating;
there is really no such thing as bad weather,
only different kinds of good weather."
~ John Ruskin ~

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

"Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet." This quote by Bob Marley is so unhesitatingly profound! Literally, how often do we really enjoy the rain? More often than not, we grumbled about the inconvenience of getting wet.

Anyway, I believe the deeper meaning to Bob Marley's words is that we need to live in the moment, to be one with the elements and embrace every experience. It is about appreciation and thankfulness. Trust me when I say everything that happens to us has its reasons that will make us wiser and stronger. If we try hard enough to focus on the positive of any situation, we will truly be able to live with gratitude for what we have that is good. Gratitude keeps us positive and moving forward.

Another week just swept by and right on the dot, I want to reflect on my daily experiences throughout this past week. Checking in regularly with our gratitude can help keep us grounded and give our life its meaning. Here is my random list of gratitude;

1. I am so grateful to see the light of another new day!
2. I am so grateful for today ... a beautiful Saturday morning!!
3. I am grateful for the energy and the excitement to bask in every new day!
4. I am grateful for the ideas and the enthusiasm that comes with every new morn!
5. I am grateful for this wonderful life!
6. I am so grateful that I am capable of being grateful!
7. I am grateful that my Lord is present in my life always!

FOR GOD A THANKFUL PRAYER

Thank you God for giving me another day,
another chance to become a better individual,
another chance to give and experience love.

Thank you God for giving me health,
for the food you provide,
for the awareness you have awaken in me.

Thank you for the energy that feeds my soul,
the sun that warms our bodies
and the air that fills our lungs.

Because of you I believe in the good without the bad and the ugly,
because of you I am learning to love and accept myself,
because of you I believe in believing.

My source, stay connected to me today and always,
for I need you in order to fullfil my spiritual tasks.

God, show me how to love myself,
to be able to love others.
Help me become the type of person that I would like to befriend,
help me forgive myself and forgive others.

God, make me a channel of your energy
and help me understand.
I thank you God for giving me another day,
another unused opportunity to do it right.

Keep us all close to you
and listen to our prayers.
Amen.

Law Of Attraction: Your Support System In Likeminded People

Are you a person who likes to do everything on your own? No doubt you do not like to trouble others but at times it can really be a long haul to go at it alone. It is the same when you are working with the law of attraction. It would certainly help to get connected with likeminded people who would love to journey together with you on your road to positive manifestations. No road is long with good company. Who knows, new acquaintances may just blossomed into amazing friendships beyond your expectation!

As you have discovered the law of attraction, there are many others who have also discovered this powerful tool that can change their lives. These are people who share your enthusiasm and can become great allies towards your success in attracting abundance into your life. As much as they want success in their own efforts, they are also interested to see you succeed in yours. Call them likeminded people or call them allies, they are your support system, your source of inspiration and your source of motivation. They are as important to your success as you are!

"Surround yourself with like-minded people
who support you on the road to success."
~ Shirley George Frazier ~

Getting connected with likeminded people is absolutely an integral part of the law of attraction. As you evolved in your newfound empowerment with passion and dedication, you subconsciously put out the vibes to attract people who are on the same wavelength with you. Like attracts like, your eagerness and positive outlook can be contagious while at the same time their positive vibes can help you to recharge your enthusiasm. Surrounding yourself with likeminded people will help you grow as you tapped into their experiences and resources.

There are no limits as to how, when and where you can get connected with likeminded people. That’s not your concern as the law of attraction will take care of it. Whether it is physically through communal networking or virtually in this internet era where social networks are norm, know that the Universe had orchestrated these connections to promote mutual benefits in terms of creative ideas, new possibilities and new potentials. Your responsibility then will be to nurture your newfound relationships and work together to encourage each other towards your respective goals.

In conclusion, being surrounded by likeminded people is one of the most rewarding ways to enrich yourself. The world may be a ‘Big Blue Marble’ but fortunately with the evolution of technology you can reach out to anyone across the globe these days. The Universe has delivered to you a virtually borderless world. You do not need to go at it alone as there are millions of likeminded individual who are ever willing to travel with you on your journey with the law of attraction. It is up to you to seize each opportunity to find good company!

My Bubble: No Self-pity Please ... Someone May Be Worse Off!

Of late I have been trying my utter best to deal with the changes in my affliction from diabetes. With onset changes that do not see improvements, a decision has to be made and has been made. I am grateful that I am able to accept my condition relatively well with no untoward psychological effects so far.

As much as I try to stay positive, I am only human ... conditioned to be affected negatively at times. Those are the times when I wondered, "Why me?!" However at times like these, having faith in God and an attitude of gratitude always pulls me through.  With God by my side, "You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have."

Today I am alittle affected negatively as I'd received news that another close friend of mine had been diagnosed with 'The Big C!' I am saddened that this dreaded illness has affected two of my girlfriends within a span of one year. Both of them are still young in their mid-thirties. Cancer seems to be getting more rampant these days! Just this afternoon, even the soyabean milk seller was telling me that his father is terminally ill with cancer.

This brings to mind that sometimes it is very easy to indulge in self-pity. However, if we could take a moment to look around us and put ourselves in others' shoes, it's also easy to realise that we are not always the worse off!  I constantly remind myself to adopt thankfulness and remember what Jimmy Buffett said, “It takes no more time to see the good side of life than to see the bad.”

My friend will be undergoing her chemotherapy soon and I hope everything will get better thereon. I also hope I've repeated myself enough times that she can count on me for assistance or just a listening ear whenever she needs one. To all my blog-friends, let's join together to recite a short prayer for her speedy recovery;

Lord, please heal our sister Lynn
and give her the strength and patience she needs to persevere
and to carry her cross.
May she keep strong in faith, hope and love
and place all of her trust in your merciful love.
May she be abandoned to your merciful love
and know that everything you ordain
or permit to happen to her is for her good.
Thank you, Lord, for hearing my prayer.
Amen.

A Note of Awareness #48

The law of attraction connects you with the Universe and to all the likeminded individuals who believes in it. Discovering the law of attraction is a personal empowerment.

This natural law of the Universe works like a magnet to attract back to you what you have put your most dominate thoughts and feelings toward – good or bad. This means you have a powerful ability to deliberately manage your life the way you want it to be. Sometimes when the goings may seem fruitless and you feel like giving up ... remember that you do not have to go at it alone!

Likeminded people are always in your midst. Whether they practice the law of attraction or simply positive thinking, you can seek their assistance. A healthy support system will keep you inspired, motivated and driven. So surround yourself with likeminded people for good company.

My Poem: Our Journey

My life and yours is a journey that's not of our choice. It's just the progression of humanity but each of us have our very own purpose for this journey. As we stumble along the way, our courage often tested, we will find our respective purpose. We may not have the control at the beginning but we certainly have the control over how we want to make ourselves purposeful if we are willing to learn from our experiences.

"All life is an experiment.
The more experiments you make the better."
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson ~

My Bubble: I Can't Out-run My #1 Enemy!

It has been 6 years since I discovered a most dreaded enemy in my midst.  I can't run away but I could always try to keep myself at least 3 steps ahead.  Indeed, it had been one of the toughest challenge to stay ahead.

Wondering who's this enemy I'm referring to? Yes, I am talking about my diabetes ... an adult-onset condition due to insulin resistance where my cells cannot use insulin properly leaving high levels of glucose in my blood. Medically mine is referred to as Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 and oh how lucky me ... it is a hereditary condition that only affects me in the entire family.

It is no fun having diabetes. You can't enjoy the freedom of eating whatever you want, when you want and how you want it. There is always a 'control' tag to remember, else I shall suffer from hyperglycemia when there's a excessive build-up of glucose in my blood. Exercise to rid those blood glucose cannot be compromised either ... means I cannot take it easy and be lazy. However, there cannot be too much vigorous exercise either because of the harmful effects of either hypoglycemia or a worst hyperglycemia.

I realized the multiple complications that diabetes can cause on my vital organs. My eyes, my heart, my kidney ... and since its discovery, I have been controlling my diet and sweating it out as much as possible to keep this enemy at bay. Unfortunately, diabetes is a condition that cannot be cured ... it can only get worst!

After 6 years of controlled diet, weight loss and exercise, I can no longer sustain my advantage. I'm faced with a losing battle ... I can't out-run my enemy any longer. It is now time for me to seek the help of oral medication ... an avenue that I had put off for so many years.

Looks like the battle with my number one enemy is now taken to the next level. No matter how low diabetes is hanging over my head, I shall strive to keep ahead ... through moderation and self-care. I want to enjoy my life!

A Day With God In My Bubble ...

Today God wanted me to know that He is always there in the midst of the chaos. When everything in life turns upside down, I should remember that I'm in the hands of the Creator. Look to God, and I'll always know which way is up.

Indeed a profound message that I've picked up. Just been to the doctor to check out my nagging backache for the past week. Undue worries is now of the past as it is nothing untoward due to my kidneys but just a muscle pull made worst yesterday due to a prolonged run.

However, I have been troubled lately by my blood glucose (BG) readings that has yo-yo from lows to highs. My diet and exercise to keep my BG under control due to Diabetes T2 is no longer working for me. All the frequent travelling has also turn my controls quite topsy-turvy. This situation has put myself between a rock and a hard place for months on whether to start on the appropriate medication or to continue with my controls through diet and exercise.

I am putting my trust on God as usual. Through Him I know whichever way I decide, He will guide me onto the right direction. I am in God's hand and it's feel good today. I feel so strongly that it is time to start on my medication for a better control of BG ... the doctor has prescribed me with Metformin 500mg at one tablet twice a day.

Affirmation of the Week ...

It is important stay focus on the positive to make the best out of the week ahead. Just been to the doctor and I am glad my nagging backache this past week had only been caused by a muscle pull. Thankfully, it is not anything untoward on the kidney as dreaded earlier. The weather is so kind to me too ... one moment cloudy to satiate my love for a cool windy climate and next the blazing hot sun is out to dry up my clothes. It feels good today and it's gonna stay that way throughout my week!!

This is my affirmation of the week ...

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

I am so thankful for a constructive and fruitful day. I am sure it must be the same for several of my classmates who were present today. We had all been looking forward to our get-together but as usual it was never easy to get all the girls together in one place at the same time. Thanks to Kwee Nah for taking the time to coordinate amongst us although there were still quite a number of the Muar Misiput Gals who didn't make it today.

After months of postponement, I am grateful that 10 of us were able to make it and many thanks to our classmate, Wan Nee for putting up her beautiful home for our meet. Despite her reassurance, I know we did leave quite a bit of mess behind.

Yes it's happening! Finally, an idea born during one of our earlier meets more than a year ago is seeing some lights of day. I am so grateful that we hit off our first discussion of the many more to come that will make our lives' half-century milestone a grand affair ... one big bash to celebrate together which we've referred to as "The Big Five-O!" Next is to see how the majority of our classmates residing all over the country and abroad will response.

Time really flies and it has been ages since we left school but girls will be girls ... time is never enough to finish our chats whenever we meet and there were only 10 of us! Imagine when the whole batch of over 100 girls who've not met in over 30 years converge in one place???

Law Of Attraction: Untwine Your Distorted Mind

To discover the law of attraction is a great blessing. This Universal law that has been around for ages simply says that you attract into your life whatever you put your most thoughts on. There may be areas in your life that you are most happy with. Then there may be areas that keep you discontented too. Whatever your situations, do not blame them on circumstances because it changes nothing. Nothing happens to you without your permission or consent.

You cannot hide behind the false belief that you are a victim of circumstances. The reality is everyone has control over their own life. Everything that is happening in your life right now or that has happened to you in your past had been in full response to your thoughts and more importantly your emotions hitched to them. Your life is the results of the conscious and unconscious choices that you made in correlation with your thoughts and emotions. Haven’t you realized what a powerful creator you are?

In order to tap into that powerful ability of yours, do not let your distorted mind sabotage the harmony between your thoughts and your emotions. A distorted mind creates confusion and frustration that clouds your judgments. Distortion in your mind sends out confused messages to the Universe which in turn delivers more of what you do not want or nothing at all. It is not the Universe at fault and you are mistaken to think that the law of attraction is not working for you. It is just not working the way you anticipated.

Get your facts right and the law of attraction will work more to your favor. It is not a wishing well that you can just toss a coin in and magically get whatever you wished for while resting on your laurels. You have to take the initiatives to understand how to the play by its rules. Everything in life has its own set of rules for the very reason that without them there will be chaos, confusion and dysfunctionality. So if you do not fully understand the fundamentals to the law of attraction, there will be chaos, confusion and dysfunctionality in your mind.

You have been hearing all the buzz to “trust the Universe” and to just “ask, believe and receive!” Without a proper grasp of the rules, you are unsure which and what you should be doing first. Are you supposed to wait patiently and let the Universe do its thing or do you leap with your inspired action and chase after your dreams. You might probably ask when would be the right time to trust your gut feelings too. Well the truth is they all have to work hand-in-hand.

If you want to use the law of attraction consciously with positive results, it will require more than just the general information that usually covers only the surface of the subject. You must know by now that those frequently mentioned statements are attached with important actions that you will need to fulfill. It requires mental work, focus, visualization and your willingness to undertake the necessary challenges for change consistently. Often technicalities may sound tricky but you need to dig deep for further know-how on the subject and fully comprehend how the rules of the law of attraction work.

Getting your facts right is important although sometimes you may get in the way of the Universe to response to your intentions. It happens especially when you get too caught up with the how-to steps and the do’s and don’ts. Your opportunities may just slip by unnoticed. How your desires come to you, when and from where are really not your main concern. What is of utmost priority is your responsibility to create a harmony between your thoughts and emotions. Your thoughts are the seeds of your desires and your emotional health influences their positive fruition. You can control your emotional health by consciously choosing to express yourself with the appropriate attitude to achieve the harmony. So, while you work on achieving the harmony, you are allowing the law of attraction will figure out the rest.

With a thorough knowledge, you can consciously use the law of attraction in your favor. With a thorough knowledge, you untwined the distortion in your mind. In return, you are able to consciously choose your desires, have the clarity to focus on what you choose to have, to feel excited and enjoy every experience while cultivating an attitude of gratitude for every little outcome. Little by little you will even trust your intuitions when the feelings are right!

A Note of Awareness #47

Discovering the law of attraction can be one of the grandest blessings to receive in your life. But learning about the do’s and don’ts of it can sometimes confuse and frustrate you. “Do I act immediately or do I wait patiently?” you are unsure.

These unanswered questions can weaken your vibrating energies sent out to the Universe.  When you are confused, you confuse the Universe too!  You know that the law of attraction is a very powerful concept when clearly understood can dramatically change your life. You know it has delivered the dream life for many successful people and it makes sense to believe that it can do the same for you too!

“Do I need to take action or not when using Law of Attraction?” If you are unsure, it is important to address the issue by empowering yourself with knowing the governing rules to manifesting exactly what you want in life. There are rules to everything in life and knowing these rules helps you decide what you will need and should do. Intuitively you will know when it’s time to take action!

My Poem: Borrowed Time

Each day we live on borrowed time ... a blessing from our Beloved. Let's use it wisely in order to achieve the purpose why we are placed in this world. There's no turning back time to correct our mistakes but to take the opportunities of each new day to make amendments for our wrongdoings. Let's not waste this precious time to live, laugh and love!!!

A Day With God In My Bubble ...

God's words are a source of inspiration and guidance throughout our life. The Bible is no doubt His most infinite book of wisdom, to strengthen us, to encourage us, to uplift us besides teaching us about love and to have hope, compassion and forgiveness.  However, God sometimes chooses to speak to us through other avenues when we have lost or stumbled in our ways.  We will hear Him when we are willing to open our hearts and mind to the messages He's conveying to us.

Today, I received word from the Lord that "sometimes I need to be still. Chasing the things I want can make them move further from reach. I should relax and let events unfold in their own time." I guess the tell-tale signs of tiredness, body-aches and an uninspired mind are the reminders that I should heed His words and take it slow.  Indeed all the travels can become too much of a good thing. It is time to focus on normalcy in order to realign my perspectives.

With God all things are possible and John 1:16, "From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessings after another."  It will be good that we are constantly aware of God's providence and love by expressing our gratitude to Him.

I am nothing without His love.
Thanks be to God ... Amen!

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

Guess where I am right now? I am posting this entry right here at the Woraburi Phuket Resort & Spa, located on the sunny pristine Karon Beach ... Sawadee Ka!!

"Woraburi" means an idyllic place
populated by fairies who revel in perpetual happiness.

Lo kong and I arrived late yesterday night. There was a 20 minutes flight delay and immigration clearance was super slow ... first time ever encountered. It took us almost half-an-hour to clear. Lucky us, we already had a rented Honda Jazz waiting at the airport. This is our second trip to Phuket together after more than 4 years. This short trip is a marathon cum vacation. Just like the previous year, lo kong will be running another full marathon at the 7th Laguna Phuket International Marathon held at the Laguna Phuket Resort tomorrow morning. Don't think we will be catching much shut-eye as the race starts at 4.30 am and we have to make a 35-minutes drive to the starting line.  Although he has not really healed from his injuries, I do pray he will somehow make it to the finish line within the qualifying time.

Another week's due to reflect my gratitudes and I'm simply very grateful to be back on this popular island paradise. I am equally grateful to arrive safe and sound amidst the mad rush from home to the airport since lo kong worked a full day today. Randomly, my list of gratitude are pretty simple ...

1. I am grateful to be able to enjoy my current lifestyle ... one that I had always dream of.
2. I am grateful for the wonderful travel experiences.
3. I am grateful that my body, mind and spirit are balancing pretty well.
4. I am grateful for God's presence in my life all the time.
5. I am grateful for all the epiphanies that has changed my perspective on life.

My Little Prayer of Thanks

Lord I come before You, desiring to provide thanks.
Father, I have so much to be thankful for, things unseen and seen,
that You have done in my life.

I am thankful Lord for everything that You allow to cross my path.
Thankful for the decisions that You allow me to make
and the lessons that come from these decisions.

Lord, words do not express my thankfulness.
For Your mighty power is at work in me,
transforming me, renewing my mind.
To You Lord belong thanks eternal.

In Jesus’ name, Amen!

Law Of Attraction: Epiphany A Message From The Universe?

Everyone can have an AHA moment anytime and several times in their lives. It can happen at different times, circumstances and places across the world. You too would have experienced these AHA moments frequently in your life. They are the sudden realization or a moment of clarity that some would otherwise call epiphany. While some may be less notable and perhaps overlooked, there are the bigger ones that may have great impact on your future. The greatest epiphanies in your life are those defining moments where you gained wisdom or revelation that could be used to change your life. Do you trust your epiphanies?

Whether it is called AHA moments or epiphanies, you don’t create these moments of realization but simply prepare yourself to receive what the Universe is trying to communicate to you. It is the law of attraction at work. When you released your powerful intentions to the Universe, your answers does not necessarily come exactly in the manner you wished for but in ways that the Universe deemed fit. These defining moments are delivered to you to help you change your perspective in life and make the conscious choices to live the life you had always wanted.

I love the law of attraction. Unknowingly, it has worked for me for years for the better and sadly for the worst too. However, discovering and learning to use it positively has certainly transformed my life. The results are fascinating. As I continually release my powerful intentions to the Universe, one important lesson I’ve picked up is to trust the Universe to know what’s best for me. The Universe may be giving you the insights on what you need to do to move forward in your life but you will have to notice and trust it. That’s why it is equally important to always keep an open mind towards the revelations you are receiving.

A general rule of thumb when you are making bold transformation to your life is to trust your own intuition or gut feeling that stems from your heart. The law of attraction won’t work! Your epiphanies won’t do you any good either unless you act on it. When you feel good about the actions you are about to take, your intuition is telling you that you are likely to be on the right track. Take one step at a time and the next AHA moment will come to you in due time to help you with your subsequent move.

When you believe in the law of attraction, you trust that the Universe is orchestrating everyone and everything into the right order so that the appropriate events can occur in everyone’s life. But you must also remember that nothing happens in your life without your permission. When you act, you are allowing the Universe’s plans to fall in place.

A Note of Awareness #46

Have you ever experienced an AHA moment? The sudden realization or a moment of clarity that is called an epiphany. It is the law of attraction at work. When you released your powerful intentions to the Universe, your answers may not come exactly as you wished but in ways that they ought to . What are your epiphanies for today?

If it is right, it happens!

Epiphanies happen to everyone all the time and at different times, situations and places in the world. You don’t create the aha moments but simply prepare yourself to receive what the Universe is trying to communicate to you. They are the defining moments where you gain a wisdom or two that you can used to change your life. These are the moments that will help you make the conscious choices to living your life the way you desire.

My Poem: Sleepless With Epiphany

Sleep are getting shorter as I get older. There are nights I have sound sleep but there are nights when I turned into a night owl. Tossing and turning, my mind will be abuzz with ideas and inspirations, The excitement makes sleep a total impossibility while I look forward to a new day with renewed hope.

My Bubble: Last Minute Tour Of Mount Titlis ...

Having a feel of snow is not something new to lo kong and me. Our first encounter was when we went on a tour to Beijing during winter (December 2007) and a more recent one was when we were in Hakone, Japan in February this year. But these instances cannot compared to the layers and layers of snow on Mount Titlis in Switzerland. It was snow everywhere. It was extreme cold and it was extreme wind. We were lucky that day for its beautiful sun-shining weather. So it was extreme sunshine that I even got a slight sunburn on the snow-capped mountain!

We had left our Zurich itinerary open as we wanted to catch some free and easy days after the Zurich Marathon. Although our original travel itinerary only included Uncle Chew and Auntie Elaine, we were later joined by their daughter and her young family from London. She had 2 of the most adorable little tots (must see their pics). The whole family had pre-booked a packaged tour to visit Mount Titlis and since we did not have any particular plans, we decided to hopped on the same tour.

Titlis Glacier Paradise!
Our guided trip left Zurich on a comfortable excursion bus that took us on a scenic ride to reach our destination about 3 hours later. Mount Titlis stand 3,238 metres tall and just as most mountains in Switzerland, it provides a 360° of breathtaking awesome. It is also famous for having the world's first revolving cable car called Rotair. It is accessible via Engelberg, a small village that sits quietly in an idyllic valley which is central Switzerland's best-known ski resort. The ascension up Mount Titlis starts from the small village to Trubsee at 1,800 metres where we transferred to a bigger cable car to take us to 2,450 metres. Here we finally boarded the Rotair, a rotating gondola that provided the 360° amazing view of the glaciers.

Once at the top of Mount Titlis, we were given 2 hours to enjoy the panoramic views, basked in the sun and enjoy the facilities there. We took a ride on the Ice Flyer chair lift that goes down the glacier park. We took a miss on the slides in the glacier park and immediately return on the chair lift where lo kong unfortunately slipped and fell on the slippery ice when getting off the chair lift. He was alright except for a sprain on his wrist that broke his fall. We also explored the glacier cave. After a quick lunch, we followed up with a Movenpick ice-cream as dessert. We descended Mount Titlis in the opposite sequence of our ascension. On the way back to Zurich, we had a short stop at Lucerne, a city lapped by a scenic lake and surrounded by snow-capped mountains.

We soon hit the road again for the 3 hour ride back to Zurich where we dine at Walliser Kanne Restaurant @ Bahnhofstrasse ... an authentic Swiss fine dining. Uncle Chew and family headed back to London the following morning while we prepared for another day of free and easy stay around the city before heading back to Paris. After a night in Paris, we ended our inaugural European holiday on the 12pm flight back to KLIA.

Law Of Attraction: Discovering Peace Will Erode Your Barriers

The law of attraction is at work all the time regardless you are aware of it or not. It works to attract everything and anything that you focus your attention and energy on. In other words, it attracts all positive and negative events with you in the driver’s seat. You are the deciding factor!

Why don’t you take a break and assess your current situation in life. Ask yourself if they are the results of what you have been giving your most attention and energy to.

Knowing exactly what you want in life is not enough for the law of attraction to work exactly in the way you want. You need to fine-tune and balance your vibrating energy into alignment with what you want. Your thoughts and emotions are the determining factor to your vibrating energy. If you are constantly in a state of discontentment, fear and doubt, you will be creating negative vibrating energies that drive you in the opposite direction from what you truly want. On the other hand, if you are constantly feeling contented and grateful, you will reach a state of peacefulness with yourself and the circumstances that surround you. By doing so, you will increase your positive vibrating energy to create more of what you want in life.

"Nothing can bring you peace but yourself!"
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Life is full of choices! At any moment in your life, you can choose peace. You can choose inner peace. You can choose peace between friends or you can choose peace between enemies. You can also choose peace on the planet. Regardless of the conditions you are in, you have the choice to choose to be at peace with yourself and all that comes into contact with you.

Your peace is the state of being, unaffected by anyone or anything or any circumstances that surrounds you. You realized that nothing you experienced in your past, today and in the future can come about without your permission. You feel relief, blessed, optimistic and hopeful. When you are in a state of peacefulness, you are taking responsibility for your own thoughts and emotions. You will soon discover your creative energy to manage your inspired actions and the opportunities that are continually attracted to you. When you choose to be at peace, you are allowing the law of attraction to work for you positively and draw you closer towards your goals.

Most people are not truly happy or comfortable with themselves. They are constantly at war with themselves and are often torn away from the peace that they deserved in order to attract what they want. In order to achieve peace with themselves there must be acceptance. It doesn’t mean totally foregoing whatever you want but at least you are not in a state of constant resistance. Things and situations can be changed but solutions can only be easier found when calm prevails.

John F. Kennedy once said, “Peace is a daily, a weekly, a monthly process, gradually changing opinions, slowly eroding old barriers, quietly building new structures.” When you finally find peace, you will become a powerful magnet to creating and attracting everything that you are passionate about. This is one of the secrets of the law of attraction!

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

There are several changes that I have experienced in my life eversince I discover the law of attraction. Some may say that it's a coincidence but I call it the work of God. He knew I needed it at the lowest point of my life and it did tremendously!

One of the biggest change in my life was to renew my faith in God and to adopt an attitude of gratitude. I slowly gained the consistent habit to count my blessings and to accept that every experience I have encountered in my life were of my own doing. I soon realized that living with the presence of God in my life creates peacefulness. Although I am still very much a work-in-progress, I have become more laidback and calm.

Being grateful is one of the simplest rule to a peaceful life and it is never too late to unlock it anytime and anywhere. I may not have had a good week for the fact that there was a power surge in my home that damaged several of my home appliances including my modem and router, I am glad there are many other positive things going on in my life.  Here is my random list of gratitude I wish to share for the week;

1.  I am grateful for the short but relaxing trip to Singapore.
2.  I am grateful that Nick has found a temporary job in our neighborhood to fill his time before resuming his degree course in September.
3.  I am grateful that the cause for the faulty electrical supply to my home has been rectified.
4.  I am grateful that the new health supplements for my insomnia are working positively.
5.  I am grateful for all the little epiphanies that arrived just at the right time each day.
6.  I am just very grateful for this blog that allows me to express and share my gratitude.

A Note of Awareness # 45

Life is full of choices! At any moment in your life, you can choose peace. You can choose inner peace, you can choose peace between friends. You can choose peace between enemies and you can choose peace on the planet. Regardless of the conditions you are in, you have the choice to choose to be at peace with yourself and all that are around you.

"We can never obtain peace in the outer world
until we make peace with ourselves."
~ Dalai Lama

Your peace is a state of being unaffected by anyone or anything or any circumstances surrounding you. Know that nothing you experienced in the past, now and in the future can come about without your permission. When you are at peace, you are allowing the law of attraction to work for you positively. When at peace, you become a powerful magnet to creating and attracting everything that you are passionate about.
