What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

One more week on the fly ... it's so fast and it can only mean I'm getting old faster! Anyhow there must never be any regrets for the days passed but to pick up the worthy lessons that will make tomorrow a better day. That's why it is particularly important to build an attitude of gratitude so that we can appreciate waking up to every brand new day.

Whether in our best of times or during our most bleak hours, gratitude for one’s circumstances can be overlooked. Every little gratitude is precious!

"Gratitude is an art of painting an adversity into a lovely picture."
~ Kak Sri ~

During our worst times, these unfavored circumstances feel like giant obstacles in our life and sometimes forced us to travel down unexpected paths. They don’t exactly inspire thankfulness or optimism but sometimes these “terrible circumstances” in our life could be opportunities to reach towards life changing connections that will lead us to where we are supposed to be.

I encourage you to take the rest of this week to focus on the positive and give thanks for the gifts that life has given you. Who knows how an attitude of gratitude could lead to?  As for me;

1.  I am thankful for a fruitful week ... I've made things happen!

2.  I am thankful I can have everything I need easily ... food, clothing, shelter, family, friends, faith, happiness and love.

3.  I am thankful that I am able to find peace and purpose in my retired days.

4.  I am thankful for the lessons learnt from people I meet and the circumstances I experienced.

5.  I am thankful for the results from the commitments that I have made to myself.
