Procrastination is like a credit card; it's a lot of fun until you get the bill. Christopher Parker |
Yesterday I had a day with ample time in hand but what did I do? I squandered! Yes indeed ... I squandered the time away. No assignments in hand meant a good chance to update my blog and catch up in the blogosphere but noooooo ... instead?
Don't know what I did but at least I made it to the gym for an hour's workout on the treadmill and weights. I had also cooked up a healthy quinoa salad and mushroom soup for dinner last night. Well that takes care of the healthy lifestyle part although despite the non-carbo and sugary diet, my 12-hour fasting blood sugar still shot up above 8 mmol/l.
What the heck is happening? Seeing the doc tomorrow to find out why!
Anyway I hit the gym again today for a quick half-hour run that burned 500 calories against an input of 200 calories. No carbo and no sugar the whole day ... just a plain taufu fah as lunch and an all-veggie vegetarian dinner with one kiwi fruit for dessert. Let's see what my blood sugar holds for tomorrow morning.
Procrastination may be an evil friend but blood sugar is my dreaded enemy!!
