My Bubble: I'll Be Away Travelling ...

Lo kong and I are on our way to the airport right now. We are heading Down Under and will touch down at 0525 hour on the 9th most liveable cities in the world ... Perth.

"Home is where the heart is,
and my heart is wherever I am at the moment."

~ Lily Leung

This was supposed to be a week's marathon cum vacation break but due to lo kong's still recovering injuries, we'll just be enjoying a 12km run together at the 2012 Chevron City to Surf race on Sunday and the rest is sight-seeing.

Regretfully, the hotels we're staying in do not have any free Wi-Fi which means I won't be able to update myself here regularly for the coming week. You can keep abreast with my activities on facebook though where I'll check-in wherever and whenever I can.

Cheers ... till I return!!!

Happy Birthday Lo Kong!!!

You're older Lo Kong ...
Come next year you'll be a half-centenarian!!

Poetry: Life's Railway

Life’s Railway
by Marilyn Lott

Life is a lot like a railway
As we travel along through time
Clickety clacking along our way
A good life we seek to find

We pass through many places
Meet folks both good and bad
Have experiences along the way
Many happy but some are sad

Some of the places we travel
We never plan to return
But others stay in our memory
Good lessons we have learned

We never know what we will see
All we can do is take it day by day
Doing the very best we can
As we travel life’s exciting railway!

Poetry: A Milestone of the Heart

A Milestone of the Heart

A milestone of the heart
Has the wind for a friend
Inspiration for the soul
That stays true to the end.

A milestone of the heart
Is a road's lightened breeze
The spirit of a friendship
Heard laughing in the trees.

A milestone of the heart
May be but a disguise
The spirit of great knowledge
And the whispers of the wise.

A milestone of the heart
May beat steady and slow
Is the making of the wind
Where kindred spirits grow.

My Bubble: Acupuncture ... Pricked For The First Time!

Acupuncture is one of the oldest healing practices in the world. It is part of an ancient Chinese medical treatment aim to restore and maintain health through the stimulation of specific points on the body. Today it is widely sought all over the world, at times to complement the modern medicine.

Lo kong had been undergoing acupuncture treatments for the past month due to his injuries sustained during his maniac marathon pursuits. Today, I followed him to the acupuncturist's clinic for a dose of my own treatment ... also pains and aches sustained due to running.

Being a person who has had four tattoos on my body, the needle insertions were kinda prickly or I could say hardly felt a thing until the acupuncturist inserted the last and the longest of all the needles. After pricking through my skin right on the spot that was giving me the most pain, he wriggled the needle somewhat causing some intense pain. The pain felt lesser soon after and my body relaxed that I almost dozed off. The needles were removed after about 40 minutes. The acupuncturist massaged the pricked area before adding some chiropractic manipulations. It felt good when I felt and heard the 'tuck' at each manoeuvre but the massage on my calf was the worst pain!

All in the treatment cost us RM45 per person. So will I go for the next treatment? We'll see.

My Bubble: Shooing My Running Nose ...

"There is an itch in runners."
~ Arnold Hano,
Yesterday, lo kong and I went pounding the road for a run around the neighbourhood. It was a last-minute prep for the coming Perth to City Surf 2012 and he wanted to complete at least 10km to be ready.

Lo kong had been injured since he did the back-to-back marathon bid on New Year's Day in Taiwan. Followed by several other marathons in Tokyo, Paris, Zurich and twice in Singapore, he never really recovered. In fact, it has gotten worst and he's been undergoing acupuncture treatments for the past month.

Still stubborn to run a full marathon, thankfully I've managed to change his mind into running a 12km run instead at the coming race in Perth. I can never understand his passion for running the distance and I do not want to discourage it in any way but at least I do hope to encourage some due period of recovery if he wants to ever recover his personal best at sub-5.

I am not a running person myself but accompanying lo kong to make our footprints on the tar is just a form of getting in shape and take control of my diabetes. It wasn't the best timing at 1hr 20mins plus running in the drizzle, I've been sneezing my head off the whole morning!

Shoo ... shoo ... flu please go away! I cannot afford you cos I'm heading Down Under in a few days!

Affirmation of the Week ...

Once upon a time, I've never imagine living my life the way I do today and doing the things I do. Tribulations turned things around and my life has become more deliberate, purposeful and awesomely happy. With a clarity of mind, I am focused on two major goals in my life right now. I know where I am going and I know I am going to get there definitely!

This is my affirmation for the week ...

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

Tomorrow is Eid-ul-Fitr or Raya Aidilfitri here in Malaysia, marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadhan. Many KL-lites are expected to be heading out of the city, either to return home to their respective hometowns to be with their family and friends or to some holiday destinations in view of the longer weekend break.

Expecting the city to be much quieter than it normally is, lo kong and I went for a leisurely outing about town today. Our intention to shop for home improvements stuffs for our new condo turned futile although we did end up buying some stuffs in an IT hyper-mart instead. Far from expected, the city wasn't quiet at all!

Anyway, I am so grateful for this long weekend to unwind and it's just one week away before we fly out to the land Down Under!

My Bubble: Misunderstood Only To Be Understood!

"Every truth has two sides; it is as well as to look at both,
before we commit ourselves to either." ~ Aesop

This is so true before we judge others who like to share their accomplishments, their happy story or their steadfast beliefs.  Majority of us are conditioned to jump at the conclusion that these people simply love to show off.

It is not to say that there are no such people who are actually show-offs and prima-donnas but it is far from the truth for people who share their proud moments and accomplishments in celebration.  Without  expectations or recognition, they are merely expressing their gratitude.  They are exercising the law of attraction and they will attract more successes into their life.

In the light of the recent London Olympic, I was impressed by a local story of a family matriarch who once had a golden opportunity to represent the country at the Olympics and how her athletic genes seemed to have passed on to her young grand-daughter.  To look from the positive perspective, this is an inspiring story that is worth a few minutes' of our time to pass around to inspire others.

Even when we are happy for them and share in their celebration, we too are exercising the same universal law.  The law of attraction is unbiased.  It will work for anyone no matter which side of the fence you sit.  Like attracts like, your sincere joy attracts more joy to you.

However, if you're feeling threatened, you'll attract more of what you think you are lacking.  It is your own undoing.  This is because of the "kiasu" spirit in action.  "Kiasu" which literally means "fear of losing" is one of the most often used Hokkien word in our Chinese communities irrespective of dialects.  As far as the universal law is concerned, it only means you are insecure.

It is sad how sometimes friendships could be ruined by the "kiasu" spirit.  Friendly competition and humour among friends are healthy but when taken to the next where 'uncalled slander' is used to make the other look bad, the line will be drawn.  It took a long while for me to write about this but I feel it is about time to set the record straight, at least to honour our actions for moving on.

There's always two sides to every coin.  There are definitely those who had been curious of our quiet withdrawal from a once active participation in a neighbourhood activity we pioneered.  I trust the misunderstood has been understood!

Poetry: Cheerleader Within Us

Cheerleader Within Us
Author: Unknown

It's the glimmer of hope when times are tough;
It's a bit more patience when we've had enough.

It's that thoughtful smile when ones desperately needed,
It's that extra push, a reason why we've succeeded.

This part of our personality which never fails to strive,
Is the creator of our goals and the source of our drive.

We are enthused about life, optimistic about what's to be,
Because the cheerleader inside looks for the best of life you see.

It's the strong support upon which you stand,
It emerges as a friend to lend you a hand.

Where does this light come from, where does the ray start?
It shines in your mind, but ignites in your heart.

The confidence to try, the will to believe,
The acceptance of failure and the way to achieve.

It's very close by, its something we trust.
It's the fighter inside, it's the cheerleader within us.

Law Of Attraction: Building Courage To Move Forward [Repost]

“Confront the dark parts of yourself,
and work to banish them with illumination and forgiveness.
Your willingness to wrestle with your demons
will cause your angels to sing.
Use the pain as fuel, as a reminder of your strength.”
~ August Wilson ~

That’s courage, well said! Courage makes you react, pick up a decision and then move on with your lives. A cycle of cause and effect in motion throughout your waking life.

There are basically 2 types of courage. Physical courage, normally exemplified by specific individual acts of bravery in extraordinary circumstances and moral courage, a quality of the mind or spirit to face whatever life throw at you and move forward without giving up. As the Law of Attraction is about the mind, body and spirit, let’s just discuss about moral courage.

It’s been told over and over again, what you focus on the most you will get more of it. Focus on your shortcomings and how they hinder you, then get more hindrances in your life. Instead focus on your talents and what you can do, then you will receive more of it in your life. This is how the Law of Attraction and abundance work. You get an abundance of and attract anything that you are thinking about.

Scared 2So, do you find yourself in a position where you allow adversities to drain your motivation to move forward? What is your excuse for not doing or getting yourself out of it? Do you only see the challenges rather than the benefits in the situation? Remember, you are the captain of your own ship. You decide which direction you wish to sail. So, decide on courage over fear. Choose courage to stand up for your birthright to abundance! With courage, you will radiate positive energies to attract more of what you desire.

Choosing courage is not easy but it can reap great rewards. Start by changing your thinking right away in order to change your life. Shift your focus from the negative and focus on what’s to gain from your adversities. Do a clarity through contrast process to identify what you truly desire against what you do not want in your life. This should give you a clearer picture of your options and motivate you to take actions.

SnowstormBe optimistic and remember that the only one with the power to hold you down is YOU! With courage, you’ll find the strength to move forward.

“One is happy as a result of one's own efforts once one knows
the necessary ingredients of happiness simple tastes,
a certain degree of courage, self-denial to a point, love of work,
and above all, a clear conscience.”

~ George Sand ~

My Poem: A Little Tenor At My Window

Just a random piece of poem inspired by a singing magpie by my window today. It is a little wind of positivity to start off another brand new beginning peering through the window of life.

My Bubble: Excitement Tinged With Fear!

Reality is sinking in as I type.  It is no more wishful thinking that someday I will be doing something greater with my ghostwriting.  The dream is here!

All this while, I had only been dabbling with contents for websites, article writings, blog posts and product reviews.   The remuneration isn't all that bad but I'd like say that the fun is all in the passion.  I love to write and when the materials coincidentally touches on the areas of my interest, there'll be endless flow of ideas that I could pen down.

This past week has gotten me so excited as an opportunity has struck for me to ghostwrite a book.  Even more inviting is the subject that is so close to my heart ... the law of attraction and living deliberately.  I am ecstatic over the forthcoming new experience but that's not to say there's no little fearfulness brewing inside since this is my first attempt.  Keeping my fingers crossed, I hope I will not fail to deliver and with the success of this project I'll also get a tiny boost to my profile as a ghostwriter.  I am pleased that my quotation has been acceptable and the initial payment is now on the way.

Time to start cracking!!!

I've never failed to enjoy saying this, "the law of attraction works!"  and indeed it has been working  to perfect timing.  While past experiences may not all been good, things have certainly picked up.  As they said it often, practice makes perfect!

Affirmation of the Week ...

I'm probably sounding kinda narcissistic but everyone is born with a tremendous love for oneself.  Loving ourself does not necessarily mean over-indulging ourself.  It is actually being responsible for ourself and to build a healthy degree of self-respect.  Loving ourself is an acceptance ... accepting who we really are and being comfortable with it.

"I love myself for I am a beloved child of the universe and the universe lovingly takes care of me now." ~ Louise Hay

This is my affirmation of the week ...

Random Bubbles ...

I Can See Clearly Now

A Billboard Hot 100 Chart #1 hit song, written and recorded by Johnny Nash, released in 1972. It had been covered by many artists throughout the years, including this 1993 hit version by Jimmy Cliff, who re-recorded it for the motion picture soundtrack of Cool Runnings, where it reached the top 20 at #18 on the Billboard Hot 100.

I hope you enjoy the optimistic lyrics with an unabashedly upbeat tempo to keep you feeling motivated with a positive outlook on this beautiful Sunday.

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

Gratitude goes beyond saying thanks as an automated response in return to someone's kindness. It is thankful thinking practised every minute of the day for 365 days in a year. Gratitude should be a way of life. Why?

When we think thankfulness, we speak gratefully and act gratefully. It is a continuous appreciation that shapes our optimism towards everything we see, do and receive. With optimism, we carry hope in our body, mind and spirit. Gratitude adds quality to our life.

"We can only be said to be alive in those moments
when our hearts are conscious of our treasures."
- Thornton Wilder -

It has been an exciting week for me and I am happy to share my random list of gratitude for the week again;

1. While it had been a solemn occasion at my late Uncle's wake, I am grateful for the opportunity to catch up with kins whom I've not seen for a long while and also those I've never met before.

2. I am grateful for the safe and enjoyable drive back to my hometown with my loving sister.

3. I love to write and I am grateful that it has allowed me to earn some pocket-money regularly through ghostwriting and my blog.

4. I am grateful that my penning ability has open the door to an exciting opportunity to ghostwrite a book.

5. I am grateful that my new home is very close to vacant-possession and I am excitingly looking forward to put my renovation ideas to work.

6. I am grateful that I could disciplined myself to exercise and run on the treadmill every day.

Law Of Attraction: Are You Mentally Tough Enough?

Achieving success, whatever that may mean to you and your unique concept of what constitutes success, requires discipline, consistent effort and mental toughness. You need daily discipline, to ensure that you take the action you need to take every day to achieve the outcomes you want and mental toughness to allow you to endure adversity and setbacks along the way. When you accept that any worthwhile success journey will be filled with challenges, but that these challenges are never reasons to give up, rather only reasons to learn grow and expand. You equip yourself to eventually realise any goal you set for yourself.

Action Idea: Whenever any challenges cross your path, whilst you are travelling along the path to the success you desire, ensure you are prepared to be mentally tough and handle anything, which may come your way.

Mental toughness and fortitude will help you to:

-Manage any challenges or trouble, which may come your way.
-Press on despite your plans not working out exactly the way you wanted
-See any criticism as only a source of feedback. You will never allow someone else's opinion to dictate your thoughts or direction
-Believe in yourself and know your strengths and weaknesses
-Take charge of your life and accept 100 % responsibility for creating the future success you desire.

Mental toughness and a dogged determination to succeed are crucial on any success journey. If you feel that you give up too easily in the face of any adversity, it is crucial that you work to improve your mental toughness. The way to improve your mental toughness and determination to succeed starts with you first taking charge of your own success and accepting that you cannot ever blame anyone or any external circumstances for any challenges, roadblocks or setbacks, which you may encounter, ever again. As long as you follow a blame culture, where everyone other than you is responsible for any challenges or setbacks, you disempower yourself and accept that you have no power to change anything.

When you accept responsibility or said differently, you take charge of your future, no external factors control your destiny. Yes, external circumstances or factors over which you have no control may cause delays and force you to do things a little differently, but they are all you have. So blaming and pointing fingers at the circumstances in your life, is as effective as cursing the sun, wind and rain, when that is all you have. Many people have achieved great success during the past few years, despite the challenging external economic circumstances. Even during the great depression from 1929 – 1933, there were people who became incredibly successful. It is never the circumstances you face, which determines your level of success, but rather how you adapt to and utilise your current circumstances to achieve the outcomes you want. The way you future turns out is not up to your environment, but rather up to how you use your circumstances to achieve what you want.

Empower yourself right now and accept that you can achieve greatness, despite any external circumstances and take charge of your future. The moment you stop being a victim of your circumstances and accept that you can and will succeed in any environment, you become a champion of your life and nothing can stop you. Do not give anyone or anything any power over your life; nothing should hold any sway over how your future turns out. You are the captain of your future and "NO-THING" should ever be allowed to stop you.

Becoming mentally tough is often the final piece in the success puzzle. I do not know any successful people, who are not mentally tough. So if you want success in your future, mental toughness is not an option, it is a necessity. Invest energy into gradually building your mental toughness, by placing yourself on a diet of responsibility, where you finally take charge of your future, one small moment of responsibility at a time and you have the power to create any success you want.

Note of Awareness #53

Are you tough enough to face whatever challenges that cross your path, whilst you are travelling along the path to the success you desire?   Are you prepared to be mentally tough to handle anything, which may come your way?

Positive thinking and optimism is synonymous to build mental toughness. Couple it with a dogged determination to succeed and you will have the formula for a successful journey.  Whether you are an optimist or pessimist, the law of attraction works the same.  It attracts your most focused desire or your most  dreaded fear.

Make the law of attraction work to your advantage.  Giving up too easily in the face of any adversity is not the answer!

Poetry: Give Me The Wind

Give Me The Wind
by Craig Nicholson

I am at my best with the wind in my face,
When overcoming the challenge, with pace.
The pace that requires more effort, more strength.
But once gained momentum, endures with great length.

It's easy to sit back, placid and calm
Comfort is only a relative balm.
It seems an advantage, better than strife
But is dulled by stagnation, stifling life.

Progress needs movement, energy, drive,
No chance for improvement if you do not strive.
Nothing's for nothing: cause and effect.
That which you work for, you've more chance to get.

So give me the wind, let it blow in my face,
The more I confront, the more strength I'll embrace.
Steps are not mounted, nor challenge o'ercome.
Without certain courage or effort be done.

My Bubble: Pump-Up The Volume!!!

Everyone gets inspired in many different ways, means and time. It is a wonderful experience that directs and influence our mind and soul. It plays an important role in our lives although not always sustainable. We all need inspiration in order to achieve the things we want in our life. It is a precious gift that I consider as a divine guidance to direct me towards a deliberate and purposeful life.

There's an idiom that says, "One man's trash is another man's treasure." What I find inspiring may serve no significance to you nor what you may have drawn inspiration from may mean nothing to me. Life is a constant learning process with many unusual and sometimes funny situation. It does not matter either way ... as long as we are inspired for our good is all that matters.

I love that I can find inspiration in almost everything I see, hear, read and experience. Just as a ride in the car, passing through scenic views along the highway can draw an inspiration, it is as interesting to find the same sitting among unfamiliar faces of kins that I've never met at the wake of my favorite Uncle. Even hearing the older kins reminiscing their childhood times with my favorite Uncle can be inspiring.

You see inspiration in everything. I see inspiration in everything and I am eager to share. Sharing is an important groundwork to sustain our inspiration. It can draw up more inspirations and motivates us act ... to take the next step towards achieving what we want.

If you really think about it, inspirations are like an energy force ... you will feel re-energized, your life batteries re-charged and your determination renewed. All these results in the expansion of your positive energy to attract more of the things you want in life. Here's where the law of attraction starts to work in your favor!

Be inspired and pump-up the volume for more abundance in your life!

Affirmation of the Week ...

I am not going to change a thing about me but only strive to improve on getting rid whatever nagging fears that are still sabotaging myself. I have no regrets of who I was and today I love who I have become and tomorrow I will love myself more for the better person I shall become. That's progress!

This is my affirmation for the week ...

A Day With God In My Bubble ...

God rests his soul, a little prayer for my Uncle who passed away two nights' ago of old age;

Dear Father,

We pray for our loved ones who have left this earthly world,
that they will find everlasting peace in the heavenly kingdom which You promised.

Lead them out of the valley of darkness
and bring them into the light of Your presence.

We also pray that one day,
we will be reunited with them and dwell in Your house for eternity.

Amen.

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

Having a grateful heart is to celebrate what is good in your life and to look at the world with thankfulness, appreciation and optimism.  Whether you have a little or a lot, the greatest gift to give ourselves is the attitude of gratitude.

Having a grateful heart opens your eyes and ears to what the Universe is trying to tell you and integrating it into your daily life.  With a grateful heart, you won't look at life with scarcity or with fear.  Instead for every situation that permeates your life, you will choose to look at it as abundance-filled that's offering you limitless possibilities.  You have been given a divine gift to choose how you perceive and react to life's challenges.  A grateful heart will guide you to turn things around and celebrate what is right, what is good, what is working, what is beautiful, what is joyful and what is love.

According Belinda Garrison, "Fear grows out of the things we think; it lives in our minds. Compassion grows out of the things we are, and lives in our hearts."  Gratitude awakens compassion, promotes tolerance and imbue love towards a life of tranquility, joy and health.  This is wealth!

This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Come, let's share randomly our thankfulness to life for its abundance that we have been enjoying and all that are to come tomorrow.  My random list of gratitude this week is;

1.  I am grateful that the Lord is guiding and extending me the lighted path in my daily endeavours.
2.  I am grateful to have managed the determination to workout at the gym for 5 straight days this week.
3.  I am grateful to have reactivated my involvement in the recruitment industry.
4.  I am grateful that I have been offered an opportunity to ghostwrite a book.
5.  I am grateful for the remunerations received this week.
6.  I am grateful for a very constructive week altogether.

My Bubble: I Shall Speak My Mind!

I believe my blog is becoming a bore!  What started out enthusiastically to journal and share my self-discovery journey with the law of attraction has reached a plateau.  The enthusiasm seemed to have faded, maybe because it's kinda irrational to only post about positive stuffs in my blog.  C'mon ...  life can't be a bed of roses to blog about all the time!

Challenges do happen, not everyday but sometimes more than what we would have expected.  There's no rose without a thorn.  Yet the truth is ... challenges are good for us, to learn, to grow and to live! There are plenty of goings-on inside my daily bubble that I could have purposefully channeled here.  Yeah, they may not be all moonlight and roses but however bad the experiences may be and whichever way I had reacted should rest as testament to my progress working with the law of attraction.  This had been the original purpose of this blog anyway.

Unfortunately for fear of offending others or being misunderstood, I've swept them under the carpet!  Gosh, look who's being consumed by fear ... a fear of telling it like it is and the fear of being judged.  Well, guilty as charged!  I, Wenny Yap have failed to practised what I preached ... it looks like the self-saboteur is still residing in me!

"We cannot always oblige;
but we can speak obligingly."

-Voltaire-
Enough is enough ... time to move forward!

If I should touch on the nerves of people closer to home, then just as Henry David Thoreau said, "True friendship can afford true knowledge.  It does not depend on darkness and ignorance."

I'd like to think that I have been enough being conscientious and had enough of being taken for granted.  The fearful me must go!  Maybe not this instant but slowly and surely, the hell with what others have to say or think about me.  They are entitled to be offended and get angry as much as I am entitled to my thoughts and my opinions.  My emotional resilience is so much more valuable to me.  As this saying goes, "I am who I am, your approval isn't needed!"

Law Of Attraction: Accelerate It With Good Old Exercise

Everyone exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle. We all know that exercise is good for boosting our metabolism, losing weight and maintaining strong bones. However, does anyone know that exercise can be a great accelerator for the law of attraction?

Researchers from Penn State University in the US found that people who are physically active report greater positive feelings that those who are less active. They reported that moderate to vigorous physical activities can raise your excitement and enthusiasm rather than experiencing the pleasant moods of being satisfied and relaxed.

This is an especially important finding that can go a long way to help you maintain a positive attitude as you work with the law of attraction to achieve what you want. So exactly how does it work?

Exercise causes your body to release certain types of hormones that makes you happy. Top on the list is the endorphins. They are hormones produced by the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus in the vertebrates that are released during vigorous exercise. Endorphins are equivalent to natural pain relievers which can reduce your anxiety and sensitivity to pain. Another hormone produced during exercise is serotonin which is sometimes referred to as the happiness hormone. Serotonin regulates your mood, helps to prevent depression and makes you feel happy. These hormones could easily create euphoria and pain relieve that are stronger than morphine itself. Exercise can also improve poor circulation to make you feel awake, alert and alive. Now the mystery is cleared why people feel so much better and energetic after an all-out strenuous workout.

Based on these findings, it is reasonable to believe that moderate to vigorous exercise can provide a certain level of emotional resilience. Your mental attention is constantly tuned to focus on the positive aspects of all that you are thinking and feeling. This complements the law of attraction that states what you think and feel expands. A principle that is easy to follow as your laughter begets laughter, your joy begets joy and regretfully, your anger begets anger too.

However, most people harbor some unconscious negative attitudes that somehow get in the way for the law of attraction to work for them. Exercise is good to promote changes to your sublimal programming, shifting your mental outlook to the positive and directly increases the effectiveness of the law of attraction.

So if you want to get more out of the law of attraction and the life you desire, it is time to add some exercise to your daily routine. If you think exercise is a chore, then think again. There cannot be any change for not wanting change itself. Just try out an exercise routine for a few weeks and see what it does to you mentally and physically. Take a look at how your life is changing as you begin to enjoy your exercise routines more and more.

Poetry: Window of Life

Window of Life
Written by JRodriguez

I stand before the window of life,
Tall & strong, chin held high.
Stripped of my defences,
Clothed in my pride.
Naked to all,
Revealed to none.

Where new friends come,
And old friends stay
To listen to my tales of
adventure and strife.
While i stand my post
at the window of life.

Faithful to all who come,
Loyal only to myself.
Unmindful of curious glances,
Oblivious to lustful looks.
I continue my vigil
at the window of life.

My reflection of warmth,
My protection from the cold.
My gateway to the world,
My shelter from the storm.
The window of life.
