My Bubble: The Most Beautiful Thing ... Can I Do It?

From more than 6 months of available time to train for this event, it has now drawn so much closer with less than 2 months left to train.  The trepidation is fast creeping in and I am now left with this uncertainty whether I can complete this challenge come September.

The Most Beautiful Thing 50km Ultratrail
I have never done a full marathon while the longest race I've ever done was a mere 12km.   So far my training has only encompassed the distance of 21km with a snail pace of 5 hours to complete.  Will I be able to complete ahead of the qualifying time of 15 hours for 50km?  Seemed doable yet the anxiety is draining the confidence.

What have I gotten myself into?  What am I doing this for?  I'm asking myself more frequently as the day draws closer and closer.  Need to work out something to psycho myself into believing the possibility!

Poetry: Shun Delays!

"My evil genius Procrastination has whispered me to tarry 'til a more convenient season." ~ Mary Todd Lincoln.

I guess I have been fooling myself by busying myself with other stuffs.  At the end, it simply meant I am procrastinating to get entries posted in my blog.   I'd like to share this poem which shall keep me reminded that time waits for no one.  It is time to shun any further delays!

Shun Delays!
by Robert Southwell

Shun delays, they breed remorse;
Take thy time, while time is lent thee;
Creeping snail’s have weakest force;
Fly their fault, lest thou repent thee;
Good is best when soonest wrought,
Ling’ring labours come to naught.
Hoist tip sail while gale doth last,
Tide and wind stay no man’s pleasure;
Seek not time, when time is past,
Sober speed is wisdom’s leisure,
After-wits are dearly bought,
Let thy fore-wit guide thy thought.
