My Bubble: Time Flies ...

It's Christmas today and in just a week's time the year wraps up with the new year beckoning.  Time really flies.

It felt like only yesterday when I carried my year-old nephew in my arms but last weekend the entire family celebrated his proud moment ... his wedding.  I just had to shake my head as to how 30 years could just passed by so quickly?

While my nephew begins his day as a family man, a couple of friends celebrated their silver wedding anniversary yesterday.  With a quick count on my fingers, looks like lo kong and I are just 2 years shy of the silver anniversary.  Where did all the years go?  Actually, it is not so much where the years had gone but more so what had I accomplished along these years.

2013 soon bids farewell to us and everyone will excitedly welcome 2014 with new resolutions and goals.  Before I can move forward with new resolutions and goals, I will need to evaluate the milestones that I've managed to reach.  Even if I've not ... why didn't I?

This year had been a year of many distractions and many detractions but none can be deemed to be a setback in my quest for a lifelong change towards living life more deliberately.  The distractions shifted my attention in order that detractions could bring new opportunities to help me in my personal development as well as monetarily.

In a quick sum, my gratitude list certainly looks more than I had hope for;

1.  I did my first 21 kilometre trail run in my hometown.
2.  I took up cycling and am a proud owner of a Boardman SLR9.0 carbon road bike.
3.  I did my first in the sprint category of the Powerman Malaysia duathlon.
4.  I attempted a 50 kilometre ultra-trail marathon in Kota Kinabalu.
5.  I attempted to scuba-dive and I've decided it is against my best interest.
6.  I just signed up for a new money-making project.

Life's been good ... so there's really nothing to complain about.  I'm hoping to accomplish all that I've failed to achieve this year to the following year.
