My Bubble: Thank God They're Alright!

Should I bring along my handphone?  Yes ... No ... Yes ... No ... never mind, it's just an hour's jog and I don't want the extra bulk. I'll be back in no time anyway!

Unknowingly, Ray, Nick and Cheryl were frantically looking for me. They had called and called and subsequently, Cheryl even drove to my house to look for me ... but I was not in. That was between 5.15 to 5.30pm and I finally reached home at 5.55pm.

After my warm-down, I went to prepare and cook dinner for tonight. It did not cross my mind to go upstairs and check my handphone for any missed calls or messages. Shortly after I was done cooking, I could hear Ray driving into the porch and was kinda surprised to hear Nick's voice too. Not thinking too much, I'd given that they had reached home at the same time until Ray entered the kitchen and exclaimed;

"He'd skidded just now.  Banged an embankment.
Need to go to the police station to make police report after dinner."

I was shocked but quickly recovered my composure. Nick's car had skidded and banged into the pavement in Subang Jaya, somewhere near Summit USJ. Two of his friends were with him. The front right portion of the car was badly damaged, the radiator gone and a tow-truck had towed it to the police station. Luckily, Ray who had been on his way home was driving close-by when the accident happened.

Right at this moment, Ray and Nick are still at the police station finalizing the police report in order to claim the insurance for repairs. I hope there should not be any problem for Nick since he's still a probationary driver. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Whatever the damages suffered on the car, the anticipated cost to repair and the inconveniences, I'm so relieved that Nick and his friends are alright. Thank God!

Nick seems alittle shakened from the experience but I know he'll be fine. He's a strong young man and judging from today's incident, he has handled the situation very well. I'm so proud of him!

Life is a succession of moments.
To live each one is to succeed.

3 Bubbles:

gosh! i know how you must feel, so is nick... been in both situation. its not about the car... as long as he and his friend is ok. just remember not to scold him for careless driving or any sort... they normally would learnt their lesson by now (happened to sis, she cried non-stop worried my dad would scold her, very kesian). anyway, who wants to be in an accident right.... i hope everything will be ok.

Thank GOD that Nick & his friends are alright.

Wow, this was scary to read. Best of luck, k! Must be pretty shocking for Nick, but hope he'll recover and calm down.
