I am grateful to be constantly reminded!

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

It is almost the end of the day in about 2 hours' time and I finally managed to gather my thoughts together for the week. It has somehow been hijacked by my temper that still needs a fair bit of wrangling in. I blew my top twice this week and the latest being this afternoon when I shot at lo kong! Haizzz ... it just rocks my whole equilibrium whenever I lose it. I will have to clear the air later with lo kong after he returns from the Shape Run that's being held at Putrajaya tonight.

Anyhow, gratitude is a great reminder not to take people, things and situations for granted. I am grateful that there is constantly an inner voice that reminds me to practise restraint the best I can.  I am guilty of taking lo kong for granted and today is one fine example. There's just no excuse to lose my temper no matter what!  In the quietness of my solitude, I make this my prayer of thanks for the people who play an important part in my life each day, especially for my lo kong and son;

God of Love,
I thank You for the people in my life
who are easy to love.
I thank You for my family and friends
who understand my actions,
who support me in my decisions,
and whose presence can lift the burden of a thorny day.

Help me with those who are difficult to love.
When they come at me with criticism
and wild expectations,
when they ignore me
or try to bend me to their will,
let me recognize their flaws and their dangers.
But then let me remember Your attitude towards them,
and lead me to see them
in the light of Your love.

Amen.

Just Laughs: E-Mail Errors...

It's wise to remember how easily this wonderful technology can be misused, sometimes unintentionally, with serious consequences.

Consider the case of the Illinois man who left the snow-filled streets of Chicago for a vacation in Florida. His wife was on a business trip and was planning to meet him there the next day.  When he reached his hotel, he decided to send his wife a quicke-mail. Unable to find the scrap of paper on which he had written her e-mail address, he did his best to type it in from memory.

Unfortunately, he missed one letter, and his note was directed instead to an elderly preacher's wife, whose husband had passed away only the day before. When the grieving widow checked her e-mail, she took one look at the monitor, let out a piercing scream, and fell to the floor in a dead faint.

At the sound, her family rushed into the room and saw this note on the screen:

"Dearest Wife,
Just got checked in. Everything prepared for your arrival tomorrow.
PS. Sure is hot down here."

My Bubble: A Mother's Prayer

Today marks the final day of my son's exam in his pursuit of a Diploma in Business Computing at KDU University College. After two years and four months of nudging and cajoling, anxious concerns intertwined with frustrations, he will be completing his diploma studies in a few day's time and proceed with his internship ... I now breathe a sigh of relief! Come next week, he will be attending several job interviews for his professional placement and I pray he will do well.

Throughout the past year, I am thankful that he has grown in maturity. No more is he the struggling teenager with moody swings and rebellion, though I now understand it is just his normal teenage response to distant himself from parental controls. Today, he is the young adult who is taking definitive steps to navigate towards his independence and I am very proud of his accomplishments thus far! I pray he continues to carry a clarity of his limitless potential.

Though a mother's apron strings have yet to be fully untied, I know my son is a man-in-the-making and he has certainly begin to earn my respect each day. In fact, I am so blessed that he has gradually stepped into the shoes of the best friend I could ever asked for.

For my one and only dearest son, this is every Mother's Prayer as is mine for you.

A Note Of Awareness #4

The law of attraction needs a clean and clear space to create the right climate for it to work!

Before you can be ready to manifest and receive whatever you want to bring forth into your life, you need to de-clutter, remove and clean up to make room for them. Clutters impede and block your energy flow that is attracting the goods things.

The age old Chinese Fengshui emphasizes on uncluttered spaces and an art of placements to attract all the right energy. You can apply its principle to enhance your deliberate attraction for health, wealth and prosperity!

My Bubble: I Hit 40000 Plus PR3!

Mutterings of discontent ... grumbles ... disappointed and demotivated! After a few days, I decided it doesn't matter actually. It's just a ranking! What's more important is that I don't lose the intention, focus and direction that started me on blogging in the first place.

Again, today I observed the proof that the Universe has orchestrated and the return my page ranking to 3 as my blog hit 40000 pageviews.

As long as I have faith in whatever I am doing and trust my intuition, I know my blog will grow further according to what the Universe has in mind for me.

Law Of Attraction: Parenting Is No Exception!

It is a joyous occasion for every parent to bring a child into the world. Whether it is knowingly or otherwise, the law of attraction was at work when their desire to cradle a little bundle of joy in their arms became a reality.

The wonderful experience of a new addition to the family comes with an endless list of responsibilities that you will have to bear to keep your child nurtured, safe and protected. Being a parent is a full-time commitment and there are no hard and fast rules to being the perfect parent. Stepping into the shoes of a parent automatically default you as the role model for your child. However, it is undeniably true that there are many parents who feel inadequate about their ability to lead their children. They developed fears that their children will experience the same sort of difficulties they have had. They worry about their children’s survival in the ever growing competitive world of today. They are anxious over their children’s safety and some even harbor the guilt of not being able to spend the most quality time with their children due to work commitments and their own pursuits for personal success. These are perfectly understandable reactions from most parents.

In this regard, how does the law of attraction fit into the picture? How can it have any bearing over your way of parenting?

If you have an understanding for the law of attraction, you will already know that it can be applicable to anything that you want to experience in your life. Parenting is no exception. You know you want to give your child the best start in life and as a parent’s love knows no bounds, you will strived to educate, protect, motivate and facilitate your child’s development towards independence. You also know that it will be in the least interest of your child if you focus on those things that you do not want for him or her. Harboring those fears breed emotional confusion that generally expects the worst outcome to happen. It disrupts your rational thinking to make the right decisions towards your child’s future development.

The simple solution that the law of attraction can offer you is to help you regain the control over your emotions and allow you to stay positively connected with your child throughout his or her growing years. Regaining an emotional balance, you can decide what you want to think and how you want to react that will lead to the positive outcomes for your child.

As a parent you are entitled to a stamp of authority which you should not be afraid to use wisely. Sometimes it renders you unpopular to your child but remember your love is your essence. You need to do what you have to do as a parent without fear of the repercussions. If your child does something against what you have taught, you must show him or her that it is not acceptable while you are forgiving and still love him or her no less. Communication is the key here and letting them know why certain things may not be acceptable is important.

As your child grows to be more independent, allow him or her a little more freedom to experience life and guide your child along the concept of the law of attraction. Show your child how it is working in his or her life at the moment. It will help to encourage your child to model himself or herself after you, the strong and loving parent who applies and enjoys many positive benefits through the law of attraction.

My Bubble: Gold On The Rise!

Did you know that the price of gold is on the rise?

It has been many years since I had bought any gold jewelleries for myself. Then I had only paid less than RM100 per gram for those 916 gold. Last year however, I had decided to purchase a gold wedding gift for a relative. There was really no describing my level of surprise. By then the price of 916 gold had already rose to about RM138 per gram while the 999 gold was selling at about RM146 per gram. Imagine how much I had to pay for the gift that weighed about 8gm.

Wow! I certainly hope my maths is working correctly because if I have evaluated correctly, some my gold jewelleries would have doubled in value while some may have even tripled! In order not to take any chances, I have decided not to wear any jewelleries on me these days. They have now been placed in safe-custody at the bank.

As far as my experience with gold is concern, I have not known its value to ever dropped but had been always on the rise. Today the price of the 916 gold has risen to RM167 per gram while the 999 gold is going for RM177 per gram.

Bearing this in mind, would it make a good investment reason to buy bullion or the gold bullion now? One thing's for sure, gold offers a secure value. Reading up on some investment guide on bullion, these are some of the advantages of investing in gold;
  • Gold is easy to invest.
  • Gold is the most liquid asset.
  • Gold diversifies your portfolio by helping to offset market fluctuations and reduce volatility.

My Bubble: What's My Scorecard To-date?

It’s nearing the end of the 7th month for 2011 and it's about time to review my balance scorecard for the year's resolution. How have I fared thus far? One eye shut, my gut feeling is pretty happy so far with the prospects and gains.

While successful accomplishment is the ultimate desire, it is not far more important than the wisdom gained from the struggle through our belief, efforts and perseverance. Sometimes the accomplishment is slow but our faith in ourselves and the Infinite Being can surely bring the unexpected results that are far better than we had expected for ourselves. Always bear in mind that;

“The important work of moving the world forward does not wait to be done by perfect men.”
~ George Eliot, an English novelist (1819-1880).

I never claimed to be perfect in all my thoughts, emotions and doings but I know I am constantly learning with clarity and commitment. As at today, I have seen the proofs that the Universe has delivered to me and I know in due time, perseverance will show proofs of more abundance to come.

1. I am continually growing with God.
2. I am more accepting and less expectant ... I’ve learned to close the other eye!
3. I share and share endlessly … I am sure I make a difference!
4. Whatever I undertake, I do the best I can!
5. Eat right and break my sweet-tooth ... I am still weak but I know I will nip it!
6. The fight continues to say 'No' to junk-food!
7. I am confident I am no couch potato and some TV time does relieve stress!
8. Stop bullying ♥ 'lo kong' ... from a scale of 0-10, I should think it is ‘NIL!’

Unfortunately, I forget at times and was kicked into reality by the triggered pain! OUCHHH!!!

My random list gratitude for the week are;

2. I am thankful that the wounds are healing accordingly.
3. I am grateful for all the well wishes from friends and kins for my speedy recovery.
4. I am grateful for the lending hands from lo kong and son around the house.

Law Of Attraction: Manifesting A Better Health

Every time everyone talks about the law of attraction, money is always the first thing that comes to mind. Of course, that’s the ultimate goal for everyone including myself … to attain financial freedom. Many equate financial freedom to happiness which may be true according to their respective interpretation. However, when you truly understand the interaction between money and this universal law, you will realize that this focus can lead to changes that may not necessarily equate to happiness. Poor thinking and poor practices can lead to manifestations that backfire!

In order for the law of attraction to work for you, it is good to remember a crucial key which is an appreciation for your present state of abundance. A thankfulness for all the blessings that are already in your life which interprets into the realization that there is actually nothing lacking at all but instead a welcome state for more abundance. With an attitude for gratitude, you are aligning your positive feeling into harmony with the Universe.

In gratitude, you realize that money is important, but not more important than your health. A continuing state of health in the pink is a state of freedom that is immeasurable to anything else you would want look forward to experience in your life.

Now you may begin to question, “Is it possible to manifest the level of health that you want using the law of attraction?”

The principles of the law of attraction are applicable to anything you want to bring forth into your life and it does make sense in leading you down the path of good health. You can use it just the way you would apply to manifesting financial freedom by removing the fears and expectation of illnesses that surround you. You know that the Universe sends back to you whatever you send out in your focused thoughts that are strengthened by your emotions.

Good health is a natural state of your body. Believing this becomes your reality but when you allow your body to be overcome with stress, fatigue and over-indulgence, your vitality becomes your own victim. Drained of all energy, your thoughts are weakened into feeling unwell, depleted and beaten. During these challenged state, your thoughts and emotions are easily hijacked to trigger the negative physiological responses in your body. Believing them to be irreversible or incurable will soon become your reality too!

Change your belief system to return your mindset and emotions that attracts good health. Be grateful for every little improvement you noticed in your everyday health as you regain the power to repel the negative thoughts. Your belief system is a powerful tool that can help you to regain your health and vitality. There are no guarantees that you will never fall sick or suffer from an illness but it is important to believe that you deserve good health and complementing with the necessary measures to maintain a positive balance can make it happen.

Being conscious of your own ability to manifest a better health, you can create deliberate acts to ensure your body generates the positive physiological responses by starting on the following steps;

1. Identify the state of good health you want: Understanding the law of attraction, you know you will need to determine what good health is in your mind. If you are intent on losing weight as part of regaining your health, define how much weight you want to lose and the time frame. If you are looking to repair your general health, define the goal you are looking for. Even if you seek the prevention of a hereditary condition, define what you are looking for.

2. Focus on your desired state of good health: Always remember to focus on your end result … the state of where you want to be and not where you are or how you are getting from now to then. Free yourself from being methodical and trust the Universe to guide you.

3. Take inspired action to achieve good health: This is the most common statement that involves the process of self-improvement. Well, your desire to maintain or attain good health is very much a part of self-improvement. For the law of attraction to work for you, this is a necessary part of the process. Allowing the Universe to take its course, the solutions will be lined up for you and it is up to you to take the actions you are inspired to do. It could be a new exercise regime, a new eating habit, quit smoking, follow a prescribed list of medication or undergo a certain corrective surgery.

The power to turn your health around is in your hands. You decide what you want, focus, take the necessary actions and let the Universe show you the way to a healthy happy life!

A Note Of Awareness #3

The law of attraction is not wishful thinking. If your wish is just a momentary flight of fancy, then it is not a strong intention!

First and foremost, you have got to believe that anything is possible. The law of attraction is unbiased. It works for all irrespective of your gender, race, religion or social standing. It does not judge you according to your thoughts or emotions. It merely responds to your clearest thoughts and your emotions that strengthen them as intentions.

Imagine the Universe as your mirror and you see all your intentions in the mirror. They are just waiting for you to attract them into your reality. All you need is to change your mindset!

My Bubble: Is The Trigger Finally Uncocked?

It is the final alternative ... 9 months after the first try with steroid injection failed, though the relapse did not return at the anticipated 6th month. When I went in to see the specialist again, I had intended to go for the jab again eventhough I knew a surgery was quite inevitable to get rid of the problem.

I guess it was denial of the inevitable but my doc was firm! "No point going for the jab, you've tried and it's back!" he said and the operating theatre was booked for the following Monday at 2.15pm.

Yesterday, I checked in to the hospital at 12 noon as required.   A slight anxiety sets in but a constant talk with the Big One help alot, especially after reading the release form for general anaesthesia! Imagine the possibility of still being awake despite going under or waking up with a blood clot in the leg or suffering an epileptic seizure ... urghhh! Anyway, the anesthesiologist was very assuring.

Then just as she finished inserting the intravenous connection on my hand at 2.15pm, there was a 'code blue' announcement over the pa system and she sprinted off while leaving instructions to the nurses. I was finally wheeled into the operating theatre at 2.40pm. When I awoke, I saw the clock showing 3.30pm. My hand was numb and the paresthesia was kinda worrying. It took another half-an-hour before the grogginess wear off.

Finally, the numbness and paresthesia is wearing off as I type here [*with my left hand, in case you are wondering*] ... more than 24 hours later. Now some twitching pains sets in ... arghhh!

Will this be a permanent end to my trigger finger?

Since I was under general anaesthesia, my doc also added a local corticosteroids jab to my right heel to help elevate the extreme pain due to plantar fasciitis. This will be the first and the last because I wouldn't want to risk any rupture of my plantar fascia. In order to prevent the pain from returning too soon, I've got to look for orthotic aids like the heel pads and inner soles.

Haizzz ... senescence is continuous and sometimes complex but inevitable! However, let's not suffer from Gerontophobia ... the fear of growing old!

Just Laughs: New On The Job

The new manager walks into his office and, while settling into his new desk, finds 4 envelopes. On one he finds the words 'open me first,' and the other three are numbered 1 to 3.

He opens the first envelope and finds a letter from his predecessor saying:' These three envelopes will save you a world of trouble. In case of emergency, please open these envelopes in sequential order; envelope one first, envelope two second, and envelope three third.'

The manager shrugs, puts the envelopes back, and forgets about them.

Six months later, the workers go on strike. The company closes, and is losing money fast.

After a long night negotiating with the union, he remembers the 3 envelopes. So he opens the first one and it says: 'Blame me, your predecessor for everything'.

Wonderful idea he thinks, and indeed it works and the crisis comes to its end. His job is saved, and everybody's happy.

A few month later, another strike hits. He goes to the drawer and opens the second envelope. It reads, 'Blame the government for everything'.

It works like a charm, and he breathes a sigh of relief as his job is, once again, saved.

A month later the workers declare another strike. The manager goes directly to the third envelope and it reads, 'Prepare 4 new envelopes'

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

Our blessings are not just out there. It is everywhere ... in us, around us and of course, somewhere in the near distance. Can you see it? If you don't see it, doesn't mean it is not there. Can you feel it then?

While we face our daily grind, sometimes the going gets tough that it seemed impossible to just flip the switch and feel the appreciation for life's offerings. Being aware and realizing that everything happens for a good reason is sufficiently a good start.

1. I am grateful for a week of peaceful contemplation ... I feel balanced.

2. I am grateful for the strength of others that has inspire me to maintain my positivity.

3. I am grateful for the weather of my choice ... cloudy skies and cool breeze.

4. I am grateful I've regain my nightly power sleep ... the night owl has gone into hibernation for the time being.

5. I am grateful for the continuous flow of abundance and opportunities throughout the week.

A Note Of Awareness #2

The law of attraction emphasizes on your conscious and intensely focused thoughts … it’s an art of deliberate creation!

Anyone can use it. You can use the law of attraction to deliberately create what you want to call forth into your life. Use your imagination to create a blue-print of the map that will keep you on the right direction as you get closer and closer to your destination … your goal.

Let go of the negatives by changing your perspective for all the bad experiences in your life. Re-energise your deliberate creation by focusing your thoughts on what you want and not what you already have. Focus on where you want to go and not where you already are.

Remember, what you think makes a lot of difference!

My Bubble: I Am Too Slow To Learn The Game!

I've been to Genting Highlands so many times and I've followed lo kong to the casino often. I've watched him gambled at the Roulette, Blackjack and Poker tables many times over but yet I still don't understand how to play the game. And the silence around the table while the game is in progress is certainly no place to pose any curious questions.

I just don't understand. Teach me anything, I'd probably learned pretty quickly but when it comes to these gambling games, I don't seem to get it! Lo kong has even given up teaching me the tricks of the games.

Recently, lo kong bought the iPad2 and downloaded some free online casino games. All his three favorites have been downloaded. Unfortunately due to his busy work and running schedules, he hasn't got much time to fiddle with his new iPad, what more to play those games. So guess who is making full use of his iPad?

During my sleepless nights, when I turn into a night owl, I'll try out these games he downloaded. They looked so straight-forward with step-by-step tutorials, the ins and outs of the game rules as well as the advanced game strategies that are provided.

They say ‘great gamblers aren’t born but made.” I don’t think these games can make a gambler out me. Somehow, I have tried for the past one month and I still have not progress anywhere pass the first level for any one of them. However with that said, I would like to think that I fair slightly better at Roulette.

My Bubble: It's Scary Ahead?

When my late Mom was at my age, I've never heard her complained once about any of the symptoms of menopause.  Perhaps then I might be alittle too young to fully comprehend what menopause is all about but from the memories inplanted through the eyes of a 10-year-old then, I remembered she walked through her daily life without any moodiness, outbursts or depression. Being the sole disciplinarian at home, all her angry outbursts were of course well justified by my childhood naughtiness and stubbornness.

Today, there are so many contradicting literature about menopause that it is making this life-changing phase of a woman's life seem so frightful. There are plenty written about the effects of this downhill transition but are they supposed to help women cope better or just to scare us into buying the varying remedies and treatments.

During my Mom's time, there were no advices for supplements or HRT therapy but all the same, she survived to be 71. Unfortunately, she did not survived cancer. She had made it look so simple embracing old age ... no fear of any physical or psychological changes. Is it because of her ignorance? Then, perhaps ignorance is bliss.

Why has menopause become such a big issue today than it was during our mother and grandmother's time? Why can't it be as simple as their time?

Just because more had been written about it and more women are educated these to know more about it, we have developed a dread towards the natural progression of a woman's body. We see the life left after menopause as sexless, unproductive and dependent. We associate menopause with death.

I am guilty of harboring those same fears. Can life after menopause be really so scary?

Law Of Attraction: Unleashed It Or Lose It!

The law of attraction has been in existence since ancient times. It has been traced back to ancient Egyptians and Babylonians in the writings of the Pharoah Akhenaton. It had been mentioned in the Jewish Kabala, the Bible, Buddhism and even in the sacred scriptures of Hinduism. But then, they do not call it the law of attraction as we do in our time today.

Alternatively, there are many other ways that the law of attraction has been akin to, like positive thinking, mental science, divine science, metaphysics and so forth. At the end of the day, their basic concept remains the same which advocates that the successful manifestation of our needs and endeavors lie within us … within our subconscious mind.

According to Ralph Waldo Emerson, “What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us. And when we bring what is within us out into the world, miracles happen.”

Our most powerful ally to attaining success in whatever we choose to do is hidden within us and its power is infinite. When we tap into the vast intelligence and the creative power of our subconscious mind, we can effectively attract into our experience all the things that we look forward to. Losing it is easy but unleashing it, we will come to enjoy abundant wealth, radiant health, joy and happiness, dynamic relationships and a peace of mind.

The law of attraction might seem to be magical but in reality there is no magic at all. Whatever opportunities that are coming into our life are due to our own doing. We have use the power of our subconscious mind to make the law of attraction manifest the good results according to what we have communicated to it.

A multi-million dollar industry has been into existence in recent years because they introduced tons of proprietary techniques and tools targeted to help many who are searching for ways to tap into their hidden power. But are they really necessary?

Our subconscious mind is what made us and there’s practically nothing and no one standing in between. We don’t need to pay for any special techniques or tools just to connect with our subconscious mind that is already with us all the time. Moreover, whatever guarantees them to work depends solely on the same that can force them to fail and that’s us!

The world-renowned success coach, Brian Tracy said, “Once the goals are programmed into the subconscious mind, it will take a power of its own to achieve the goals automatically." We are the only guarantee that can unleash that power of our subconscious mind with the clarity of our desire and our burning desire to achieve that goal.

Remember, the law of attraction’s basic principle of ‘like attracts like’. Clarity enables focus and the burning desire provides the positivity. When we have tapped into that powerful resource within us, we will automatically be responsible for attracting things into our life.

The choice is ours! Choose now to unleash our power to achieve our goals or we can just lose it and remain unknowing of what we are actually capable of!

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

A beautiful week ... amazing days of re-discoveries and re-invention. Just as John Addison said, "You've got to win in your mind before you win in your life!" I have re-learned to be at ease with my circumstances because my mind has grown calmer.

  • I am thankful that everything is getting better everyday!

  • I am thankful that my thoughts are under my control!

  • I am thankful that I can change as I learn from my mistakes!

  • I thank the Lord that my eyes are opened again and guided to live in the quiet and joyous expectation of good.

  • "Success lies, not in achieving what you aim at, but in aiming at what you ought to achieve, and pressing forward, sure of achievement here, or if not here, hereafter."

    A Note Of Awareness #1

The law of attraction can bring you what you do and don't want ... so either you use it or you lose it!

You can either choose to while away your thoughts in daydreams or you can choose to use your imagination to create the life that you dream of. Whatever your mind focuses on most of the time, the law of attraction will deliver to you. Thoughts can be emotionally charged as you become enthusiastic and excited over the possibility of achieving something that you believe you deserved. Knowing what you want and wanting it badly, you will find ways to speed up getting what you want. You plan and soon enough your inspired actions take over.

There are limitless possibilities out there and achieving them starts with you!

My Bubble: The Arrival Of Peri-Menopause!

    What is peri-menopause?

Peri-menopause is what some people call "being in menopause" or "going through menopause." It is the time leading up to menopause when you start to notice menopause-related changes. Menopause marks the end of a woman's reproductive years which commonly starts from the age of 55 onwards.

Well, my signals are here! My reproductive system has started its own shutdown process as I fit right inside the common age bracket of 45-55 years. Peri-menopausal symptoms can differ from one woman to another but in general, the arrival of peri-menopause includes a variety of uncomfortable changes such as irregular menses, hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, mood swings and heart palpitations.

Since I've undergone an hysterectomy several years back, I can't really rely on my menses anymore to provide an indicator of my body's changing phase to end my womanhood ... the loss of fertility, the loss of youth and the loss of inner vitality.

Does this mean it's a downhill journey for me? Should I accept it as every woman's dreaded curse and accept physical decline, mental deterioration and assume my lack of social worth?

I am conscious about the peri-menopausal symptoms I'm experiencing now and there's no denying that I am anxious about the scale of discomfort and health complications on the onset of menopause. However, I do realised this is something that I can't run away from. Whether I like it of not, I will have to endure through it!

    To all women who are redefining their womanhood today, let's make the best of this inevitable call from nature and embrace the new era in our life by keeping in mind what health experts have continually advised us;

    1. Tend to our Body: Pay attention to the needs of our physical body. Get enough rest and relaxation. Pamper ourself and show our body love. Maintain our health through exercise and proper nutrition.

    2. Tend to our Mind: Menopause is not the beginning of mental decline. Instead, it is a time to expand our knowledge and embrace new ideas. Reflect on our past and acknowledge our emotions. Read books, magazines, and newspapers to absorb new information.

    3. Tend to our Spirit: Menopause is a time for spiritual growth. Try meditation to get in touch with the inner-self. Take up our spiritual beliefs and nurture our spiritual health.

"At menopause, everyone around you is freezing cold but you have your personal fan turned on to turbo cool!"

Law Of Attraction: Don’t Be Robbed By Being Judgmental

When people are happy, healthy and abundant, not necessarily in the monetary sense, they are the ones whom we can identify as having attained the true fulfillment and success in their lives. Kindness, generosity, selflessness, honesty, optimism and positivity are all packaged in them … they are the nice people who have been rewarded with the abundance of life for not being judgmental of anyone or anything or any situation. They are flexible and balanced in their thoughts and emotions.

Remember, the ‘like attracts like’ concept in the law of attraction. Be nice to others and in return, you will attract the same. The lesser we are at being judgmental of others, the more content-balanced people we will attract into our lives to help us attain the abundance in life.

Science has proven that our brains pay more attention to the negative. We tend to emphasize on the bad and accumulate negative judgments much more quickly. Allowing ourselves to be judgmental, making comparisons about whatever we see or hear of others can slow down the effects of the law of attraction on us. Being judgmental cause us to detour from our original focus on what we want and produces the opposite emotional responses that make our energy sluggish.

Sluggish vibes are not going to get us anywhere near what we want. Being a deliberate creator in the law of attraction, our life is a reflection of our predominant thoughts and emotions. It is important that we try to live right, to treat others as you want to be treated and have an attitude of empathy towards others. It is unfortunate that our minds have been conditioned to being judgmental but it does not necessarily mean we have to continue with it. Just being aware about what our mind is up to is a great start to gradually dissolve this mental habit.

Yes, we can live our lives without being judgmental by becoming friendly with the people around us and being open to the situations that surround us. Believe me, if you are a mean, judgmental or ruthless person, the forces of the Universe will eventually return to grab your successes, health or happiness from you. It is in a way how the Universe punishes us for that kind of unacceptable behaviors. We have heard so many times before, whatever goes around comes around! The success, health and happiness we are enjoying are only temporary unless we truly deserved them.

"Money will make you more of what you already are. If you're not a nice person, money’s going to make you a despicable individual. If you're a good person, money’s going to make you a better person." ~ Bob Proctor

My Bubble: Life Is A Funny Thing

Since I did not have any assignments or errands yesterday, I took the opportunity to scour the net for some self-development articles to improve the quality of my thoughts. After reading several, I was so impressed with this particular article, Embrace Life by Chuck Gallozi.

"Life was a funny thing that happened to me on the way to the grave."
    ~ Quentin Crisp

As I read the article, it made me rethink about my own life. It rocked the core of my thoughts over and over again. How many times have I told myself to just let go of the past and live in the present? How many times have I told myself to just let go of the rigidity of living?

My new adaptation to life ... one that I had planned to go along with my early retirement ... to live life in complete randomness! I will do what I want, whenever I want and however I want!!!

I have been receiving some comments that questioned whether I live on what I preached. My only sincere answer is that I am merely human and I try my best. I have achieved some glorious victories in life and I have my pitfalls but I am continually learning. After all, life is all about learning and I am not afraid of learning. I am evolving everyday and no one shall have to bear witness to this life that I am living though they are welcomed to share my experience and my joy. The Lord is my witness and I shall leave it all to His judgement.

"As God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again."

    Just Laughs: The Perfect Gentleman

During a good manners and etiquette class being held for young children, the teacher says to her students:

"If you were courting a well educated young girl from a prominent family and during a dinner for two you needed to go to the toilet, what would you say to her?"

Mike replies: "Wait a minute, I'm going for a piss."

The teacher says: "That would be very rude and improper on your part."

Charlie replies: "I'm sorry I need to go to the toilet, I'll be back in a minute."

The teacher says: "That's much better but to mention the word ''toilet'' during a meal, is unpleasant."

And Little Johnny says: "My dear, please excuse me for a moment. I have to go shake hands with a personal friend, whom, I hope to be able to introduce to you after dinner."

My Bubble: I Am Slacking Here!!!

It was really a big disappointing surprise! I just noticed my pagerank dropped from a 3 to a 2. I have been working hard to keep the postings going on a daily basis in the hope of pushing my pagerank to the next level. Instead it dropped one level ... I guess it must be because I've been slacking on my random ramblings of late. Moreover, I've also not been expanding my outreach to others in the blogosphere. Too complacent ... tsk tsk tsk!!!

Anyway, while googling around on the same matter of pagerank, I found out that Google has recently updated their algorithms, which resulted in some of the inbound links I've been receiving to be worth less. This can happen at times if the sites linking to my blog are no more credible or relevant. Google's algorithms are frequently updated to attempt to avoid link spamming.

Whatever's the real reason, I need to buck-up!

    Random Bubbles ...

    Practicing Gratitude
    © 2007 Corinne McLaughlin

As we approach Thanksgiving Day in the U.S., we remember again the importance of gratitude.  But giving thanks is something we can do daily—not just on a special day. As it’s said, “An attitude of gratitude brings altitude” and lifts our consciousness.  We can get so focused on problems—personal and global—that we forget about all the wonderful things in our lives and in the world. I found that just listing what I was grateful for made me suddenly feel happier. Research shows that just a few minutes of feeling gratitude can calm the nervous system as it creates a resonant state in which the rhythms of the heart, breathing, blood pressure and brain are synchronized. Here is my prayer—what is yours?

    Thank you God for everything!

For the gift of life itself and health and well-being,

For the love and support of my friends and family,

    For the kindness of strangers,

For the natural beauty I see all around me--mountains, rivers, trees,

For the spiritual wisdom I’ve gained from many teachers and books,

For the courage of social activists protecting our rights and our environment,

For the laughter of children reminding me to play more often,

For the strength I’ve gained from difficulties and hardships,

For the opportunities I’ve had to serve and make the world a better place.

Now experience a healing energy returning to you from nature...blessing you...energizing you...

What Am I Grateful This Week ...

A week passed by so quickly. Rounding up the whole week, I'm thankful for the pleasant and constructive days throughout the week.

I'm grateful for the assignments that have continued to provide me an escapism in writing ... there's a sense of achievement amidst the domesticity.

My Bubble: Another Great Idea For My Online Store

I have been scratching my head for a few days now. I've received a new assignment to write a review on some promotional products and I've been really stuck at how to go about doing my assignment.  It was really frustrating as my deadline is drawing near.

Well, no point pushing myself to the edge if the ideas are not dropping in anyhow. So instead of loafing around the house, I decided to go shopping with lo kong.  He needed to get some new working shirts as well as a wind-breaker for our coming trip to New Zealand.  Walk shop walk shop and walk again and the shop ... my feet's really killing me right now.  Come to think about it, it's actually been a long while since we've gone shopping locally unless necessary. We've been doing most of our shopping in HongKong and Singapore of late.

Anyway, while shopping I received a call from Citylink courier service.  Their delivery van is right in-front of my house and I am not even near my neighborhood. What a timing!

My cousin had used my home address to order some personalized food gifts for her office event but we had not been expecting its delivery until tomorrow. Moreover, it is Sunday today. Thankfully, the uncle living next door was around and accepted the package on my behalf.

With my cousin’s permission, I immediately opened the package upon my return just now. The personalized candy jars were see-through tall plastic tubes filled with mixed-colored chocolate littles with screwed-on silver caps. Her company’s logo is rested right on the centre of the tube and made the jars looked expensive. Maybe these personalized gifts items can be considered for my online store that don't seem to get off the ground yet.

Law Of Attraction: Letting Go Of The Excess Baggage

Many people who have heard of the law of attraction are very much interested to use it to manifest their wants, be it a better job, a nice house, a loving partner or perhaps for want of more money. It is important to believe that the law of attraction will definitely work to manifest whatever you want as long as you follow the following simple mathematical formula:

    BELIEVE+ ASK + ALLOW = RECEIVE

However, before you get started to set up the formula to work in your favor, you will have to conduct some housekeeping. Nope, it is not about cleaning your home, though having a clean home would indeed enhance the flow of positivity in you. It is actually a housekeeping you do on yourself in order to clear your thoughts and emotions that may limit you from successfully attracting whatever you want.

Doing a housekeeping on yourself will get rid of all your excess baggage and allow you to start being the person that you truly are. Getting rid of excess baggage simply means freeing the tremendously heavy burden off your shoulder that’s attracting negative emotions such as fear, self-doubt and anger. The law of attraction is all about ‘like attracts like’ and these negativities attract the opposites of what you truly desire.

You can start this housekeeping process by spending some time in reflection to rediscover yourself. Simplest is to make a note of all the self-discoveries as you go along. It can be anything that comes to your mind like how you feel about yourself, assessing your behavioural patterns, evaluating the traumas that are still troubling you as well as where and how you could start to renew your outlook and life goals.

Many people carry around with them all sorts of burdens from the past for so long that it is not unusual for them to cling on to them unconsciously. It has blended into their thoughts and actions that they’ve simply forgotten how to let them go. In order for your thoughts and emotions to flow positively and delivered to the Universe with the right vibrations, you will have to let go of all the excess baggage that’s dragging you down everyday.

In order to release all the unconscious burdens or traumas that have been weighing you down, the following five tips should be able to help you process the notes you made earlier and start on your clean-up.

Accountability: First and foremost, you will have to be accountable for the changes you are going to make in your life. Once you have made that commitment to yourself, do not procrastinate. Stick with it with determination and perseverance. Remember, you are changing for yourself.

Enlist support: If you do not feel the confidence at being accountable to yourself, you can enlist the support of a loved one, friend or mentor who will be your pillar of strength. Let them in on your intention and its importance to you. This person will be able to make you accountable better to yourself because of their concern for you.

Defocus and refocus: There are burdens that simply drain away your energy but you have to learn to shift your focus away from them. If they had not gone away after all this while, they are not going away anytime soon. Stop focusing on the things you can’t change at the moment. You can return to them later when you are more prepared but meanwhile, shift your focus to things that can be easily changed and will keep you motivated.

Love and respect yourself: No matter what shortcomings you’ve discover about yourself, make peace with yourself. Be grateful that you have discovered them now and know that you are worthy of change you have planned for yourself. The love and respect you have for yourself will power you to make the positive changes.

Give yourself time: Remember that you have been conditioned into who and what you are over many years. It takes time to change. So if you begin to feel overwhelmed by the demands you are making on yourself, take a step back and slow down. It would be good to enjoy the housekeeping process in order to appreciate yourself more. There’s no such thing as overnight success here.

If you are intent on making the law of attraction work for you, think about how you can improve your life by making the changes happen. Getting rid of any excess baggage is a good start towards an unhindered subconscious mind and giving it a fresh list of instructions. You are telling your subconscious mind that you are ready to move forward to a positive stage in your life. So start letting go today and start living a better and happier life!
