Lo Kong and I have been here since yesterday morning and we spent the night at the All Seasons Auckland. We've just checked out and heading to the Byron on Spencer Hotel in North Shore. I've booked for a 2 nights' stay there as Lo Kong will running in the local full marathon held tomorrow morning.
I am grateful for the sumptuous lunch we had at the Plaza Premium Lounge in KLIA followed by a comfortable 10-hour flight on Jetstar Airways to get here. Upon arrival, we took a 45-minutes ride on the Airbus Express from the airport to the city which cost NZ$16 per person one way. I am grateful that we managed to get a NZ$1 off the fare each with the discount coupons we had pre-printed from their website and the bus stopped just a short walking distance from our hotel.
Our sightseeing practically started the moment we boarded the bus as it meandered its routes into the city. Auckland is such a beautiful city and it's the biggest Polynesian city in the world. We have explored the city yesterday and I will update more later on my return.
