What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

Life is full of opportunities for us to give thanks. William A. Ward reminded that "God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say thank you?" Have you seek out any of the opportunities to give thanks today?

At some level, the warm emotional rush when we are thankful for the blessings in our life contributes to our increased energy, optimism, generosity and social connections. Grateful people not only count and take joy in their blessings, but they help to spread the influence of feeling thankful to people around them through their words and deliberate displays of appreciation and happiness. Saying thank you helps others feel good and your attitude of gratitude is a positive vibration that attracts positive people to you in return.

Let's find the opportunities that have been incubating in your mind and heart to be thankful for and start to live in the power of gratefulness.  Here's my random list of gratitude for the week;

1.  I am grateful for God' presence in my daily life.

2.  I am grateful that Nick has completed his final semester in college and hopefully onward bound to undertake his degree at the soonest.

3.  I am grateful to be a member of an outsource writing community led by a professional, friendly and supportive leader.

4.  I am grateful that the sale transaction for one of my property is finally completed after an unforeseen delay of almost a year.

5.  I am grateful that my Air Asia booking to Paris has been transferred and finalized on Malaysia Airlines.  We're off to Paris-London-Zurich in 10 days' time!

6.  I am grateful for my freedom ... the freedom to think, act, speak, write and express whatever that goes on in my head.

Dear blog-friends, have you singled out the things in your day to day activities that can arouse the warm emotional rush of gratitude yet?  If yes, by all means continue with what you are doing.  If not, it is never too late to start your own gratitude habit.

Law Of Attraction: How Much Trust Do You Have In You?

It may not have occurred to you that discovering the law of attraction which has been in existence for ages could be considered a blessing.  Why won’t you agree?  After all, this natural gift from the Universe opens the door to many discoveries about who you really are, where you are at and want to be, how you got here and how to get from here to where you want to be.  It is a God-given tool that you can use to alter your reality and deliberately create unlimited possibilities for yourself.   Now, is this not a blessing?

Unlimited possibilities sound a little hogwash?  Don’t be too rash to jump to conclusion just yet.

There are so many famous self-improvement experts out there who are constantly reminding you of the untapped power that lies within you.  That you are the only person who can make the necessary changes to reach possibilities that you have not even began to imagine.  How can all this be untrue when they are attracting droves of loyal followers living on this ‘unlimited possibilities’ mantras?  It must have been tested and proven that they are able to get to where they are today … famous, rich and doing the things they are passionate about.

Interestingly a majority of people are willing to pay to put their trust in these experts to help them make the changes in their life.  They are making the experts rich and famous but the funny thing is that they are actually paying for the power that is already within them.  Don’t they trust themselves enough to make the change?

If you have discovered the law of attraction, you will know that the first thing you need is to trust yourself.   The most amazing things can happen when you trust yourself 100% all the time.  With that complete trust, you are living without fear, anxieties and discouragement that are the culprits to the doubts in your abilities and potential.  With trust, you will understand what you truly want in life and put your faith in your personal life experiences to tell you what to do.  With trust, you will feel the energy and wisdom from within that inspires you into taking actions.  With trust, you learn to turn mistakes into your advantage.  Everything seemed easier to learn, easier to do and to accomplish.  The truth is that you know yourself better than anyone else and you don’t have to pay the experts for this although you can use their expert advice as a general guide.

Today I do not want to delve into why so much mistrust exists in us but to encourage you to have trust in yourself.  It means to trust your own senses.  Pause and just listen to that voice that’s coming from inside you.  It is your intuition, your gut feeling that stems from your heart.  It is your naturally in-built compass.  As Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe said, “As soon as you trust yourself, you will know how to live!”

The law of attraction is all about a belief system and that is your belief in yourself and your belief in the limitless opportunities that the Universe has prepared for you.  Don’t sell yourself short.  You have to believe that you are as deserving as anyone else to the unlimited possibilities waiting for you out there.  Believe that you are a unique individual and your trust in your own gut feeling will direct you on the right direction to live the life that’s best for you!

My Bubble: An Unfinished Business In Hakone

Like I said yesterday, 5 days in Tokyo is just too short and effectively having only 3 days for sightseeing and some shopping, we had left the must-do trip to Hakone to our last day in the city.  Our flight out of Haneda International Airport was close to midnight which gave sufficient time to go to Hakone and return straight to the airport to catch our flight.

Hakone is about 100km from Tokyo and is a popular destination for the Japanese as well as foreign tourists.  It boasts Mother Nature's natural beauty in abundance from hot springs to warm rivers and lakes to sulphur vapored valleys and mountainous landscapes of fauna and flora.  It is also one of the favorite spots to view the white snow-capped Mount Fuji, the highest mountain in Japan.  Witnessing the majestic beauty first-hand is awe-inspiring that you can in fact define it as sublime.

We had purchased the minimum 2-day Hakone Free Pass by Odakyu Railways at Shinjuku Station for a discounted rate of ¥4100 per person due to the Chinese New Year Promotion.  We had been lucky as the promotion was just one shy of expiring and we would then had to fork out ¥5000 instead.  The Hakone Free Pass is a discount excursion ticket valid for 2 or 3 days depending on your choice and it offers ticket-holders unlimited transportation to and around Hakone.  It is really more economical even if we didn't have 2 days on hand to spend sightseeing there.  We can ride for free on 7 modes of transportation in the area from buses to the cable cars (Hakone Ropeways) and trams apart from the round-trip train ride from Shinjuku Station to Hakone-Yumoto Station via Odawara.  If you opt to take the limited express (bullet) train called Romancecar, there's an additional charge of ¥870 per person but you will definitely reach faster and non-stop into Hakone-Yumoto Station within 85 minutes instead of our 115 minutes.

On arrival into the station, we jumped straight onto the Hakone-Tozan Bus that took us on a 40 minutes ride to Motohakone-ko, one of the 3 points to take the Lake Ashi sightseeing cruise as recommended in the brochure that came with the free pass.  We visited the Hakone-jinja Shrine with its iconic vermilion torii gate standing right in the waters of Lake Ashi.  Witnessing the abundant and large cedar trees lining the parth to the shrine, we immediately abandoned our initial plans to walk the 2km Ancient Cedar Avenue where large cedar trees lined the old Tokaido Highway since 1618.  Well, you see one cedar and you've seen them all.

Although a couple of friends informed us that it snowed the day before when they visited, it was fortunately a bright sunny day with clear skies that day although the gusts of cold winds did make us shiver.  We walked back along the lake edge path to the pier to catch the pirate ship for our 40 minutes cruise.  The sight of Mount Fuji forming the backdrop on the other side of the lake drew many excited oohs and aahs from all the tourists onboard.

We landed at Togendai-ko on the other side of the lake to take the 20 minutes ropeway ride to the hell valley called Owakudani, located 1044 metres above sea-level.  Hiking along the 30 minutes nature trail, you will be treated to doses of volcanic sulphurous fumes and smells.  This place is popular for the Black Egg, a local specialty of hard-boiled eggs in the bubbling hot springs selling at ¥500 for 5.  Our brochure stated we could try at no charge but we didn't find any.  RM20 for 5 hard-boiled eggs ... I don't mind not trying!  Instead we checked out the souvenir shops and enjoyed free unlimited tastings of their wide varieties of mochi, Japanese rice cakes made from glutinous rice with traditional and other funky fillings.

By the time we had enough of Owakudani, it was already passed 1pm and we had not even covered half of Hakone!  As we were supposed to head back to Shinjuku Station no later than 6pm, we sped up our movement a few notches.  But the next stage was not meant for us to complete as recommended.  The 10 minutes ropeway to the next station at Sounxan was closed for maintenance which means we have to backtrack to Togendai-Ko and take the bus on the longer route.  That threw our flow of sightseeing of course  and I don't have that much time to spare in the first place.  As we will have to ride the Hakone-Tozan Train and Hakone-Tozan Cablecar from the opposite direction and faced a number of zig-zagging around, we decide to call it quits.  We hopped on the Hakone-Tozan Bus back to Hakone-Yumoto Station and by the time we caught the train back to Odawara it was already pass 5pm (oh that's because we did a little quick shopping at the station).

Anyway, looks like there is still so much unfinished business in Hakone for us.  We missed the 1.2km scenic panoramic area between Sounzan Station and Gora on the uphill ride on Hakone-Tozan Cablecar.  We also missed visiting the Hakone Gora Park (a French-style rock garden), the unique Hakone Open-Air Muzium (exhibition of various sculptures in open grounds) and several popular Onsen (hot-springs) along that route.  We also failed to ride the Komagatake Ropeway to enjoy the sights at the peak of Mount Komagatake.  Our plans to visit the Odawara Castle Donjon on our return trip to Odawara also did not materialised.  Shoot!!!

Well, looks like we have every reason to make another trip or several trips to Japan. [*wink wink*]  Feel free to check out my collection of photos while we were in Hakone.

A Day With God In My Bubble ...

Today is a beautiful day.  It was a little sunny a short while ago but I love the cloudy sky and gusts of wind outside right now.

Woke up early today expecting to receive my daily dose of assignments but alas ... there must be a plan up there for me to do today other than ghostwriting.  I guess I have been losing focus on my journey in retirement.  I used to raved about doing things at my own pace, my own time, my own space and my own liking but looks like I am falling out of this equation each day.  Don't get me wrong ... I love to write!  It is educational, creative, adventurous and it keeps my mind alert and healthy.  But there are side-effects if it is left  out of control.

As I said before, messages from God comes to me in many odd ways and places.  Sometimes it is on facebook or twitter or the local papers or on my blog.  Today, it's from all channels and He says "Spend this day with Me!"

We all need God in our lives and His encouragement to walk through the roughest and narrowest paths in our daily walks through life.  A lot will happen ... the good the bad and the ugly but have trust in Him and He will come to lead us back on track.  I'd affirmed this week that I know where I am going and Lord, I hear you!  It is time to pull back a little, take stock of the changes and realign myself with my original purpose.

Dear Lord, I know your plans for me are greater than the ones I have for myself.
I worship you for who you are and I appreciate your relentless kindness to me.
Thank you Lord, for having faith in me.

My Bubble: An Expensive Rush In Tokyo!

What is 5 days in Tokyo?  One day is a low-key activity day for energy conservation prior to the next day that has been reserved for the Tokyo International Marathon.  That means I effectively only have 3 days to go about sight-seeing and shopping around this Japanese city.  Conclusion to this equation simply screamed "I don't have enough days in Tokyo!"

Anyway no choice ... the air-tickets are purchased and booked on Air Asia which means changes or cancellation cost extras.  So be it!  I will make the best of my short trip then.

We arrived into Haneda International Airport late at night on 23 Feb and as planned, we slept at the airport since we did not want to waste a full day's rate for a hotel.  To our surprise, there were so many people who are doing the same thing that all the seats and benches on every floor and corner of the airport were taken up.  Some of them even came prepared with pillows and blankets.  Lo kong and I were so surprised!!

Sleeping @ Haneda International

Lo kong managed to sleep for several hours but I did not catch a wink at all on top of the sleepless night I'd gone through the night before.  By the next morning, I've actually gone without sleep for more than 24 hours.  Nothing to fret about since I've gone without sleep for 3 days in row before.

We caught the first Tokyo Monorail out of Haneda at almost 6am, transiting at Tennozu Isle for Kokusai-Tenjijo via the Rinkai Line to get to Tokyo Big Sight where the Tokyo International Marathon Expo is held.  We were extremely early and the extremely windy morning was no help either.  We were chilled to bone even in our thick jackets.  On top of that, the expo won't be opened until 11am.  Lugging our luggage around, we were lucky to be able to sit it out at the McDonald's nearby undisturbed.  After collecting his race kit and checking out the expo, we backtrack the same way to the famous Shinjuku Station.

Despite all the hooha I've heard about the many different subway lines in Tokyo, I find that getting about their system wasn't that difficult at all. But boy, the cheapest fare I'd paid for our rides on their subway and monorails was about ¥190 = RM8 per person.  No doubt travelling a further distance will be more worthwhile but when you have to fork-out ¥590 for two just within the city limits, it is really breaking the pocket quite a bit.  Beware ... getting around in Tokyo is expensive!

The subway system @ Tokyo

By the time we left the expo and check into our hotel located a walking distance away from Shinjuku Station, it was already 5pm in the evening.  They do provide a free shuttle service but we missed it!  Shinjuku New City Hotel looks a bit rundown from the outside but the room does make up for it.  Our double room was clean, spacious and comfortable at their winter offer of about ¥6900.  We fell into a wonderful rejuvenating nap within minutes!

Hhhhaaaauuuwwwnnn ... yawnnn, I'll continue with my rush rush trip and unfinished business to Hakone another day.

Poetry: Intuition by Mary Ann Harrington

Forget tomorrow, remember today
Clashing moments, leading us astray
Engaged in fancies, oft not fulfilled
Lumbering forward, at an awkward tilt
Unmatched visions, separate missions
Discordant rhythms, lumber along
Wandering here, wondering why
Disengaged focus distractions abound
Futile attempts, not on firm ground
What? We ask, without reply
When? We question as time goes by
Who? We muster is in charge
Where? We search deep in side
Why? oh why does it seem so hard
To create symmetry as we move through time
Fluidity of movement on a single path
Where questions are answered based on trust
Being inwardly guided is a must

Note of Awareness #39

Success and happiness can be yours if you just stop and listen to your inner voice. The law of attraction is about control … taking control of your life. How do you know what you truly want and what to do if you don’t even listen to yourself?

There’s a voice that’s coming from inside you. This is called Intuition. When you spend enough time by yourself, exploring deep within you to know yourself better, you will open the door to understand what you truly want in your life and instinctively lead yourself on the path to attaining the reality you want.

"As soon as you trust yourself,
you will know how to live"

~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe ~

The Universe has always provided you with an internal compass but due to the distractions growing through the modernity of everyday life, you have lost the points of directions. Quiet your mind and eliminate the distractions and you will guide yourself to the success and abundance that you are seeking.

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

Yesterday, I got this Message from God through Facebook. He wanted me to know that "if you're feeling stressed, take care of your body. Breathe, stretch, move, get a massage. Your body will thank you and your spirit will feel renewed. God wants us to take care of body, mind, and spirit."

We all know that God works in mysterious ways. Well, He also send his message in mysterious ways ... we just need to open our heart and mind. Indeed the message was timely. Of late I was growing a little stressed out with my assignments while missing out on the routines that I love and enjoy. $$$ shouldn't have to be prioritized ahead our mental and physical health ... $$$ is essential but we need to strike a balance and moderation in order to enjoy every moment in our life and yet remain purposeful and $$$ fruitful.  Since I had some personal errands to run yesterday, I was happy to take the day off from my writing assignments. I did not touch my notebook for the most part of yesterday and as I rise in the morning today;

• I am so grateful for the Message from God!
• I am so grateful for that much deserved break!
• I am so grateful I am recharged!
• I am so grateful that my mind is refreshed!

Many verses in the Bible teach us to be thankful, regardless of circumstances. No matter how unpleasant a situation becomes, it is good to remember that it could always be worse. The more thankful we are, the more there is to be thankful for. Better to stop and take into consideration what and who is truly valuable in one's life. There is always something to be thankful for.

“Better a handful with quietness than both hands full, together with toil and grasping for the wind.” ~ Ecclesiastes 4:6

Law Of Attraction: It’s My Life!

“It’s my life; It’s now or never; I ain’t gonna live forever;
I just wanna live while I’m alive!”

How often had you sung along to the above chorus from one of Bon Jovi’s top 40 hits released more than a decade ago? I bet you’d sung that a thousand times before but how much did you share Jon Bon Jovi’s sentiment that “It’s my life, and I’m taking control!”

It is not a bad message to get across as in reality everyone pretty much feels the same way from time to time. Everyone can relate to that and I mean from everyone from the teenagers to adults to seniors irrespective your gender. Don’t just sing about it but do something about it. It is time to learn how to take control and improve your life in order to get your life closer to how your want it to be. If you haven’t already realized it yet, you would be happy to know that you already have the power and ability in you. At the same time, nature has also prepared a secret weapon for you which many knows it as the law of attraction. All you need to do now is to harness your power and ability using that weapon and wrest the controls to your life.

Everything that you have in your life starts with a little thought in your mind. According to the law of attraction, you attract what you think about the most irrespective good or bad. The more you focus on it the more you are driven into direct or indirect actions that transform your thought into reality. Does it sound simple?

Think about the things you have now and how they come to exist in your life. Isn’t it true they started from a seed in your mind as a thought? Through your constant thinking and rethinking, you build your desperation to have them and that’s your desire. You simply have to desire something badly to become inspired into action with a determination to find ways to obtain them. This is where nature’s gift of the law of attraction will help you steer and control your behavior and actions efficiently and effectively.

Yes, indeed it’s your life! It stops when you stop living. If you intend to remain in it for the long haul and stay happy each step of the way, you cannot afford to be complacent. Many people are not happy about their life and are too complacent to do anything about it. Everyone is given only one shot at life and heck! You had better make the best out of it and live well.

Assisted by the law of attraction, you can start taking over the controls in your life by first making these evaluations about yourself and your current life;

• Define yourself – Know who you really are including your character and attitudes. Acknowledge what you already in your life including your knowledge that helps you decide and your skills that enable you to act correspondingly. How you define yourself will determine the choices that are most important to you and occupy the most of your time and attention.

• Strengths & Weaknesses – Do you know what your strengths are? Do realize where your weaknesses may lay or areas where you may be ignorant about? Evaluating these will give you some clues to where and when you will need help. Learning from mistakes and developing the right mindset and skills will certainly help you take better control of your life.

• Make The Comparisons – Having a clear sight of the gap between where you are now and where you want to be can generate the energy to propel you into actions. Making comparisons can be a great motivator and it is human nature to compare and compete. There is no harm to compare with someone who is already successful in their own right. Seeing clearly where you lack, you can take actions to acquire similar attitudes, skills and knowledge to better your own life.

• Dare To Act – Procrastination is an evil mindset but it can be broken. You can’t plan forever because there is never the perfect time. Develop an action-oriented mindset and convince yourself that you have enough ideas on what needs to be done and do it! You accept whatever resulted from your actions, learn and improve.

A Note Of Awareness #38

Understanding the law of attraction, you know you have an amazing power within your grasps. You can turn your desires into your reality and it is not just wishful thinking as long as they are reasonable. But to activate the power that is within you through the law of attraction does require work, time and patience. So are you ready for the long haul?

That the law of attraction brings opportunities and they don’t always show up in the form of something blissful. If a person is going to ask for courage, they are not going to be given courage, they are going to be given an opportunity to be courageous. Sometimes when you set a goal, instead of attracting piles of money, or great wonderful things, or whatever people expect to attract when they start to live by the principles of this Universal law, a challenge shows up.

Most see challenges as obstacles and the natural thing to do is to turnaround and leave. Remember that the law of attraction brings opportunity to grow and groom you to eventually achieve and receive the things you are asking for. Now ask yourself again, are you in this for the long haul?

Affirmation: I Choose To Be Happy!

It is important to be deliberate in living our life ... to make things happen the way we want it to the best of our ability. I choose to make the most of my life and be happy. I am not going to worry unnecessarily and regret the past but to live in the moment as much as I possibly can.

Random Bubbles ... Authentic Sashimi In Kabukicho!

It has been more than half-a-month since I return from a short trip to Tokyo, Japan. I guess it's still not too late to post something about it.

While lo kong's main mission may be to run in the Tokyo International Marathon, how can we miss the authentic taste of Japanese food while we were there. Since arriving in Tokyo, we have had their ramen after ramen. While we may not be very keen on sushi due to its rice content, we nevertheless tasted some by packing from the supermarket and enjoying them in the comfort of our hotel room. They were as delicious if not better than the ones in our local Japanese restaurants such as Sakae Sushi or Sushi King. However, what we were more keen to savour was the raw meat. We wanted to taste the authentic Japanese sashimi!

That night after the Tokyo International Marathon, we explored around the famous Shinjuku Station looking for one. Without realising how much we have wandered, we found ourselves right in-front of the Seibushinjuku Station. We had walked all the way to nearby Kabukichō, an entertainment and red-light district in Shinjuku. Kabukichō is a location with many hostess bars, host bars, love hotels, shops, restaurants and nightclubs and is often called the "Sleepless Town."

We were very hungry then and just to satiate our empty stomach, we had a quick ramen noodle in extremely thick, milky pork bone soup before continuing with our search. We popped in and out from one shop to another until the fresh seafood display outside a Japanese tavern restaurant caught our attention. There was also a guy standing outside preparing to grill some seafood.

Without much hesitation and a little nudge from the man, we entered the restaurant named Asou, sat down and started to order what we have been search all evening beginning with a bottle of sake. As they knew we were tourists, they immediately handed us a simplified menu in English to place our order. We had santensashi (a mix plate of sashimi) costing ¥2980, a plate of basashi (horse meat) at ¥1600, a small cup of namauni (sea-urchin) at ¥980 and 2 sticks of yakitori at ¥490. While enjoying our food, we added a plate of hamachi (yellow-tail fish) at ¥950 to finish off our bottle of sake. Overall the food was fresh and delectable ... definitely better than I've tasted here locally.

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

Oh my oh my oh my!!! I am in need of 36 or 48 hours in a day or perhaps am I putting too many eggs in my basket?

Time whizzes by in a blink of an eye for me and the truth be told, I think I am losing out on the quality of my work or I've simply been late on several of my routines. I guess my latest law of attraction article on forming positive habits that set my daily paradigm is spot on! I need to tweak my routines in order to be more efficient and effective before the effects of unaccomplished tasks becomes a frustration that affects my positive outlook. Yes, I too can be driven into discouragement just like anyone because I am only human.

However, when you attach an importance on the habit of appreciation in everything that exist in your life, that is to be consistently optimistic in every aspect of life, your brain will be retrain for better positivity. Gratitude is simple and easy and this attitude will set you apart from the majority.

Although I may have my fair share of ups and downs, I choose to find the unexpected in the expected to be thankful for. Here is my random list of gratitude;

1. I am grateful to have discovered the law of attraction and the importance of gratitude.

2. I am grateful for my health and my happiness.

3. I am grateful for my happy family.

4. I am grateful for my travels that allows me to see and experience the world outside mine.

5. I am grateful to have an interest and talent for writing that has helped others known and unknown to me.

6. I am grateful that my blog has reached out to so many people in the blogosphere judging from the pageviews that has since exceeded 120,000.

7. I am grateful for the friends and followers in my social networks that has constantly generate the positive vibes for me.

8. I am grateful for the constant state of my optimism!

Law Of Attraction: It Is All In The Habit!

The law of attraction is about creating your reality that you desire by facing up to your fears in order to eliminate the limiting beliefs hiding within your sub-conscious mind. Learning this Universal law, you have been taught to clearly define your intentions, give it continuous focus and allowing it to happen.

But yet there have been times when what you don’t want continues to manifest even though you try not to focus on them. When that happens, you may begin to lose your faith and motivation. Just because it does not work for you, you believe that the law of attraction is just a hoax!

However, what you don’t realize is that you are still creating what you don’t want because you have yet to kick your negative habits. When learning the law of attraction, you will learn that your habits need attention. Your current habits of thinking, words and behavior set your paradigm. You can’t go about focusing on everything in the positive light while there is still negative habit patterns stuck on you. Unfavorable results will continue to repeat themselves as long as you ignore any negative habits.

Habits whether good or bad are formed through years of conditioning by your parents, friends, teachers and even the environment you live in. Positively, it offers you the routine to organize your life the way you think best. However, sometimes your way of thinking, the choice of your words and your behavior may turn undesirable and become detrimental to your interest in the long run. Negative habits are stumbling blocks and everyone knows that bad habits are resistant to change. After all it has been said over and over again that “old habits die hard!”

If you are hoping to attract the reality you desire, there has to be an adjustment in your life with immediate effect. You need to remove your bad habits and retrain yourself with new positive habits. It is making a conscious effort to change and create positive habits that will lead to you to achieve whatever you want in your life.

Remember what Charles C. Nobel said,
“First we make our habits, then our habits make us!”

Get organized – If you are not an organized person with clutters everywhere, chances are you are also disorganized and cluttered in your mind and emotions. A clean and tidy home or workspace is easier to work in and so does a clear and uncluttered mind.

Develop a system – Observe and determine what daily things you are doing that are hurting you. Perhaps it is about getting to bed half-an-hour earlier in order to get up earlier to make it to the office in time or to enjoy a hearty breakfast before work. A simple everyday routine will ensure consistency and help you focus on the things you want to achieve.

Be in control of yourself – No one knows you better than yourself. Learn to listen to yourself. Learn to say no to things that you don’t want and yes to things that you really want. You’ll be happier with lesser regrets.

Build patience – Habits need at least 3 to 6 weeks to stick. Don’t expect perfection immediately and turn yourself miserable when you miss your routine. Strive harder or tweak your routines periodically as your life changes.

Take small steps – You have your sights set on your desires but jumping straight into action without proper planning to achieve the ultimate result can be overwhelming and discouraging. Break down what you want into stages and take one step at a time towards it. It will be more manageable and as the small steps add up quickly, you will be reaching your ultimate result in no time.

Always bear in mind that it is all in the habit. Positive habits will help you identify the things that are important to you and help you define what you want in your life. It is the good habits that create good time management and get more things done. Most importantly, your positive habits make you feel positively about yourself!

A Note Of Awareness #37

If you want the law of attraction to work for you … it is not just having the belief system in you. You have got to build the habits to make it work for you!

If you are told that you can create all that you want but you are not working on the right habits, how can you make things happen? It is not enough to just visualize your desire for a few minutes in the day and then allow the space for your doubts and disbelief to return and derail you. You need to work on your self-discipline to strengthen your desire, motivation and commitment to whatever is necessary to make the miracles happen!

The law of attraction is not a method for getting rich quickly, without doing anything. It requires mental work, focus and visualization and also your willingness to follow the mental work with any required actions on the physical plane … all these need consistency through your habits!

A poem written as a reminder to myself that the joy and happiness of my life journey is entirely up to me and me alone. How fast and furious the journey is a decision laid within me.

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

Of late, I sleep from 3am to 10 am almost everyday. Probably that's why I am slow to recover from the effects of the wintery cold in Japan. Todate, I have yet to resume my normal routine as there are still so many outstanding things to do. Funny that I've been busy this whole week still.

Now it's the weekend again and I'm right here in Singapore. Thank you Lord for this wonderful life ... a life of abundant experience, fun and joy!

Living in gratitude is important in order to recognised all the good in our life. My friends, I am encouraging you to declare and celebrate your gratitude for all the little and big things in your life. You will find you have more reasons to be happy than not!

This week I wish to declare and celebrate my random gratitude;

1. I am grateful for all the assignments I have received for the week. I'm happy with the $$$ too.

2. I am grateful that I participated in TDH 5km "MOU MAN TAI" Night Run 3.0 held last Sunday evening. It was fun!

3. I am grateful for the sunshine that dries my clothes and the rain that came soon after to cool my afternoons. Perfect harmony for days without the sweat.

4. I am grateful that I have 2 more new books on the Law of Attraction added to my personal library. Need to clear my backlogs before I can start reading them.

5. I am grateful for being grateful! It's good to keep reminding myself in order to smell the roses every inch of the way in my life's journey.

Law Of Attraction: Are Your Negative Thoughts Derailing You?

Despite being inspired and knowing exactly what you need to do, you are still struggling to achieve your aspirations. If the things you desire still do not seem to fall into place, then most often than not you must have been derailed by your negative thoughts. How?

Firstly, let's not forget the power of your sub-conscious mind. You create your own circumstances through your subconscious mind. Most individual have been conditioned to think and react in the negative way whenever uncertainties loom ahead due to an instilled fear, fear of the unknown, fear of failure, fear of regret, fear of change and so on. Subconsciously, you are frightening yourselves into anxiety. Obviously, you have allowed your negative thoughts to derail you!

Before anything can change, there's a need for you to explore your thoughts, emotions and actions. You need to understand where these fears are coming from and how they are influencing your actions or inactions. Once you have determined the causes, you can then take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

Are you being derailed?
As an example, you want financial prosperity. You are inspired and know exactly what to do to energize yourselves and the infinite intelligence sends you leads in the form of opportunities and ideas. But subconsciously, you may be frightened by the thoughts of failure or change. You understand the risks you have to take, yet you become weakened in your actions. You react too slowly that the opportunities slipped away.

On the other hand, you may be frightened by the thoughts of regrets or missed opportunities, so you just jump right in without any evaluation. You react too quickly that you failed to realize whether you have the know-how or if you are prepared for the long haul.

As another example, you may dream of a successful relationship. You worked positively to focus on what you want and found yourself in a relationship that you had always dreamed of. But no matter what you do, it still did not last. Perhaps subconsciously you fear making the wrong choice. Even if the relationship hits the mark, you belief the next relationship could possibly be better.

You have no awareness that there are destructive efforts from within your sub-consciousness due to the uncertainties in your mind caused by your doubts and fears. Prepare to ask yourself what you are afraid of. Explore any possibilities from your past to present to help you get back on track again. When you have established an insight into your inner fears, you will rein full control of your thoughts, emotions and actions. You will be able to create the outcomes the way you want in the right direction.

A Note Of Awareness #36

The law of attraction is about using the power of your thoughts. Every thought that you invest immensely in will become your reality at some point in time. Isn’t this amazing?

Regretfully sometimes negative thoughts just sneak in and do their best to derail you from thinking positively as you should. Some said that “worrying is like little seeds of prayers and thoughts that are asking for what you don't want.” Just like a boomerang, each negative thought that goes out will eventually return to you. So remember that every negative thought you have will not hurt others but only yourself. So how do you keep this from happening?

It may not be easy to catch a negative thought that comes into your mind. Try your best to catch it whenever it comes and take a moment to observe it with a logical mind to get to the root of the matter. Why are you being negative?

When you understand why, it will definitely be easier for you to redirect it into the positive direction. NEVER accept negative thoughts without a fight!

What Am I Grateful For This Week ...

Reflecting on gratitude is to seek out the good things amidst our struggle, hardship and pain. When we embrace God's bountiful blessings through our many different situations and experiences, we will be able to find His gifts of healing and insights.

Every trial and tribulation that is before us is not aimed to discourage but more so that we will learn, grow and become more of who we truly can be. We are encouraged to face our fears and move through it, triumphing with greater strength and courage as we transform from a non-believer to a believer that we are to live with a greater purpose in life. Perhaps our experiences through various life challenges may make us a better 'lantern' for others, offering them hope and a way through.

Praise the bridge that carried you over.
~George Colman~

It is not always easy to see through the darkness to find things for which to be grateful. The first step in developing this habit is to be aware of it. Most importantly, remember that gratitude is ALWAYS an option.

Here's my random list of gratitude for this week;

1. I am grateful for a safe and fruitful trip to the Land of the Rising Sun.
2. I am grateful to have the opportunity to enjoy the sights and experience the culture in Japan that is so unlike where I live.
3. I am grateful that I will be travelling again next week ... this time nearby Singapore!
4. I am grateful for the not-so-extreme weather since we got back ... I am so happy for the rainy weather!
5. I am grateful for the discounted aromatherapy and hot-stone massage that helped to relax my body after the recent cold-to-the-bone trip.
6. I am grateful for a quiet and relaxing weekend.
7. I am grateful to my Lord who keeps me grounded all the time.
8. I am grateful that I can find so many things to be grateful for!

Law Of Attraction: Why Bad Things Happen

Have you ever asked why do bad things happen only to you? Do you blame it on others or the circumstances around you? Well I can bet my bottom dollar on it that most do and I was like that too before I came to learn about the law of attraction!

If you begin to understand the science of this Universal law and all that has been explained about the results of “like attracts like”, you will come to learn that not all bad things are the result of your own conscious attraction. Of course no one chooses for bad things to happen such as traumatic experiences, tragedies or sickness. Some things are attracted by default because of the condition you are in and having been conditioned throughout your life by these defaults, you did not know any better but remained in alignment with these situations. Inadvertently, you have become conditioned with limiting beliefs through no fault of yours.

Not to be exhausted by only the above, there may be a few other possible reasons that made you ask that question. Perhaps you are attracting something unfavorable into your life because you do not feel the full extent of your self-worth. Self-sabotaging yourself through guilt, shame and self-pity can fuel the attraction of negative or even painful experiences. Perhaps you have simply made some wrong choices in your life but self-condemnation will surely trap you even further in the negative situations.

There may be more in-depth and intricate reasons that are not covered above, but whether the reality you are in have been chosen for you or because you have allowed it to happen consciously or otherwise, none of it should ever mean a necessity for you to continue experiencing struggle, hardship or pain in your life. However, it is neither right that you should sit by and wait for positive change to happen because they simply won’t!

Through the fundamentals of the law of attraction, bad things that happened are deemed as challenges. These challenges are situations that you can learn from, grow and triumph over. They are meant to be the wake up calls when you are out of alignment with your inner self, the Universe and have been derailed from your intended direction in life.

To unravel why bad things happen in your life can help you transform your reality. This is a responsibility that only you and you alone can ever take. You have to realize that responsibility can bring you freedom and empowerment. The more responsibility you take for your life, the more you will be able to change it.

A Note Of Awareness #35

Gifts, healing and learning can come through challenges. The situation could be one from which you learn, grow and become more of who you are. Challenges can also serve as wake up calls when you are out of alignment with your true self, disconnected from your path or heading in the wrong direction.

That said, problems can hide gifts, as well as insights, healings and positive change. Some challenges may turn out to be blessings in disguise. Most rarely see the bigger picture or the know the full extent of their soul’s path from their everyday perspectives.

From the law of attraction stand point, your reality is manifested through what you either choose or allow at some level, consciously or otherwise. Responsibility brings freedom and empowerment; the more you take responsibility for your life, the more you are able to change it.

In the long run, we shape our lives, and we shape ourselves.
The process never ends until we die.
And the choices we make are ultimately our own responsibility.

~Eleanor Roosevelt~
