Every trial and tribulation that is before us is not aimed to discourage but more so that we will learn, grow and become more of who we truly can be. We are encouraged to face our fears and move through it, triumphing with greater strength and courage as we transform from a non-believer to a believer that we are to live with a greater purpose in life. Perhaps our experiences through various life challenges may make us a better 'lantern' for others, offering them hope and a way through.

Praise the bridge that carried you over. ~George Colman~ |
It is not always easy to see through the darkness to find things for which to be grateful. The first step in developing this habit is to be aware of it. Most importantly, remember that gratitude is ALWAYS an option.
Here's my random list of gratitude for this week;
1. I am grateful for a safe and fruitful trip to the Land of the Rising Sun.
2. I am grateful to have the opportunity to enjoy the sights and experience the culture in Japan that is so unlike where I live.
3. I am grateful that I will be travelling again next week ... this time nearby Singapore!
4. I am grateful for the not-so-extreme weather since we got back ... I am so happy for the rainy weather!
5. I am grateful for the discounted aromatherapy and hot-stone massage that helped to relax my body after the recent cold-to-the-bone trip.
6. I am grateful for a quiet and relaxing weekend.
7. I am grateful to my Lord who keeps me grounded all the time.
8. I am grateful that I can find so many things to be grateful for!
